We celebrated my son's 2nd birthday last September and everyone loved this hidden gem. Everything is clean and up and running. The staff is friendly and very helpful when it comes to time, we have the monthly membership and it's a total deal $39 a month for 3 months minimum (M-F 1hr) and we usually get 15 mins extra in each visit. Today we came in and noticed this gentleman,Suro, cleaning and making sure all the equipment is up and running, I've seen him multiple times, checking for safety and maintenance. I feel really comfortable leaving my kids in this playground. I am a fan of this place! Tip: You can bring your own grip socks or pay $5 for a pair. There is plenty of FREE parking.

While there, I observed a couple near the bungalows kissing and groping each other in a children's play area while their kids played nearby. What was most concerning was that staff did not appear to address the situation. I also noticed that many of the employees assigned to the play areas were sitting down and talking among themselves rather than actively monitoring the floor. As a parent, I did not feel comfortable having my children around that type of behavior in a family-oriented environment. Because of this experience, even though we are locals, we have chosen not to continue giving this business our support. I believe closer supervision and more attentive staff presence would help create a safer and more appropriate atmosphere for families. This was our experience and a reply/justification attempt will not change it.

We arrived 10 minutes early (per recommendation in the confirmation email) and checked-in via email. You can also check-in at the kiosks inside near the front, then sign waivers through the QR code. At their reservation time, the kids followed their host Sahil on over and were seated in front of their VR room (which was one of 4 rooms there). Sahil went over instructions of the game, demonstrations on how to apply the sensors on their wrists and ankles. Once inside the room, there were two people who assisted the kids with putting on their vests, head phones, VR googles, and weapons, and continued with providing instructions of the VR game and safety rules. (Note: there was an additional charge of $6.99/each to upgrade 2 weapons.) The adults were allowed to sit inside the room, on benches up against one of the walls. The room was big, clean, and well ventilated. The kids had a blast! After their game, the kids were directed outside to an area where they sat down, viewed their scores and a highlight video of their game! The links to the video were sent to the reserver's email to view as well! Let the staff know if you are celebrating a birthday for a bonus virtual birthday fun at the end of their VR game. We will definitely come back. Make reservations as place gets packed. Overall, staff were friendly and helpful. These are definitely fun experiences for both the kids and adults!

We went to Sandbox VR in Woodland Hills tonight at 9:10 PM to use a $330 credit we were given from…read morea previous visit because that experience was terrible, everything was broken and glitching. They acknowledged how bad it was at the time and issued us a credit. When we arrived tonight, we were told our credit had expired. That made no sense considering it was issued because of system failures on their end. After asking the employee to contact a manager, they said they would "honor" only half of the credit $165. I don't understand why only half, when the original experience was completely ruined due to their equipment not working. We paid the remaining balance and proceeded with our three booked games. From the moment we were assigned our VR host (Austin), it was clear he was frustrated and bothered. The first game wouldn't load properly and took a long time to get running. There were constant glitches, delays, and technical problems just like our last visit. Instead of being supportive or apologetic, the host kept making negative comments, complaining, and even using profanity under his breath. It made the whole experience uncomfortable. We weren't rude. We followed instructions. At one point I even told him, "We're not here to annoy you, we just want to have fun." He didn't respond. By 10:45 PM, over an hour and a half after arrival, we had only managed to complete ONE experience because of all the technical issues. When we asked about a refund for the two games we couldn't properly play, we were told they don't give refunds. The only option was to reschedule. There was no real apology for the inconvenience, no accountability for the repeated technical failures, and no effort to make the situation right beyond rescheduling. We were even told that the previous staff member "shouldn't have accepted" us for three games and that the host just wanted to go home. At this point, it feels like customers are inconveniencing the staff, not the other way around. We gave this place a second chance after a very bad first experience. Unfortunately, it was even more disappointing the second time. If you're thinking about spending your money here, I would strongly suggest thinking twice.

You were then led into the VR spaceship room, which was the most insane experience! The VR was done so well, and I really enjoyed the immersiveness and the storyline. I actually wish the entire thing could've been VR. I thought the excitement kind of dwindled in the room with the test tubes, and also when we had to go outside to the parking lot to the third section of the experience, which just wasn't as amazing as the beginning. Some points to improve would be a more cohesive storyline, and making a tunnel in the parking lot area so it doesn't break up the visuals. I love escape rooms and the last challenge was pretty elementary, so I can understand that for families but I personally would like a more challenging ending.

Our group arrived and we were welcomed by Aster and the creator of the Lunar Light Experience, granddaughter of Apollo 14 astronaut Stuart Roosa, Danielle Roosa. Meeting her and chatting about NASA and her grandfather (famous photo of astronauts playing golf on the moon) was the greatest welcome ever. The experience started with a walk to a moon vehicle where we strapped on some VR packs and proceeded to excavate moon rock for blue light from a meteor. After that we met a mad scientist and a lovely robot. Got to play in the lab. The escape room aspect of the event was simple and we got it done quite easily. I imagine this would be great for families with kids too. :) The end, of course, exits through the gift shop where you can get some super cool astronaut stuff. Even Apollo 14 shirts! I highly recommend you stop by and spend some time in the moon! Also, make sure you get your space photo op! I wore the right jacket for that. ;) Ps: Free parking!

We had my son's 11th birthday celebration here. 2 hours of unlimited play for 10 players (extra cost for additional players). 2 large tables. A huge birthday sign with my son's name on the big screen. A party host that will guide you and your party through party photos, birthday song and even 1 favorite song picked by the birthday celebrant for the cool lit dance floor. They also have an option for a loud confetti machine that goes off after the birthday song which is a great surprise for the kids. This is all coordinated with Sophie via email. Shout out to Sophie, who also was our party host! She's just as awesome as this place is! Planning was so easy because of her. Even the pre-party questionnaire thought of everything. You bring your own food/drinks for your guests (we opted for Costco finger foods to be easy). They supply paper plates, napkins, tongs and serving spoons. They also supply the 10 players cold drinks. Most importantly, they clean up after you. We currently have the X-pass (unlimited play) for both boys and are utilizing it to the fullest. We are here at least once a week for a few hours. We even take a break to bring in our lunch from Dilly's to eat at their large tables/benches. So convenient for wfh parents like me. I can connect to their guest WiFi and even plug my laptop on a nearby floor outlet. They have their own bathrooms. The entire place is big, well kept and clean. Lots of VR games to choose from. Additional games to choose from (not just VR). The equipment, chairs and benches are luxe and comfortable. The workers here are awesome, attentive and friendly. We love it here!

They also offer monthly passes for unlimited gaming. There are tournaments each month too! They have a dance floor area and comfy seating areas which are perfect if you're hosting a party. Their party package seems pretty popular especially for kids and is pretty reasonably priced at $600 but they don't offer food so you're going to need to bring in or order from nearby places which there are many more now in the mall. I've noticed they can be closed from time to time for private events so check their IG account for updates and they are good on posting those. If you're a newbie, the staff here are super helpful to get you up and going.
