This place looks right out of the fairytale with all of the plants. The food was delicious. Great place for our first date or to grab a cocktail. Great sport for a coffee and plant date or special outing. The service was superintendent even though we showed up about 20 minutes ago for the reservation. We were seated right away

While visiting the Auburn/Opelika area we decided to try Botanic, and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences of the trip. The restaurant itself has such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It feels cozy and relaxed but still elevated, with a garden-inspired vibe that makes the space feel unique and comfortable at the same time. The food was beautifully plated and full of flavor. One of my favorite dishes were the Brussels sprouts -- they were perfectly roasted, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. It's one of those simple dishes that's easy to get wrong but they absolutely nailed it. The steak served over risotto was another standout. The steak was cooked nicely and the risotto was rich and creamy, making the whole dish feel comforting while still refined. We also had a fried dish served with vegetables and a smooth puree that balanced everything really well. Each plate looked thoughtful and well executed. The cocktails were also great, and the one we ordered came garnished with a flower and fresh herbs which matched the whole garden theme of the restaurant perfectly. But what really made this experience special was our server, Jordan. She was absolutely amazing -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel comfortable the entire time and really elevated the whole experience. Service like that makes a huge difference and Jordan definitely stood out. Overall the combination of great food, beautiful presentation, a welcoming atmosphere, and standout service made this a place I would absolutely come back to. If you're in the Auburn or Opelika area, Botanic is definitely worth the visit.

This amazing gem of a place is one that you must go to when in the Auburn/Opelika area! The setting is amazing and the food is just as great! We drove down for lunch with friends and in the midst of catching up I didn't get food photos. Everything was AMAZING! I had a smash burger that was the best I've ever had. My side was fries which were, just fries. The menu is vast and has something for everyone. The dessert options are phenomenal and delicious! We had a ginger bread cheesecake and lemon blueberry cheesecake for the table and both were wonderful! They also have a market that sells desserts, take and bake meals, novelty items and some of their sauces like an amazing bacon Jam!! If you're looking for a great experience, beautiful environment and amazing food, go to Botanic!!

This place is so beautiful. They have a coffee shop that serves pastries, breakfast sandwiches and crepes. They also have two other options to dine for lunch and dinner. You can also enjoy the shop in the back and the nursery. You can spend hours at this place.

If you're looking for a unique and beautiful restaurant, this is it! The lush plants and greenery throughout the space are absolutely stunning and create such a fun and memorable atmosphere. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are thoughtfully designed and make for a truly special dining experience. The food has been incredible every time I've visited, and last night was no exception. We started with the table bread and the massive charcuterie board--both delicious--and paired them with some fun cocktails that were refreshing and flavorful. For entrées, I had the pork chop, which was perfectly cooked and served with a mix of delicious vegetables. Others in our group had the snapper (also excellent) and the filet, which was incredibly tender. One of my favorite details? The serveware. Every dish comes out on the most beautiful plates and platters--it really adds to the whole experience. Service is always top tier. Every server we've had has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

The customer service was definitely approved this time. We were not interrupted or asked to leave. Our server Jack did an amazing job. He was able to answer questions that we asked about the menu. The cocktails were good and the food was delicious. It took about 20 minutes for us to receive our food which wasn't bad. We sat in the garden which was beautiful. When in Opelika/Auburn this is a MUST DO! So. Much. Whimsy. The outside- stunning. Tons of fresh produce from local farmers. The inside you ask? Like the outside but somehow even more gorgeous. Part of the inside is like a greenhouse, but, here's the catch, you can EAT inside said greenhouse. I felt like I was dining in a magical fairy garden. I was in awe. Let's talk food. The Botanic offers 3 different dining options: the grille, the garden (lunch only), and the market (cafe). We came here to grab a quick bite from the market. I got a blueberry scone and a sugar free caramel latte. The latte was perfect! I asked if they'd warm the scone up but I don't think they did. Either way, the scone was pretty good! My friend got the cinnamon roll. My post-bite consensus made me wonder if the cinnamon roll was a day old. It was a tad bit dry but it still held some flavor. Overall, the food was good but the real show stopper is the atmosphere. They also host private events and have a large selection of plants to buy!

