There was plenty of room, even though there shouldn't have been because it was DELICIOUS. We had a birthday girl in our party, and when we arrived there was a card waiting for her signed by all the employees. They clearly have these on hand, but it's such a lovely touch and immediately makes you feel special. Now, Jessica. She is the best. She was our server and perhaps part psychic. My typical hungover self couldn't decide whether to be healthy or greasy, so yes, I got the veggie sandwich with bacon and French fries. And yes, it was delicious. The fries are clearly homemade and were yummy, BUT my friend's breakfast potatoes were superior, and I was delighted her hungover self couldn't get them all down because I got some. Our party got the breakfast burrito, shrimp and grits, fish sandwich, and one of the salads. EVERYONE was happy. Mostly because every time we looked up, Jessica was asking if we needed something. And we did. We needed mimosas and stouts and oh so much water. I promise the food and service were actually great and it's not just because we so desperately needed all the deliciousness they had to offer. Special mention to Hannah, who wasn't even there but had fantastic birthday card confidence. 10/10 hangover cure. Would absolutely return, hopefully under less dehydrated circumstances.

I had the lavender which was great (tastes more like gin) and my partner got the key lime (more vanilla flavor than anything). Every dish sounds like it might not quite work and then it just does. Each pairing is unique but so intentional. You MUST try the pineapple sandwich. Like that doesn't even make sense written but it is such a treat. I was also a huge fan of the mushrooms in foil paired with the grilled bread and pickle butter. Menu changes I believe seasonally so always a new reason to go. Service was fantastic and the waiter was very honest about his faves on the menu which I appreciated. It's not huge so be sure to make a reservation. There's a great outdoor back bar as well.

The steak was excellent but very small. We did not care much for the baked Alaska because it had mint chocolate chip ice cream in it. Was not what the online menu advertised. The bok choy salad was also nice. It's served cold but you can taste that it was grilled. We thought the fried sandwich was okay as well, not our favorite but comes covered in manchego cheese. Get a glass of the orange wine! It was an experience as they will bring each plate out individually! For 5 plates plus dessert the bill came out to be 100$. We were pretty full after but it is a small plates restaurant. Best for sharing.

I sat at the bar and ordered right away, and they were able to bring my lunch in plenty of time for me to eat and get on my way. The server/bartender was friendly and efficient. The place is big and airy and there were many folks having lunch together. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich and fries. OMG the fries were so good! The chicken was dry and thin, which was disappointing, but the ingredients worked well together and had some heat for sure. I am looking forward to returning to dry more of the menu. I would give 3.5 stars if I could instead of 4 because of the chicken breast.

I called ahead and the lady that took my order was really kind. She said it would be ready in 15 mins and when I arrived it was already ready. I love their options for happy hour. I ordered the chuck yeah and it was ok, I would have preferred more seasoning in the batter for the chicken but the chicken was nice and crispy. The Kool aid pickles was a different flavor. I'll definitely come back and try something new.

If you prefer a quieter setting, then eating in the bar is your best bet because the dining rooms do get loud. We started with the east/west coast oysters and they were so fresh. The passion fruit mignonette was the perfect compliment. I kept scooping out tiny spoonfuls and drinking it after we finished the oysters. The Fluke Crudo was fantastic. The combo of flavors and textures was a delight for the palate. The scallops over the miso leek risotto was one of the best scallop dishes we have ever eaten. The scallops were huge and cooked perfectly and there were plenty of pieces of leek in a lovely, smooth risotto. We're not a fan of hijiki, so the chef prepared the risotto without it - Thanks Chef Jose! And you would think chicken schnitzel would be basic, but not this dish. The chicken was so moist, perfectly seasoned, and pan fried in butter. We asked for the sauce on the side because we knew we wouldn't finish the big piece and wanted to heat it up later and still be crispy (which we did). We were amazed that eating the chicken, almond, asparagus, and some sauce in one bite, was SO good. The best two meals we have had in Cincinnati so far in 2026 have been here, and Mita's. Chef Jose is a real talent.

Loved seeing some menu throwbacks to the previous restaurant. The rigatoni, beets, bread service, squash & fish were all delicious. We only had two sour notes all night - celebrating a birthday (directly told our server when she asked), and no birthday dessert was offered. Normally wouldn't expect that, but TWO tables next to us got a cake slice with a candle. It felt a bit rude to have our special night missed when others were acknowledged. Our table ended up ordering the chocolate cremeux which had the worst, over-smoked ice cream flavor any of us ever experienced -- mother of god. Not sure why that exists.

We had room for dessert as well: crème brûlée and a decadent chocolate dessert. Perfect! Our server was excellent. We made reservations through Open Table and were glad we did - some folks without reservations couldn't be accommodated inside (but could sit at bar or outside -- which would be nice if it weren't so hot and humid the day we visited). We had a great table at the front. Plenty of street parking - we parked right along side the restaurant. This is definitely on our list of favorites.

From the moment I sat down at the bar, owner Matt and the bartenders made me feel genuinely welcome. They took the time to learn my name, offer recommendations, and check in throughout the evening without ever being overbearing. It's a rare gift to make a solo guest feel seen while still giving them space to enjoy their own company. The food was outstanding. I ordered the baked brie with the honeycomb (trust me, get the honeycomb) and every bite was delicious. The combination of warm brie, puff pastry, honey, and nuts was incredible. Matt's wine recommendation was equally spot on. What impressed me most, though, was the atmosphere. Ripple strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and comfortable. Whether you're on a date, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a quiet evening alone, you'll feel right at home. I arrived as a first-time guest and left feeling like a regular. Covington is lucky to have this place. I'll definitely be back.
