We traveled to Boston for a couple of weeks and attended a handful of classes at this MyGym. Our 20 month old had a great time. My daughter loved going on the trampoline (her first time on one) and the ball pit. We mostly attended the Waddler classes. I liked that those classes were a bit more structured (with time built in for free time). Would definitely recommend! I'm super grateful to Donegan and the ladies! read more

I am surprised more parents have not taken the time to write wonderful reviews of this place. I started looking for gymnastics classes downtown for my 2 year old about a month ago as she is clearly very eager and ready. We attended an open house at My Gym and she had such a fantastic time we immediately signed up. The hour long toddler class is better than I could have imagined. I was very impressed by the amount of activities, enthusiasm of the staff (and subsequently children), variety of physical fitness activities, and other age appropriate lessons (i.e., waiting your turn, putting away toys, and manners) incorporated into this class. It was truly fantastic. My daughter had the best time and fell asleep (2 hrs before nap time) on the way home. To be candid, I was slightly hesitant at first about the cost ($75 sign up fee) and $94 for every 4 sessions you attend.... but having been to our first class, I can honestly say it is well worth the cost. Also I was excited to learn they offer a "Parents Night Out" one Friday every month and you can drop your children 2+ yrs off for a pizza party and activities from 5:30-8:30! Once we take advantage of that I will update the review. Other tips - they have open gym time a few times a week where you and your kids(s) can drop by to play, they host birthday parties, and it is very accessible with either free parking, or via the B line. read more

We have been taking our now 11-month-old daughter to MyGym's Tiny Tykes class on Saturday mornings for a month now, and it's fantastic. Our daughter loves the freedom to crawl and explore outside of our tiny Brookline apartment and we love having a safe place for her to play and develop new skills. The high-energy staff (we LOVE Miss Kristi!) make good use of the space, moving and maneuvering slides, bumpers, and swings. The equipment is clean and colorful. Every week there is something different, but the other kids in Tiny Tykes are regulars and it's fun for both the kids and the parents to bond. There is ample free parking in the back, and street parking out front. MyGym is going to be a lifesaver as our daughter develops more physically and will need to get her energy out this winter! read more

I'm a nanny, and have never been to a place like this before. They offer movement "classes" for different age groups, and "open gym" time when the kids can explore the space on their own. It's like a big, padded playground with monkey bars, slides, ropes, trampolines, balance beams, swings, a ball pit. and ramps to entertain the little ones. Adults are expected to stay next to their kid at all times, so it's not like you drop them off or anything. Most classes start with circle time and end with "separation" time, when the instructors play with the little ones while the adults wait at the entrance. It lasts about ten minutes, and most kids do really well with it. But I just got a peek at the class prices, and holy cow, expensive! read more

We started taking our (now 20 month old) daughter here in September 2015 and LOVE it!! It's super clean (we took her to a different gymnastics place last year and it was so dirty so I made sure to look for this right away). We never get bored because they switch up the gym setup and curriculum every week, so its not only refreshing for our daughter but good for the parents. The teachers are AWESOME...so helpful and friendly. Our daughter was super shy about trying the gymnastics for the first few weeks and they were never pushy (they encouraged but didn't push her to do it). Now she seems so much more confident every time she goes and tries more and more every week. the most important thing is that my daughter loves it....All I can say is that alllll week I hear "my gym, my gym???" read more

I had been actively looking for music/movement classes for my active 15-month-old and was coming up short on options for working Moms. I bought a recent voucher on LivingSocial Families for membership and four classes at My Gym on Comm Ave. My son and I have now been twice and I can't say enough good things about the experience. First of all -- FREE PARKING! So amazingly convenient. The class space itself is big, open and immaculately clean. There are infinite numbers of things for little one's to climb and play with. Bright colors, mirrors, and -- my son's favorite -- balls of all sizes. (He can't get enough!) The Waddlers class we have been taking is a perfect combination of open play, circle time, dancing, and different stations where the kids can experience new things like tumbling and balancing on a beam (with the help of the staff, of course). The staff is engaging, friendly, and amazing with the kids. They remember each baby by name -- consistently. Truly impressive. We will definitely be continuing our My Gym classes well after we use the four classes allotted in by our voucher! read more

My daughter (2 1/2 yrs) has been attending MyGym Boston for a year now, and still loves it! Every morning I ask her where she wants to go, and she says MyGym...every time. We have had two parties here, and they were truly great! We love the entire staff and have such a great time when we come. She has gone through a few age groups, and I really like how every 6 months, she has had classes that modify the curriculum to help her develop. The free parking and access to Star Market are a HUGE bonus. I was very hesitant to take a class that I would need (not really need since it is t accessible) to drive, but it is 100% worth it. read more

Horrific, unfair business practices BEWARE of businesses that require that they automatically bill your credit card and then don't give you a copy of the contract until it's too late to cancel. Yes, this is what happened with My Gym. Classes are billed every 4 weeks with a minimum of 8 weeks. They require 4 weeks notice to cancel, so essentially, you must cancel before the first 4 weeks are up, otherwise you'll be billed for 12 weeks total, and so on. They decided to wait SIX WEEKS after the class I signed on to give me my copy of the contract (which I hurriedly signed with my toddler running around as we were trying to get out the door). After I got it, I read it and tried to cancel the next day but was told I was too late and must pay for another 4 weeks of classes that we weren't planning to take. I tried to call my credit card company and found out that the exact day I made a complaint, My Gym had processed the charge for the next set of classes - this was 2 weeks ahead of when it should have been processed. Gee, what a coincidence. They wanted to make sure they got their money because I was making a complaint, so they charged me even though it wasn't time to bill my card. I am sure I am not the only one that got roped into paying for classes that I didn't want. Too bad. My daughter loved the classes here but this is purposeful deception on the part of management. read more