The next stop on our whirlwind Visit The Family US Tour 2024 is Opelika, AL and a visit to Botanic Greenhouse and Restaurant (@shop.botanic). This place is fantastic. The entire dining area is in a kind of open-air greenhouse style set up. There's gorgeous plants and trees everywhere. Ample dining areas for a quiet date night or for a large group. I took a lap around the dining area because there was so much to look at. We stopped in for a light lunch. We started with the house-made pimento cheese, a Southern staple. It's served with house-made tortilla chips, bacon jam, and few slices of @wicklespickles. I took a chip, spread on some of the pimento cheese and topped it with some bacon jam; that right there is one delicious bite. For the mains, I got the Grown-up Grilled Cheese made with @sweetgrassdairy Georgia Gouda cheese, fig jam, apple, and bacon between two toasted slices of sourdough bread. This was a perfect grilled cheese. Salty, sweet, and perfectly toasted. Crispy on every bite. I also got a side of their soup of the day: chicken and wild rice. It was perfect on this drizzly day. Botanic is a fantastic place and I love that it seems to be thriving. Opelika and Auburn are such underrated foodie towns, but I'm glad people are starting to notice. Definitely go check it out!

Absolute hidden gem near Auburn! My mom found this spot on TikTok and it is fantastic. The garden and grounds are beautiful, the storefront has great products, and the coffee is the strongest (and best) I've had in Alabama. I recommend the cinnamon roll and the pigs in a blanket with conecuh sausage - delicious!

I don't normally give a 5 star review on my first visit. I'll be taking our two daughters and their dad soon to experience Botanic. It's one of those destinations bucket places. I was traveling home from Georgia and decided to take the less traveled path, to avoid Atlanta and Talladega, (it was race weekend). Yes Auburn had a home game but it's was a late start. So I gave it the old college try. The place was packed, all reservations taken, the bar I asked ? they have 3 I think, was open. Service was excellent and above what you would expected on a home game afternoon. If you like dining in a plant paradise you have found the place. House Butter Lettuce: second best salad I've ever had and first for size and selection. It was lite and filling the combination of ingredients, played on one another, a playground in your mouth without the sand. I recommend reservations for Dinner and Lunch on game days. Yum Yum experience.

Fantastic experience! Food was amazing, grilled oysters were to die for. Wife had the Salmon with dill sauce over a bed of rice. The dill sauce was not over powering and offered a great addition to the entree. I had the red snapper which was grilled to perfection! Our waiter, Ty, was fantastic. Very attentive and offered good conversation and guidance through the menu and drink offerings. Our menus were even personalized for my wife's birthday. The ambiance was fantastic. We had a view of the pond, but the garden area was super nice. We stayed outside waiting for our table to get ready while live music was playing. read more

What an unexpected treasure!! Founded by the creator of. Chicken Salad Chick, this restaurant looks like it came out of a dream! This is what you would want your mountain cabin to look like, but better. We flew over for brunch on a Sunday. There was no wait. The buffet style brunch is fresh, hot, and delicious. Tons of fresh baked pastries. All the usual eggs. Thick sliced crispy bacon. You can get custom omelettes, which we did! Desserts are numerous and delicious. We are weekend flyers, and this is our number one destination now for brunch/lunch. You will not be disappointed. read more

Botanic is breathtaking from the moment you walk in. The menus even had a "Welcome (Name) Party" printed on them. The homemade break and butter samplings were delish. I had the filet mignon and it was delicious. The only hiccup was. The overcooked chicken on my friend's salad. They brought her another piece but not another salad. So she ate the salad while waiting for the fresh chicken then a solo chicken breast arrived. That was odd. But the fresh chicken was good, she said. read more

