My girls (10 & 8 years old) had a great time here winning plushies and trading up for a bigger prizes. They said it was the "best claw machine place ever." The claws had good grips and not like the kind to lose its grip once you grab a hold of something. My 4-year old didn't really know how to do the claw machine so she was kind of helpless watching and being grumpy at the sidelines. The bigger kids both ended up trading up and getting 2 Pusheens (valued at $28-38 on Amazon) that they said is popular at school. My girls were so happy to get a free try when they ran out of credits. Each game takes between 8-12 credits (average about $1.40-$2.20 per play). While it is a little more expensive per play, I think the claw machines are easier to win at compared to other competitors The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even gave a little tutorial with tips to win, such as double tapping the button to close the claw and you can ask them to reposition plushies or exchange prizes from within the same machine. While I was there, the staff were constantly restocking and repositioning the plushies They offer a trade up program, ranging from 5 up to 35 plushies. I was able to win 13 plushies for $30 and exchange for the prizes I wanted, Gudetama and Pusheen. By the way, the trade up prizes appear to be official/licensed plushies! They offer jumbo prizes from 15 to the giant Hello Kitty for 35 plushies, which is pretty reasonable. Tip: If you're trying to exchange for a larger prize, focus on the 8 credit machines. This was an amazing experience all around for my two girls and myself. When we set foot in there I was ready to throw away $50 easily with two grumpy kids who possibly didn't win, as this is my usual experience with these places. So this time around, we were excited to see prizes we wanted to play for. The employee there was really helpful in explaining how the machines worked after showing us how to purchase our new card from their game card dispenser. He also informed us that when you spend $10 you get a free small prize, however I don't know if that is one prize per visit no matter how many times you get credit because we got a free prize when we spent $30 at first and then when my husband spent another $10, he didn't come back with another small prize. The claw games were easy to play and more about luck than skill since the claw strengths for machines varied. What I liked about winning prizes here is you have an option to switch out the prize you won from the machine with another prize within the same machine. Also, you can exchange the number of wins you get from the claw machines to get bigger and better quality prizes. We decided to keep our prizes since we played for what we wanted and plus the minimum for an exchange was, I believe, five prizes. They also had other games, such as grabbing random Pokemon balls to find a key that is liked to a prize locker, a game where you have to press down on the right moment to have a little hammer knock down a prize, and I think there was another game that involved cutting a piece of string to get a video game console. We definitely would have won more prizes if we gave up on some machines instead of persisted in winning something or waited for the worker to restock machines, but at least we walked away with items we liked. Surprisingly very easy to win something. Not sure about the bigger claw machines, but the regular ones you will definitely get something. If you double press, once to let go of the claw and second to grab onto a plush, you will have a way higher chance of winning. FUN FOR ALL! I walked in literally to watch but was sold when there was a sign saying free prize if you spend $10 which was a Nintendo keychain. The owner was nice enough to give my girlfriend and I both one which we got a donkey Kong one and yoshi one. The cranes here aren't rigged and are legit like the ones in Japan. Tapping the button again locks the crane in and holds it tight. For $10 I literally won three different cranes and was like the best value you can get from something that usually just takes your money. A great overall experience. Most cranes are $2(8 credits) a play but there are some that are $1(4 credits). Also the owner was blasting K-pop and was making this store a vibe, hyping everyone up. It's small and fairly pricey (each play is between $1-2) but it makes it up in friendly and helpful staff and the machines are fair and if you miss a few times the staff will help you out. This might sound harmless, but in reality, it cheats players out of loyalty points that they are entitled to. The store uses a points system -- every transaction earns points, and after so many, you earn rewards or discounts. By combining multiple players' purchases into one, they significantly reduce the number of points each child would earn. Parents who aren't familiar with how the store's rewards system works would never think twice about it. It seems like they're being helpful. But in reality, over time, this adds up to major savings that the store is keeping out of the customers' hands. Ten points might seem small in the moment, but across hundreds or thousands of customers, this "small" difference can save the store hundreds or even thousands of dollars over time -- money that should have gone back to the customers and their kids. Advice for Parents and Players: Always make separate transactions for each child/player. Do NOT allow Rob, Jesse, or any other employee to "bundle" purchases, even if they suggest it would be easier or faster. Double-check that points are properly awarded for every individual transaction. The Store's Reaction to Being Called Out After noticing this happening over multiple visits, I started speaking up about it -- both to other parents in the store and directly to the staff. I made it clear that I did not agree with their tactics and warned others to be cautious. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, Claw Daddy's response was emotional and retaliatory: they banned me from the store. Their decision to ban me wasn't based on any bad behavior on my part -- it was simply because I pointed out a flaw in their practices that they didn't want to admit to. Instead of fixing the issue or even discussing it respectfully, they chose to silence a concerned parent who was advocating for transparency and fairness. Final Thoughts Claw Daddy may seem like a friendly neighborhood card store, but behind the smiles and offers of "help," there are practices in place that take advantage of loyal customers, especially children and their unsuspecting parents. It's disappointing and frankly infuriating to see a store that should be building a community instead resort to shady tactics to save a few dollars. To any parent reading this: If you still choose to bring your children to Claw Daddy, be cautious. Advocate for your kids. Stand your ground. This place has surprised me. This location, filled with awesome claw machines, is a great place to spend time with kids, your significant other, or even yourself and have a great time. Although the time goes by fast because of all the fun you're having, you will not regret it.  We spent $30 for 120 points or credits, at which point we got an extra 30 credits for a total of 150 credits/points. Additionally, the more you load your card, the more extra credits you get as a "bonus." My son and daughter have a blast with claw machines and typically leave sad and disappointed because it seems a million claw machines out there are rigged to make you fail. Well, not here. My son ended up winning a total of 7 plushies, a significant amount which was aided by an offer of a thick plastic bag (at no additional cost), which just helped our kids get even more excited, making it seem that they had a container for their trophies.  The person who helped us, whose name I forgot (sorry!), was very helpful and attentive. She showed that she cared as she explained how to play and use the machine to my family and anyone who mentioned that it was their first time there. Most machines cost about 8-12 credits, and the worker told me each "credit" is similar or equivalent to 1 quarter, meaning most machines were about $2-$3, but you have a high chance of winning.
