I went for some work fun, and it was such a delightful experience. There were a few issues with the lane, and Karla with a K (I'll never forget her cute intro) who also checked us in went to fix our lane for us. She cracked a few jokes while helping us and she's really funny!! A gentleman named Steve assisted us with our order, and I really appreciated that he spoke fluent Spanish! Overall, it was a great time--the bartender was awesome, the food was hot and ready, and while the music could've been better, it was still decent. read more

I used to love coming to this Bowlero and have been coming here for years. The past couple of times have been bad experiences. The restrooms are always filthy, lanes are broken with no maintenance staff to fix them. I don't know what is happening with this place, but it's not good. I was here this past Sunday and it wasn't even that busy(probably because half the lanes were closed due to not operating), and the restrooms were disgusting. The lane we were in malfunctioned a few times and one of the times it racked fresh pins on top of pins Kinda wish I had that on vid. Hoping things change back to how it used to be... To begin with I have been to this place countless times. This is the nearest bowling alley to me so I attend this place twice a month. The staff is always kind but as of Friday my opinion has changed. Family and myself decided to play at this location Friday evening excited to bowl. After getting lane 16 and putting on our shoes we threw the first bowl. On the first toss we immediately noticed the lane was not oiled. We tried different sizes in hopes of the balls being the issue but we came to the conclusion that the lane had no oil. We nicely addressed the situation to the staff and they said that the oiling is done before the establishment opens. I found this a bit ridiculous knowing that there was absolutely little to no oil on our lane. There was no effort to satisfy our request nor and apology for the lack of maintenance. All I ask is to promptly check lanes and assure that they are oiled. read more

Bowlero's have come to the 626 and they're here to stay! Think of Bowlero's as an upgraded version of AMF (they're owned by the same family). They're serving up some good bar food, arcade games, billiards, and a full bar for your entertainment needs - let's also not forget the bowling element of this place...I mean, they are a bowling alley after all, right? Bowlero has some amazing deals on certain nights, including $2 Tuesdays. This specific location has less arcade games than the Arcadia, but it's still a great place for bowling! You'll be able to find an area to play pool as well! This bowling alley has a full-on bar with delicious bites that are photo-worthy (e.g. moscow mule for a group of four, behemoth burger, extra long hot dog, etc). I am surprised I haven't written a review for this place. I've been bowling here for a while now, back when I was in a bowling league for WAKA. This is a fun, lively bowling alley but not a place for professional bowlers. There are games, neon lights, music, etc, but don't expect well oiled lanes. My cousins just bought a new ball and their balls got a bit chipped. But with that said, its a cool place, friendly staff and they also offer a Summer Pass. We had a birthday party yesterday. We couldn't be any happier with our experience. From the start Ashley answered all of our questions and helped out when we needed anything. Sean the manager on duty made sure we and our invitees were being looked after. The biggest shout out goes to Luis. Luis made every effort to make sure the soft drinks and water jugs were filled, the food was replenished and made his rounds to ask about the adult drinks. I went with a group of 10 people. We got two lanes, with five people for each lane. They had a special for unlimited games (including shoe rental) for like $25 or something like that. I did not want to stay long because I was very tired, so I planned on two games. Two games plus the shoe rental would have cost more than the unlimited, so obviously I went for the unlimited. They reset our game after three rounds, so we had to start over again. During that next round, the pin resetter (sp?) stopped working, and pressing the reset button never worked, so we had to go over and get them to reset it, which took many minutes to happen. So after the first game was done, like an hour and a half later (yes, just for one game because of the mishaps), I wanted to leave. Since I paid for unlimited, so I could play two games, but I was only able to play one because of their issues, I wanted either a discount or some sort of credit. They flat-out refused, claiming that it is company policy that there are no refunds, especially for the unlimited. On top of that, one of our group ordered pizza and lemonade to share. During our game, they came to clear our area of trash, the empty pizza tray and stand, and also the plates. Two people were not right next to their half-eaten pizza when this worker came by, and the worker took their unfinished pizza without asking anyone if they were finished or not. One of them just happened to come over right as they were about to dump it, and said they were not done with their pizza and wanted to finish it. The other person lost out and was pissed about it when they found out their pizza was thrown away. Most of us agreed we would never go to this location again. read more

