Lots of great original retro machines here! It's definitely a great treasure to have around, but the experience itself would be so much better if they had a little more maintenance. So many of the cherry switches on joysticks and buttons should be replaced and things would feel so much more responsive while playing. The CRT screens could improve with a re-juvenator particularly in their MvC2 and CarnEvil machines. It was very refreshing to see that not one of the machines had a 20 in 1 or similar board and seemed to be using all original parts. Those boards have such poor emulation, introducing control delays and poor sound or visual issues. Making this location a great visit for the arcade enthusiast. I'm so tired of seeing those cheap boards in machines instead of the original board being repaired or unoriginal joysticks such as a HAPP joystick on Pac-Man, this should be a crime! They have a selection of some of my favorite games, some cool pin ball machines but it isn't the same nostalgic feeling when you're not throwing quarters in the machine. When it's 15 an hour and free play. The thrill of getting the high score on pinball or the match for a free game is taken away. The incentive for being really good is gone. Kids (3 and 6 years old) had so much fun! Super accessible and accomodating cute retro arcade. They have a ton of step stools, and barstools, so your little ones can see, or people in general can sit. It was $15/hr for kids over 5 and adults. Free for our 3 year old. Yay. And they gave the kids stickers. My daughter was nervous about games. She's not a fan of losing, but we let her know she had unlimited plays for an hour, so she could lose all she wanted. She had so much fun. I think her favorites were Mario Kart and Smash Bros. She also tried out the shooting game, the pinball machine, Golden Axe, Soul Caliber, Street Fighter, and some crazy 4 player Pac Man. Not a bad variety. Kept the kids entertained for the whole hour. Parking was a little tough, but we found a meter a block away. Managed to get rid of some nickels and dimes that were weighing us down. In the back they also have newer game systems for kids too. To enjoy unlimited access to all of the arcade games you pay a fee of $15 upon entrance. The associate will give you a wristband and note when your hour of play time is up. The demographics of people was mostly young adults and a few middle aged people. There weren't too many kids. It's not the biggest space so if you don't like crowded spaces I wouldn't recommend it unless you going during a non peak hour. This is the perfect spot to go with another person because many of the games can have 2 players. Parking is not easy around here. Chances are you won't find curbside parking so it's best to park in the structure nearby for 90 minutes of free parking. read more

Once you walk in you can either pay $15 for one hour of free play or $25 for the full day of free play on all the games. It wasn't as large as we thought it was going to be when we walked in, but they did have a variety of games to play. They had a variety of pinball, siding, driving games for everyone in the family to play. I came with a group of for young adults, so it was interesting to see what they have to offer. They also have bathrooms in the back for you to use. Additionally they also had switch, Mario kart, and smash brothers games in the back on the TVs as well. A cool little arcade gem in old Town Pasadena, this place has a great selection of games from Street Fighter II to Pac Man and some current games on Nintendo switch like Mario kart 8. We have been a few times but visited again today since we don't live in the area anymore and the price has gone up. It's $15 per person for an hour and they give you wristbands to keep track of your exit time. We played several games and they are all free play mode so it's easy to go from game to game. The only downside is that the switch games had controllers like the GameCube but they were also a little broken with drifting joysticks and sticky buttons. Understandable since so many people use them but they definitely need to be replaced to work properly. Fantastic spot to hang with friends or take a date to. It's $15 for an hour and you get free access to all the retro games, pinball machines, and the game system in the back is loaded with Smash bros. There's a parking lot around the corner that is around $4 per hour. You are allowed to bring drinks in but you can't put them on the arcade machines. Fair enough as liquid can damage and wear out the machines. I put mine on the ground and it was fine. Games we tried or noticed: They have the fighting classics like Street fighter, Snk vs Capcom 2, the owner's choice Darkstalkers (awesome!), etc. For puzzles, they had an extremely old school Tetris game and Bubble Bobble. Shooters: Police Trainer, Point Blank, CarnEvil Retro: Q-bert, BurgerTime, Donkey Kong, (pseudo retro style) Fix- it Felix!, Tempest, a ton more I can't remember. We also played the 4 way competitive Pacman in the bar style cabinet. Unfortunately, the owner uses an 8-way gate instead of a 4-way on the joysticks making it very difficult to control pacman... They really should change it out. Now for the negatives: CarnEvil has an extremely dark screen where you can't see the monsters and what's worse is when you shoot, the screen flashes white. It was incredibly seizure inducing! Either the screen needs to be changed out or the game needs an epilepsy warning. The guns were not calibrated on Police Trainer at all. I tested it by not moving my position and the 4 times I shot, it registered in 4 different directions...??? This made it difficult to complete the program, especially the dynamite one. Aside from these problems, I definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area. read more

We celebrated a birthday here and it was truly awesome! We ended up with a couple more people in our party. The staff handled it all well and made sure our family and friends had the best experience. Considering the amount of people that come in and out throughout the day, the place and games are kept really clean. My brothers were transported back to their Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat and PAC Man days at the bowling alley. Galaga and Qbert were my personal favorites. Not having to deal with quarters or tokens allowed the kids to try out almost all the games, until settling into their favorites. It wore them out! We visited a location in the valley at one time, but I believe that closed. I hope the community continues to support this small business. I had passed by this place in Old Town numerous times before finally experiencing it with my out-of-town friends. There are 2 options here -- $15 for 1 hr or $25 all day. We opted for 1 hr since it was already later at night. They gave us some wristbands with the time to exit and then set us free. I loved the vintage games of my childhood and got to play the ones that I never had! There are also Wii games, pinball machines and newer games also. We enjoyed group Pac-man and racing against each other in Mario Kart. Overall, we had a great time here and I'd love to go back. Okay, I wanna start by saying I NEVER leave reviews but I absolutely had to leave one for Neon Retro!! Started coming here with my son a few months ago when I saw an ad on Facebook for this place. I came in expecting it to be like your average Dave and Busters type arcade. I was so wrong!!! There's no quarters or game play cards. It's all admission based! Which I loved! It seems very cost efficient commpared to other arcades. Their game selection is magnificent, they even had a pulp fiction pinball that I played and was so fun! They have TVs in the back with I believe Nintendo switches, which my son plays most of the time. Bonus points for the arcade being clean as well! I've been to so many arcades that seem pretty gross with trash littered on the floor and sticky game planes but not this place. A worker was even dusting the tops of games when we walked in. It's very refereeing to see an establishment take pride in a clean environment for their customers! Also shout out to the Staff here! They give excellent customer service and are always so friendly! There's a young lady, I believe her name is Leanne, I've chatted with her a few times and she's a doll! She's given me tips on some good food and boba spots that's in the area! She's also very well mannered, which sadly, now a days is very rare to come by in many retail stores. So A+ for her! All in all this place is a 10/10! I definitely recommend coming on a weekday since it's a lot calmer than the weekends.
