If you're looking for a really good açaí bowl, North Augusta has one of the best places I've been to in awhile. In comparison to other açaí bowl stores, not only do you get a good amount of the base you select compared to the toppings, but it doesn't have any frozen bits that you taste sometimes in other bowls. As much as I enjoy protein supplements, the protein add-on was very strong. I unfortunately did not taste much açaí with that add-on. Happy for those who enjoy it, but I don't see myself trying it again. But I will happily keep coming back because of price. $13.50 for a 16oz is a very good price for that size and less than a lot of other stores. For my allergen folks, they do a pretty good job in looking out for allergies. Not only did they ask about it every time I ordered, but it's the first they asked on their app when ordering after selecting bowl size. Overall, it's just really good! Stopped by here after visiting Fleet Feet. They had a seasonal menu so we tried the Jingleberry smoothie and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. Jingleberry has chia seeds at the bottom so if you don't like that texture then I suggest you try something else. I don't mind it and felt very healthy drinking it. Light smoothie with good flavors and good afternoon pick-me-up. The hot chocolate was very good. I like the flavor but may be too sweet for some people. It doesn't taste like powder packets for sure! We also tried the avocado toast and the guacamole and tomatoes were fresh. Lime on the side adds a nice tang on the top. There is everything bagel seasoning on top and it was perfection after I hadded a dash of salt. Staff was friendly and asked if we had any allergies. Place was neat, organized, and clean. Modern look and I could see myself enjoying a bowl of acai next time. Will be back to try the other toasts they have too - want to try one with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas! One suggestion my husband had was that he didn't know what some of the ingredients were...maybe a pamphlet or even a screen introducing some of these lesser known fruits/ingredients as well as their health benefits to newbies would help them decide if they want to try it. read more

In an area of active construction, this acai bowl place brings a new vibe to a waterfront area surprisingly light on businesses. The place is close to vegan, with some honey involved, and has a range of solid food and drinks in addition to the bowls. While customization was available, I was tempted by a seasonal bowl. A reasonable person might think that putting pumpkin mousse and apples on top of an acai bowl would produce some suboptimal clash of flavors. This was certainly not the case, and the flavor mix was delightful from beginning to end. A protein add-in helped keep me going for the day. Don't go if you are going interested in smoothies. I did not taste the bowls.. Every smoothie has almond milk in it. We ordered three different types and they were all pretty bad. Fruit flavor does not stand out. Best smoothies seem to be any that may mix well with milk like cinnamon, peanut butter, or chocolate...other than that I would not return. There are a few things that make me fall in love with a business. Two beings; a great tagline and confidence in your identity. Bowl Boss (newly opened in North Augusta) exemplifies these two quite well. You'll see the tagline on the wall (in hot pink neon!) and on the back of every team members shirt, "grab life by the bowls." And they know who they are. Bright art work on the walls, light teal paint, and a menu that mesmerizes. This is their first location in South Carolina and they made sure to impress out the gate. The location is perfect, the team are super friendly, and the smoothie I ordered (Pure Energy) was spot on. I also like that they have partnered with Buona Caffe (a local roaster) for their espresso beans. I look forward to returning often so that I can try all they have to offer.