Visited fathers day weekend to take out most of the family. It was not the experience that I usually get at Bowlero but also the first time I have been to the Pasadena location. After speaking with some coworkers the following week it sounds like it is the norm for this location. I had held off on posting anything and was not sure if I would but after hearing their experience as well and going to two other Bowlero locations the following week and having a great experience I figured I should. Started off when I got there and tried to check in and was told to use the QR code and do it myself. Usually at all of the other locations I go to with no one else waiting at the counter they will check you in but fair enough if they want us to follow a specific process. For some reason the temperature inside was hotter than outside, we asked and were told that the AC was on. This was one of the things that my coworkers had commented on as well. Their thought was they keep it hot so people buy more drinks. I can understand the logic but not an environment I would look forward to coming back too. Went to 2 more Bowlero's the following week including on were it was 105 outside and it was cool and comfortable inside. Bought drinks and game cards so that we could start killing some time. The rest of our group arrived shortly after so we bought more drinks, food and game cards. The bartender seemed nice enough but a little inept. Checked in multiple times to see if they were checking people in since more and more lanes were opening including multiple pairs next to each other that could accommodate our group. When we arrived the place was full but after an hour about 1/3 of the lanes were open. I did see one party come in later but more lanes had opened and it remained about 1/3 open. At 6pm some of their staff finally started walking around and taking notes on what lanes were open and proceeded to start filling the lanes. Of course this is after the time when you could use a Groupon. I inquired with the staff and they said it did not matter that we had been there for 2 hours waiting or that they had open lanes and didn't call to fill them until after 6pm. After 6 Groupon's were not honored. I brought up that I had been up multiple times and that it felt like they were doing this as a way to make a little more money. Told them I had already waited over 2 hours so we were going to bowl and they offered to send over the GM so I could talk to them about it. We went to our assigned lanes and had a group come up while we were setting up the names saying they were assigned the same lanes. Went to the front desk and they assigned us new lanes. We were setting up our lanes and getting ready to bowl when I spotted the GM. We were not completely sure but he had a sour expression and was staring at us so we checked to be safe. He started off asking if we were going to curse him out like we did his staff. We had not cursed out his staff but if thats what they had told him I could understand the look on his face. We expressed our concern and he insisted that they had people pre pay for lanes and not show up. This is why they had keep so many lanes open. This did not seem very plausible but it was what he was sticking too. Told him that for an hour or so there were consistently 10+ lanes open with multiple groupings of 2 or more lanes. That we had seen the grouping on the left of the alley that was used for parties and were not even counting that section when checking expecting that they had some reservations. He noted that they needed to clean the lanes before seating people. I let him know that most of his staff was hanging around the empty front counter and hadn't come to clean them before seating us.. That the lanes were clean when we had gone up earlier inquiring about them. He apologized which I appreciated but stuck to the story about all of those lanes being pre paid and people just not showing up. I just can't see that many people paying and losing their money. He offered a pass that we could use for 5 people on our next visit which was appreciated but ended up paying more to bowl one game than our group would have to play 2 hours. The whole group was talking about the poor experience while at dinner afterwards. I do not think this is standard for the company but talking to other people I know who have been to this location it sounds like they do not offer as good of a customer experience as the other locations do. It is kind of sad because the facilities were much nicer than the ones I usually go to. I would gladly go to an older location with better staff. read more

Luis at the bar is a gem, there was a young girl at the check in desk this evening who was very kind. Otherwise the service here is terrible, every interaction I had with staff was RUDE. Absolutely rude for no reason we were here for a birthday so we were trying so hard to have a nice time but every single staff or waiter was rude to us no matter what question we asked, made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. I would never return to this location even though we had fun bowling with our family. Horrible attitudes. We had an amazing time at Bowlero Pasadena. We rented two lanes for 2 hours online, the reservation process was extremely seamless and straightforward. Our friends and family of 12 had a blast and even purchased arcade cards from the menu before closing our our contract. Came here on a Friday night (holiday weekend) and it was empty. Should have gave us a red flag but we stayed since the Arcadia one was packed. We got two lanes, both were way too oily and ball never really breaks so you'll have to do mainly straight bowling. Surprisingly food was decent but wish they out hand sanitizers somewhere close as we got finger foods and nobody likes to touch dirty balls and eat with their hands after. Service was just OK. Logistically payment sucks cause you have to put a card down for lanes then another for food then another for pool. I wish they just charged us once. Front desk people were super friendly and that's probably why it got 2 stars. The big reason for the low real other than what was states above is their deceptive practice. They charge you 18% service fee and they give you two receipts, one with the broken down charges and one where u sign and it only shows a total and gratuity field. Meaning I'm sure tons of people like me gave a tip not aware one was already charged since it's not on both receipts. Sure it partially was my fault but this is the 4th receipt I signed for ONE party since had a credit card hold for pool, one for food, and one for each lane (this was also annoying cause I had to use a separate card for the 2nd lane even though we are the same party). Two games cost us $200, pretty expensive considering lanes sucked. We won't be back here again. read more

Death is not the only loss we grieve. Sometimes it's the loss of the ability to go out with friends or family. Sometimes it's the actual places that we used to go. And sometimes it's both. During this COVID19 pandemic thing, one of the losses that I am grieving is Bowlero. I didn't grieve when Bowlmor changed their entire brand and became Bowlero because Bowlmor sucked and Bowlero is much better (with the exception of the dreary parking lot, which sadly wasn't included in the renovations). But I only had the chance to experience Bowlero one time before the stay at home orders struck and it was "closed temporarily" until further notice. I patiently await their re-opening so I can enjoy the cathartic act of throwing hard spherical balls to knock down wooden objects coated with plastic. So I am unable to head back here until it's safe to, which is another thing added to the list of losses that I am grieving...until further notice of course. read more

Bowlero Pasadena is OK overall. I love bowling, so it's hard for me to not have a good time whenever I find myself in a bowling alley. But there were a few things that left room for improvement: 1.) The service is really slow and inconsistent at the bowling lanes. We ordered drinks and they didn't arrive for 20 minutes, after which we inquired before they were brought out 2.) The bartenders came across as disinterested and distracted 3.) There was an altercation between a woman and her boyfriend (?), and the police ended up arriving as a result of it escalating. Seems like some questionable characters visit this spot, unfortunately (although maybe that was a one-off occurrence). 4. The arcade is fun, but it really is small and doesn't have a ton of options If you want a low key, low frills, not-too-expensive bowling alley in the Pasadena area, this place will get the job done. It could be better, but it could definitely be a lot worse. read more

My two older kids and my mother visited this location a while back. They had so much fun! My boys had never been bowling before so it was pretty cool to them. They serve food but it's pretty pricey so definitely plan to spend a good chuck of change. The bowling lanes constantly break down. You cannot get into a Boulder's rhythm. When you have to wait thirty forty five minutes, 'cause the bowling lane continuously breaks down.I have been going there for over a year and being tortured.I finally moved over to a bowling alley in glendale.That I go to during the day and if I just want to practice because this is close to me, I try to go there but i'm tortured every time because the lanes continuously break down, they're fixing it, they're fixing it and they never fix it. read more
