I went to Neon Retro Arcade recently with a pal. We purchased our tickets online. We bought individual tickets to play games for 2 hours. We had fun. We played arcade games as well as games on consoles. I like that there was a Valentine's Day photo op at the time. The place is a bit small, but we were still able to navigate it just fine.

This place is so fun. They have a good assortment of old video games from the 80's and 90's along with some pinball machines. It's located near lots of restaurants and parking structures. It wasn't too loud and they had a decent bathroom. We experienced the joy sticks were giving us delayed reactions on some of the games so that was a little frustrating but they're old machines so it's to be expected. Overall we had tons of fun. The games are set to free game mode by the way so no coins or play cards needed.

$15 for 1 hour of play is really fun! Unlimited amount of play at one game. No need coins or anything. There is shooting games, pin ball machines, fighting games, etc. Very Fun! There is a restroom. Place is clean. Parking at parking garage is $1 for 2 hours.

We were wandering around old town Pasadena, and discovered this place. It was a hot day, and they have strong air conditioning. The cashier is friendly, and he explained to us that it would be $15 per person per hour with all free play. There were lot of retro games (e.g. street fighters, police academy, Mario carts etc.). We spend a fun hour in this place. There are a few parking structures around the old town Pasadena area. Will come back again.

Great 90's vibe inside this quaint arcade situated a block south of Old Town Pasadena. Friendly counter staff, clean machines, and a good mix of classic arcade games, unique pinball machines, and even a couple of wall TVs with Xbox/Playstation games. Customer bathroom inside. Reasonably priced hourly rates. Stayed a little over an hour and the time flew by. Perfect stop for some good laughs.

Visiting from out of town and staying at a nearby hotel, we were looking for a place the kids might enjoy. This fit the bill perfectly. $15 for each of us for an hour. Gal gave us an extra ten minutes cause we had to wait a bit to get checked in. There were only a couple other folks in there on a Wednesday afternoon so the four of us had no problem getting on any game we wanted. Pinball machines for me. Only one wasn't working right. Place was clean. Best part was the AC was working just fine cause it was so HOT out. An hour was just the right amount of time for everyone to play what they wanted to.

Came with friends after dinner and had fun playing games we haven't seen in years. All games are available for play with the entrance fee of either $15 for an hour or $25 all day. No food menu- some candy type snacks and a few soft drinks and water available for purchase near register. We stayed an hour and felt it was enough time to play a variety of games including pinball machines. It was a lot of fun. Clean restroom on site. Street parking or nearby parking structure available. Fun for adults and kids.

Been taking my son here since he was 8 and at 17 now, he does not tire of this establishment. If it was not for Neon Arcade, the kid would not really know what is nostalgia of my youth. The staff are always nice. Majority of arcades are in well working order but some have fuzzy screens. Some games get rotated out which is a good thing to keep people coming back. Hoping they will bring the Simpsons and WWF back and put in Metal Slug as well. Do I wish they had more games? YES!!! Do I wish they had an additional floor for more pinball machines? YES!!! Do I wish they had more space? YES!!! More space means MORE GAMES!!!

My two boys, 10 and 11 years old LOVE this spot. As a parent, I am just happy that there is a space for them to play pinball, video games, and game consoles in a space that isn't too small but not too large. We have visited other All You Can Play Arcades and it is priced the best and has the most variety. When you have two excited kids, you want to give them the freedom to explore and roam around on their own and you can do that at Neon Retro Arcade. Pasadena is our GO TO staycation spot and Neon Retro has to be part of the plan. I just pay for the all-day pass and we have the freedom to go in and out of the arcade. It is just a stress-free thing to do for my family and a parent LOVE it to pieces.

This particular pinball machine was so beautifully done, Jaws

What are least busiest times to go?

We’re busiest on Saturday and Sunday before 4pm. If you’re looking for a quieter time to visit, try weekdays or right at open (12pm). 😃

Are the arcade games old school and take quarters or do you need to purchase a playing card?

Thanks for your interest! Admission is $15/person for 1 hour of game time or $25/person for an all day pass. All of the games are set to “free play” so you can just walk up and press start. No quarters, tokens or game cards are needed.

Do you have food and drinks available ,alcohol?

No they do not. From what I saw a couple bottled drinks water etc. and I think I saw candy snacks.

Do y'all have Daytona USA or know of any place that does?

    Unfortunately, we do not :(

Hi. Are there games here that are appropriate for a 3 and a 5 year old? Thank you.

Hi there! I would say the arcade works best for ages 6+. Little kids visit often but require their parent’s help in figuring out how to play.

Please tell me do you have skee-ball?

