On a Tuesday night in Mid March, I came here for company team building after work. It was my first time here and not busy at 5pm. There are games, bar, sitting area, and bowling lanes with video screens while bowling. The bartender makes a decent drink and got our shoes size at the counter near entrance. The special room that was booked has its own bar and 6 lanes. Our company ordered pizzas, quesadillas, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks. Surprise, the food taste really good. The service staff kept water jugs refilled. It was fun bowling. By 7pm, the place was busy on a Tuesday night. read more

Terrible experience. I NEVER leave yelp reviews but our experience here was so bad that I had to say something. There were 5 times in which I had to go back to the front desk either due to a technical issue or a problem in which they messed up on their end. We purchased 2 lanes for 9 people (5 people in one lane and 4 in the other) including shoe rentals. Each lane was supposed to play two games. 1) The first time we had a problem we were loading our players names to bowl and in one lane the screen turned black and in the other it froze. We also noticed there was an extra slot for a person to bowl making it 10, not the 9 that we asked for. But, we just ignored the slot. We went up to the front desk and they ended up moving us to two different lanes. 2) Then, after we switched in the middle of one of our games it abruptly stopped. The screen prompted us to start a new game by contacting the control desk. Which didn't make sense because we payed for two games in each lane. They ended up resetting our game which caused us to lose all our progress. 3) The same to thing in which happened in problem #2 happened but this time in our second lane. This time they didn't reset it but it continued the game. Now my two lanes were not synced in sense of timing. They ended up explaining to us that it was due to an input error. The worker inputed the information wrong so we played one game between two lanes but, still payed for two games per lane. It didn't make sense. 4) After looking at our receipt we noticed the extra charge of an extra person to play a game. By themselves? It didn't make sense because we had 9 shoe rentals and wanted two games so it should've been 18 games total. But, we were charged 19. 5) Randomly during our second game it began skipping members of my party so they were not able to play their turn. But the other half of the people in the lane were able to play. We finally end up going to the front desk to discuss (with who I believe was the manager) as to why it was skipped and politely asked if we could be compensated for the second game due to the continuous inconveniences. However, before reasoning or hearing us out she abruptly told us that she administered a refund. Which initially we were glad to hear just to later understand that it would cut off our second game. We will NOT be coming back. The staff is extremely unprofessional and the systems are very glitchy. Beware coming here. I provided images of problems #2-5. I wish I would've gotten a picture of #1 but I didn't know we're gonna have so many issues. If I could leave 0 stars I would. read more

Racist ? Yes ! Discrimination to disabilities? Yes Mark and Olga to be exact. Myself with two friends came in after eating sushi. Mark came over to our group to ask if we were "Ok to drink and did not feel comfortable serving us " even though none of us had even one sip of alcohol. I was with not white people to say nicely .. which I heard the comments from them... and me.. who is autistic .. and comments about me. They embarrassed me and my friends. Disgusting behavior!!! We reserved this place for a large party for 2 hours with unlimited bowling and ayce eat pizza, chicken tenders and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. It is a pretty cool place with an arcade, pool tables, and a bar. It has movies playing on the screens and has night club vibes. Why the 4 stars? I didn't dig the food so much and there were multiple lanes with issues that interrupted our games. It got so bad that a few of our lanes had to be switched to different lanes on the other side of the building so it kinda defeated the purpose of reserving the lanes together. We had to keep resetting our lane as well and messed up the scoring a few games. If the food was better and the games didn't get interrupted with technical issues, it would definitely be 5 stars. read more

I'm a premium season pass holder and have been to all the locations in SoCal without any problems. I called today (Saturday) at 3:20 pm to enter the waitlist for this location and they input me. Once I got there at about 3:30, I still had to wait so I played arcade games. Eventually, I received a text notification right at 4 pm so I walked up to the front desk and asked to get my season pass scanned for our daily 2 free games. The employee said that it's not possible anymore since it's passed 4 pm and it's a rule for the season pass. I explained that we've been waiting for a long time and the least they could do is honor my two free games. He brought his manager (old caucasian male) and the manager didn't even tell me a word. He just stared blank at me and then disregarded me. I understand there's rules, but the least they can do is try to honor it or at least apologize. Horrible service seems like a repeated pattern at this location based on other reviews. I would not recommend this location at all. Arcadia is way better. read more