We've had our now 3 year old at My Gym for 9 months and have loved the experience. A few weeks ago, we had his birthday party there and it was fantastic. Thank you to My Gym for an amazing birthday party for our son. It was so special for him and for us. Cooper and Kristen did such an amazing job. My husband and I were so impressed with their organization, energy and creativity with the kids. All of our friends loved the entire party and have told us what a great time their kids had. I hadn't ever been to a birthday party at My Gym, so I didn't know what to expect. I am still smiling thinking about it. Our son was grinning from ear to ear the entire time and is still talking about "my birthday party". Thank you for a job well done! I have been taking my 3 year old daughter to MyGym's class on Saturday mornings for the past few months. My daughter looks forward to this class all week long. The instructors are super sweet! They are always very kind to all the kids. The class structure is perfect for the little ones. They have a great balance of free-play, circle time, and activities/games that teach children skills while having fun. The most amazing part of this place is that every week their set-ups, songs, activities, puppet shows, and skills stations are different. Your child will have a unique experience every time he or she goes. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!!!! read more

I have been going here every Saturday for the past couple of months, its a great thing for my child and I. (1) Its convenient, (2) its something to do with her on Saturday mornings, (3) she is completely exhausted when the class is over and (4) she has become quite adept early-on with her running/motor skills. Great gym place for kids. The staff is so great with kids, they have lots of classes and open gym hours for members and they change the set up every week so kids love it because it's always new and exciting . I do think however they are great for the toddler age group, not so much for older kids. The class is not a true gymnastics class and the skills they "practice" are fun but kids only get 1-2 turns to do them. Overall love love love this place especially for kids under 4. read more

Great program and great staff! One of the best ways to incorporate movement, peer-interaction, social skills and overall fun for the little ones. Space is clean and safe, classes are instructor-led which is a huge plus, gave me a little time to recharge and relax a bit, knowing that he was safe and having fun while I sat close by watching. the instructors are awesome! They really do love their jobs and interact with the kids great. not sure where they get all that energy from....but I LOVE it!!! activities/curriculum change (weekly) so the kids don't get bored, but come to think of it.....what child gets bored when they are surrounded by other eager munchkins, bright colorful space to explore, great music, and energetic staff!!!! read more

I brought my 4 year old son here for weekly gym classes. The best thing about the gym is that it's very clean compared to other places in the area. The instructors are enthusiastic and fun, though variable in the extent to which they'll take the extra effort to draw a shy child into activities. I'd consider 4 and under the ideal age group for this gym - much of the focus was on songs, circle time, puppet shows, rather than true gymnastics skills, though my son did become more confident at the playground after starting classes. Also, on weekends, the classes can get quite large (about 10-14), so the kids spend a lot of time waiting their turn for an activity. Weekday classes seemed much smaller, if these work for your schedule. read more

One of the best children's programs in the Boston area! My children have all began their career there in their Little Bundles class ( 6 WEEKS of age!) and now continue to grow as they get older (Whiz Kid-5, MIte-3 and Waddler-16 months). We love how the program grows with your child beginning with the first classes as they give you skills like forward rolls and baby sit-ups (so stinkin cute!) and as they get older, the kids are able to take the skills that they have learned and have applied them in the program. They also work on independent play with the little ones, team work building with the older ones and it's all done in a non-competitive atmpsphere where the staff encourage and challenge each child based on their skill and comfort level. There is always an adorable puppet show and the staff make sure that they know each child and parent every class- and the music... the playlists each week are AWESOME! My husband and I always talk about how great the music is to listen to while we are there each week- we enjoy it just as much as the kids do! We have celebrated multiple parties with the gym over the past 5 years (From our kids turning one, to our upcoming daughter turning 4 at the end of this month!) and while the cost is up there, it is totally worth every penny! They make your child feel like #1, they play their favorite games, dances, songs, gymnastic skills and literally don't even make you lift a finger! We have brought our own food and cake but they also have a package that provides all that as well! We've been to other Boston-area parties and they stand by and do NOTHING with the kids other than occupy dead air for 1.5 hours. My Gym Boston runs marathons around your child and their guests during their special day- and the staff always amazes me by saying they still have one or two parties after ours- where do they find that energy?! We love how the program also has a gentle approach of encouraging our children to try out what they offer each week (the gym set up changes each week- I wish my own gym did that!!) but the staff (because they are seriously so personable!) know the comfort level of our children, when to challenge them and also when to bring them back to my husband or myself if they need a couple of minutes to get refocused. We love the structure of the program. Our children have learned how to sit and wait their turn, how to play fun childhood games (ring around the rosey, redlight/green light, freeze dance) how to make friends and play alongside other children. This didn't happen overnight- it took around a month for our oldest to become acclimated with the program and when it was time to explore vs when it is time to listen. This has been a huge help with transitioning her to preschool and now kindergarten. Looking forward to watching the program grow with our children and in our Boston community! We would recommend this to any new parent or nanny looking to find their way with a newborn, a parent or nanny or grandparent with a toddler looking to get them tired and a family with an elementary school child looking to keep light structure and activity in their child's schedule without overwhelming them too much! read more