Unfortunately, no. We specialize in retro video games & we have a few pinball machines.

Do they have Millipede? Not Centipede, but Millipede?

Yes, we currently have Millipede at our Pasadena location. A full list of our games is available here: http://neonretroarcade.com/games-pasadena.html

Hi can I know if adults need pay for admission or just the kids pay?

Adults are customers too, no? 😇 /// Truth be told, the staff there are very accommodating. I'd be surprised if they gave you a hard time about accompanying your young one. Then again, $10 gets you access to a boat load of arcade game. The Simpsons… Read more

If i plan an event are all the games in the arcade available?

Yes, all of our games are included when you book a party. Games are usually shared with other arcade guests but we also have full facility rentals available.

    Is their a foosball table?

    No foosball, yet!

Can you reserve the whole place for special events?

Hi Gia, We rent out the facility for special events for up to 50 guests. For more information, please visit the following link and include details about your event in the notes section. Thank you! http://www.neonretroarcade.com/events.html

At what age do kids have to pay?

    5yo

Is there an air hockey table?

    No there is not :(

    Do they have a bar?

We do not have a bar or restaurant but we are located in a neighborhood with countless food and drink options for before or after game time. Thanks for reaching out!

Any parking for Neon Retro Arcade?/

It's self parking with the parking meters or you can use the parking structure and pay a fee .. I'd suggest arrive early .

Can it be 10 dollars per person or group?

Thanks for reaching out. Admission is $10/person for an hour of free play games; $25/person for an all day pass.

I booked everything just one week in advance, and from the very beginning, Tigran made the entire process feel easy and stress free. As a parent, you usually spend the whole party worrying about details, but not here! All I had to do was walk in with the cake. The team handled everything from A to Z. Tigran and Arno were incredibly attentive and genuinely so kind, which allowed me to actually enjoy the night and spend quality time with my daughter and our guests. The unlimited play cards were honestly one of the best parts of the whole experience. Not having to worry about refilling cards or parents having to pay for additional games made everything so seamless. The kids could just play freely and hop from game to game. We had guest kids ranging from 4 to 16 years old, plus a room full of adults, and EVERYONE had an absolute blast. The catering option offered was also delicious and beautifully set up, which made hosting even easier. EVERY SINGLE DETAIL WAS TAKEN CARE OF. Most importantly, my daughter felt so special and had the biggest smile on her face the entire time. That alone made it worth it. Not only will we host another party here, but we will definitely be regulars since they offer open play on days when there are no events. So we'll definitely be seeing you again very soon and often! You're not cramped in here fighting for space. Game-wise... don't come here expecting anything crazy. There's nothing super serious for hardcore gamers, no rare cabinets or anything you're gonna geek out over. It's more like solid, familiar stuff. That said, it does work really well as a date spot because there's a lot of co-op games, so you're not just standing there awkwardly -- you actually have something to do. Now the food... I still haven't gone deep into it, but the wing deal is actually a good deal for these times, which is rare. That alone makes it worth pulling up on a Tuesday. Menu is kinda big though, and anytime I see a big menu like that I start side-eyeing the kitchen a little bit... like yeah some of this gotta be frozen But overall? It's a good spot for wings and beer without spending Ye Rustic money. If you're trying to keep it chill and not blow your wallet, this is a solid move. Not a gamer spot, not a foodie spot... just a good hang.

I was disappointed to see record stores have dried up, but when I looked up comic book stores, this was near the top, and close to where I had lunch. Street parking is fairly easy, and I didn't realize that the first door I passed was another entrance to a café looking area. However, the main entrance was a visually impressive experience in its own right. Full of stimuli basically, that's assured at Revenge of... (the Nerds? Supes?). Love the name! In addition to comics and usual toys and nicknacks, I was delighted to find not one, but two areas devoted to pinball machines! Additionally, the interior design evokes lots of classic (e.g. Silver and Bronze Age) artwork. X-Men and Spider-Man definitely influenced the architectural approach. It's impressive and lends a fun vibe, as well as atmospheric lighting. Two café counters in different areas allow for drinks to be purchased, and lots of nooks and crannies have things ranging from vinyl records, board games, a discounted graphic novels area, as well as recent comic titles and weekly releases (typically on Wednesdays). The back issues are found in X shaped fixtures and spaced in a clever arrangement that simultaneously encourages and enhances browsing, and yet doesn't clutter the walking areas. I found several missing issues for my Conan the Barbarian run, and everything is bagged and boarded (archival terms), so that's good. I didn't explore the pinball machines as I was pressed for time, but I definitely see myself visiting when I'm nearby in the future.
