Had such a fun time and Frank was so patient supporting my kids as they navigated VR for the first time. Great family owned business worth supporting!

Great for groups

This place is great! Very affordable and the games are fun. The owner was very accommodating and welcoming. We're definitely coming back!

Still a favorite!!!

We had an impromptu party plan for my 16th year old and it was a blast. Thanks to the owner, they are very accommodating and very considerate. We recommend this place highly for those gamers and parents. We enjoyed it! Thanks again

Boyle Heights has been in need of a place like this! Staff is super helpful and friendly. Frank and Nancy have always been patient with all our questions and will guide you to an experience that best suits your needs. We're definitely coming back again.

This place was super nice inside of a plaza in Little Tokyo. It's located on the 3rd floor and there is parking in the structure which can be validated by the staff in X Lanes. I was very pleased with our time there - we made a 9 pm reservation and was able to add more time later. We ordered food - some hits some misses but everything was decent. Our party ordered mocktails and cocktails - the verdict on the drinks was half and half. I thought my mango mule was just okay. It was lacking the mango flavor. The staff were accommodating and the location was clean and fun! We will be back!

When we first sat down, our server greeted us but never came back to take our order for food or drinks the entire time we were there. Around 5:40 PM, I went to the front desk to ask if we could extend for another hour since we were planning to order food and drinks. I explained that our server never returned to take our order, but the staff at the front didn't seem to care and just said they were "full" and couldn't extend our time. There was no attempt to fix the situation or acknowledge the poor service. To make things worse, our lane time was cut off about 15 minutes early even though we paid for a full hour. Another thing that made me uncomfortable was that the server said he needed to hold onto my credit card to keep the tab open. I agreed because we planned to order more food and drinks, but given the lack of service, that felt questionable. I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on my statement to make sure there are no unauthorized charges. Overall, very poor service and a frustrating experience. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Definitely brought out my inner kid. The arcade had a good amount of games, good energy, and was perfect for a spontaneous night out. I have passed by this place many times and honestly wouldn't have gone if it wasn't on the card, so I'm glad it pushed me to try something different. Play for adults I believe was $15 for an hour. Located on Raymond Ave in between Colorado Blvd & Green St. You can find meter parking if you're lucky or park at the structure nearby.

Unsure how they handled making sure they weren't overcrowded or people were waiting too long to get a chance at the games but they did a great job and I never felt like I had to wait (or wait too long) for a machine to be available. They have a large variety of games from more modern ones like Switchs in the back, older versions of Mario Kart, older games in general like Pac-Man and my personal favorite Burger Time. Loads of pinball machines too. The entire facility (and bathroom) were very clean and the ambient noise was never too loud and I never had to yell to talk to someone next to me. Some games will have slightly sticky or unresponsive switches but it's just what happens with the amount of people that use these machines. We had an issue with a pinball machine and they were very quick to come help fix it and immediately get us back to playing. Overall a solid experience, not what I'd actively look for myself, but would gladly go again if someone else wanted to.

They have food and the food is decent , pretty basic bar food but hits the spot. Their drinks are always good! They're made well and fast. Service is great. Overall , I love the Barcade. Will always come back.

Still have never actually eaten here... but I've been here enough to talk about it…read more First off, this place is BIG. Like actually big. Good for birthdays, group hangs, events, all that. You're not cramped in here fighting for space. Game-wise... don't come here expecting anything crazy. There's nothing super serious for hardcore gamers, no rare cabinets or anything you're gonna geek out over. It's more like solid, familiar stuff. That said, it does work really well as a date spot because there's a lot of co-op games, so you're not just standing there awkwardly -- you actually have something to do. Now the food... I still haven't gone deep into it, but the wing deal is actually a good deal for these times, which is rare. That alone makes it worth pulling up on a Tuesday. Menu is kinda big though, and anytime I see a big menu like that I start side-eyeing the kitchen a little bit... like yeah some of this gotta be frozen But overall? It's a good spot for wings and beer without spending Ye Rustic money. If you're trying to keep it chill and not blow your wallet, this is a solid move. Not a gamer spot, not a foodie spot... just a good hang.

I was disappointed to see record stores have dried up, but when I looked up comic book stores, this was near the top, and close to where I had lunch. Street parking is fairly easy, and I didn't realize that the first door I passed was another entrance to a café looking area. However, the main entrance was a visually impressive experience in its own right. Full of stimuli basically, that's assured at Revenge of... (the Nerds? Supes?). Love the name! In addition to comics and usual toys and nicknacks, I was delighted to find not one, but two areas devoted to pinball machines! Additionally, the interior design evokes lots of classic (e.g. Silver and Bronze Age) artwork. X-Men and Spider-Man definitely influenced the architectural approach. It's impressive and lends a fun vibe, as well as atmospheric lighting. Two café counters in different areas allow for drinks to be purchased, and lots of nooks and crannies have things ranging from vinyl records, board games, a discounted graphic novels area, as well as recent comic titles and weekly releases (typically on Wednesdays). The back issues are found in X shaped fixtures and spaced in a clever arrangement that simultaneously encourages and enhances browsing, and yet doesn't clutter the walking areas. I found several missing issues for my Conan the Barbarian run, and everything is bagged and boarded (archival terms), so that's good. I didn't explore the pinball machines as I was pressed for time, but I definitely see myself visiting when I'm nearby in the future.

The claws had good grips and not like the kind to lose its grip once you grab a hold of something. My 4-year old didn't really know how to do the claw machine so she was kind of helpless watching and being grumpy at the sidelines. The bigger kids both ended up trading up and getting 2 Pusheens (valued at $28-38 on Amazon) that they said is popular at school. My girls were so happy to get a free try when they ran out of credits. Jesse was super helpful to us and even helped us arrange the sushi and the hello kitty plushy so that we can reach our goals to trade. And when the dinosaur didn't count toward the 7, he let it slide and gave the Elsa figurine to my 4 year old (worth $15+ $5-10 for shipping i just checked) My bigger girls wanted to keep 2 of the plushies (the capybara purse and the bear) and not trade all 10, and he was able to make a deal and let them trade only 8. For parents who are curious, we spent $80, and ended getting 2 plushies and a toy worth about $75 retail plus 2 extra plushies, plus the thrill of winning :)