We went to bolero for my sons 18th birthday. He really wanted to play pool. We ordered half the menu (not kidding) and was pleasantly pleased with the pizza and appetizers. My boys got wraps and burgers. And we even ordered dessert first. A fresh baked cookie and brownie topped with ice cream and milk shakes all around. My family played pool for hours and my little guy had fun at the arcade playing table hockey. They don't have as many arcade games as a larger place like Dave and busters but they have a decent selection for young kids and the row pool tables with full bowling alley. My family had a great time. The waitress Katherine was very accommodating making sure we were satisfied and had what we needed. They also have a decent bar with great margaritas folks. The heart throb margarita was a personal favorite. Wasn't too crowded on a Sunday and have to say we will visit again. Maybe bowl the next time around. Thank you bolero for a nice time making my son's 18th birthday fun. We drove in cross country that morning from Kentucky with little sleep and nothing planned for his 18th (since we were not sure if we would be back in time to be with his dad and brothers) so for a last minute thing on 4 hours sleep and 44 hours of driving, Kathrine made sure our night was a success!!! read more

Was told it would be less than a 1 hour wait....ok great we can play games and then go bowling, so decided to get on the list ..... 2 hours later I checked in and they told us maybe we should go to the Arcadia store. We did my son's 5th birthday here and the event specialist was so nice along with the staff that assisted throughout the event. They also offer arcade cards and food in their event bundles which was perfect for those littles that didn't want to just bowl. the set up was also so beautiful they had my sons name in big lite up letters and all the food and drinks were set up on a table in-front of the lane which made it so accessible for us all. This place has seen a lot of changes over the years. It was GREAT when it was Bahama Lanes. It was terrible when it was Bowlmor. I think the Bowlero that it is now is some happy medium between the previous two. The lanes are greatly improved over Bowlmor, it feels a lot cleaner. It's still the trendy blacklight bowling stuff, so don't come here expecting traditional lanes, but they do maintain them much better than before. The bar/food service could use a huge improvement, still a very difficult task to order anything from your lanes in a timely manner, even when its not very packed. This one is much better than Arcadia though! read more

I asker her if she had a napkin and her response was asking if I am with a party. Why does that matter? I asked for a napkin. We had our kid's birthday party there and it was a hit. The kids loved it. The parents loved it. People kept thanking US...but we didn't have to do any work aside from paying Bowlero and inviting guests. The space is lovely and makes for great photos. It's also great in real life. We were fortunate to be on the end, on lanes 9 and 10, near the cozy couch and TV-fireplace (where the kids enjoyed watching Home Alone with the sound off while they ate pizza or chilled out.) The staff was helpful and accommodating to the millions of questions and requests we had for the bumpers to be on...no off...no now they want them on...ok, just these kids want bumpers. We had bowling, pizza, chicken fingers, tots and fruit. Service was fast, helpful and preemptive. I don't think we had to ask for anything to be replenished. The pacing was terrific. Right at the end of our 2 hours of bowling, they put out the cookie cakes (you can bring your own cake/cupcakes...or Randy's Donuts with a candle in it, in our case) and handed out arcade cards. The kids all got $10, and $15 for the Birthday Boy...and OF COURSE most of the kids asked for more. No surprise there. Tip: Our party was booked for 4, which was also their opening time. You can get there a little early. We were early by 30 minutes, I don't know if there's an official "doors" time, but they were open, welcomed us in and showed us to our spot so bowling could start right on time. On a Monday, we weren't rushed out but I'd imagine on a crowded weekend, you might have to I think we maybe could have used one more lane to spread out the madness. We booked it for 12 kids and added a 13th, so the lanes were a little crowded but a lot of that was due to the kids' enthusiasm for being close to the action. Nathan, our server, and Mark, the manager, were super helpful in getting us set up, ensuring we had food delivered in a timely way, and supporting our guests. Thought it was a good deal with the arcade cards for the kids and the parents enjoyed the flexibility of the space with the pool tables, bar, and seating areas We booked on a Sunday late morning and it was not too packed so we had a nice space to ourselves. First timer here. I highly recommend hosting your birthday parties at Bowlero if you don't want the headache of doing everything yourself. I finally got to participate in and truly be "present" at the party for once. From the beginning, they greeted us in a friendly, chill and professional manner. I was worried about the "no outside food" policy but they are apparently cool with you bringing in a birthday cake. They offered to refrigerate it for me until we needed it -- noice! I apologize as I've forgotten the names of the young folks at the front and our party manager/host who took care of us and checked in with us at several intervals to make sure everything was running smoothly. They were prompt with bringing out the hot food and drinks based on the timing we requested once we arrived. They came over to our lanes to check when we wanted to cut the cake. When it was time, they brought it out and had the extra plates, forks and a lighter (as requested). There were 11 of us and even though there was a way bigger party in the private room behind our lanes, we still felt like VIPs. The decor: We were greeted by Broadway-esque marquee letters in the name of the birthday person. There were two stations: drinks and food right behind our lanes. A+ customer service! I like to think I have high standards and they totally met it and deserve the 5 stars. Oh, by the way, the place is pretty fancy and high-tech (if you can't tell already) with music videos and sports playing in big screens across the wall towards the back. The place has an upscale clubby vibe but very family friendly at the same time. If you haven't been bowling in years (like myself), just know you'll feel pampered. We decided to get bumpers as some of the folks in our party were younger teens. They had these go-go-gadget bumpers that just come up from the floor. I apparently have been hiding under a rock. When did they start doing that?? We had cheese pizza, chicken tenders, fries and fountain drinks, which also include lemonade or just water. The chicken was crispy and meaty and not bad. I didn't try the cheese pizza but the other guests seemed to like it. Our server packed up the leftover food for us, too. I would also like to thank Shannon, who I booked the party with over the phone and walked me through the process, so to speak. We had some last-minute RSVPs and I was worried about how that would work but it was no big deal as the staff would just put it on my tab, LOL. Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. The place was great, we had fun. But the bartender working Friday night was awful. She had long dirty blonde hair and was not friendly at all and passed us up when we've been waiting to order our drink. She would help other specific types of ppl first and make us wait. Even when we've already been waiting. She even told us to hold on, so she could clean her area and do something in the back. Mind you, the bar was not busy at all. It was some bs. I'm so disappointed in the Pasadena facility now. My friends and I have been coming here for years and years. I live in Glendale so I could easily go to Jewel City because it is two minutes away from my house, but we choose to go to Bowlero in Pasadena because we like the atmosphere and the food is decent, but in the past eight months or so, I would say this place has really taken a nose dive. The restroom was disgusting. It looks like nobody has cleaned it the whole day. The lanes kept on malfunctioning multiple times we have been there. The wait times are longer because half the lanes were out of service due to not having a mechanic on staff. I don't know what corporate did to this place but it's definitely not an improvement. We might have to start going back to jewel city. read more

This place should not be considered a Bowling alley. We bowl in a sanctioned league where we pay more than we should for a bowling alley that has problems every week with lanes breaking down. I don't think they care what conditions the lanes are as long as they make their money. If you are a true bowler then this is not the place to go. Eventually most of the league's will leave because the conditions of the lanes are not worth the time or money to bowl there unfortunately. read more

came here around 9pm friday night, understandably busier than most days but, you have 5 staff members walking around acting like they're doing something, "serving people" although it's blatantly obvious and one cashier checking people out... there's a check in & check out sign for pretty obvious reasons & yet you have ONE person trying to the work for everyone. it's not her fault everything was extremely mediocre. and to top it off i ordered myself a drink through the qr code to avoid any issues with waiting, not only did the server take it to the wrong lane but, she has another male server with her who pressed my boyfriend for an id for MY drink. i placed the order for MYSELF and showed my ID. get it right considering how much ya'll charge. read more

Bowlero has separated itself from the old-school bowling alleys by realizing that for many, bowling is simply a medium for hanging out. So on top of bowling, here you'll find stylish decor, modern music, arcade games, pool tables, food, and a full bar. There's also a VIP room with its own lanes for private parties. The bowling lanes and equipment seem to be maintained reasonably well, though in one of our frames, a pin fell out of the pinsetter during racking (it happens). We came during regular hours and prices weren't exactly cheap, but we're in a period of inflation and the cost of living is relatively high in Pasadena, so yeah. On the upside, this place does have bowling specials Sunday and Monday evenings. Now I need to work on my bowling skills so that I stop making a fool of myself, but that's another story. read more

This is a really beautiful bowling alley! Service was great and staff was knowledgeable about Groupon redemption process. We got a lane right away with no wait time. The only thing I'm not happy about is the automatic service charge they attach to all the checks, but I guess everyone is trying to make their money somehow! I would definitely be back, though. They also have an arcade featuring popular games, pool tables, ping pong table, and a foosball table. The rates are expensive but worth it especially when you are playing with your friends and having fun! I have hosted two events here and everyone had a great time.