I have been to Napa Valley and the best fine dining restaurants all over California and Las Vegas but this is the best and most interesting place I have ever stepped foot in. Everything else pales in comparison. From the brioche bread you get to crab and corn fritters. Our Server Ty was phenomenal and the assistant manager Kennedy was fantastic. The ambiance is incredible with a room with over 1000 live plants and a gift shop area that offers fresh vegetables from the green house and gardens I love this place and I will fly to Alabama just to come back. read more

I was in town for a play with my daughter, her date and 2 friends and we went for our first time. Excellent service by our delightful server, Katie M. Food and drinks were outstanding. Beautiful atmosphere and the Manager (sorry I can't remember his name) was so much fun and very attentive. I cannot say enough good things about this place and will definitely be back. This is a special place. To have a restaurant such as this in your local area truly is a treat! There is a delightful atmosphere created by the abundant floral arrangements across the property. The breakfast, dinner, and breakfast bar are all wonderful. The breakfast bar is a less expensive option, but do not let that make you think you are missing out on quality. Everything that I have ordered there has been amazing. Fruit tarts, breakfast casserole, and lemon bars are phenomenal. The regular breakfast and dinner options have so many exceptional options to choose from! The servers are all wonderful and check on you frequently. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Auburn-Opelika area, as well as others who are enjoyers of fine dining that may live elsewhere. This restaurant is definitely worth to go out of your way for. read more

One of the best restaurants in town. I have been here with my wife several times. The ribeye and the filet are our favorites so far. Any special they run is always great as well. I would recommend staying away from the fish- we tried the snapper and the salmon, neither had the quality of freshness we are used to. The service is always really great. And the dinning room is absolutely gorgeous. It is the most beautiful restaurant in the twin city area by far. Will continue to come here and can't wait to experience The Garden! read more

Wow, this place is amazing! The atmosphere is completely different from any restaurants/bars around. The Bourbon Room is like a cocktail library, all leather and exposed brick, with the bartenders take on classic mixed cocktails... Phenomenal! The gardens, greenhouse, and courtyards are beautiful! And you can purchase plants while you're there! The dining area has an eclectic antique charm, that you can't find anywhere else. And the food is generally top notch (I was disappointed with the shrimp and grits, the shrimp was either over or undercooked, it was hard to tell which, but it was extremely tough and chewy). Aside from that, everything else was great! And the bread and homemade butters are to die for! read more

On Friday, May 5th, we went to The Botanic LLC restaurant in Opelika. Nicest restaurant I have ever been to in AL. What I liked the most was that they printed my daughter's name on the menu!!! The service and experience were top-notch, although, I had food poisoning from the pasta dish with salmon ($48 after tax and tips--yes this is for ONE plate). I made several trips to the bathroom throughout the night and only managed to sleep well after 4 am. Exhausting, to say the least. It was deplorable and totally unexpected to get sick from an establishment with such high standards (and prices). I would have gladly preferred remembering a positive experience than the memory of a night of food poisoning. So 2 stars from me. read more

Sunday Brunch was Amazing! Started with the "REMEDY" a top gourmet Bloody Mary. Was absolutely delicious and visually exciting. I won't spoil it for you by describing it just order it. Next we ordered coffee and beignets to our surprise came a real treat. A hand made ceramic oval dish filled with mini sugared beignets accompanied with a small chocolate cup for dipping. WOW sweet and yummy. Hubby ordered banana's foster banana bread French toast which was a flavor explosion he loved! I got our server's favorite the "Botanic Benny" did not disappoint. The chef knows what and how to make this egg oozing over sautéed fresh mushrooms and spinach. A true culinary delight! Amen our dining was like a prayer. Quiet fulfilling. The atmosphere was like we were in Europe at a Villa overlooking a lake. Bakery, gift shoppes, greenhouse and more to see at this fantastic place of respite. Christmas trees to choose also. The atmosphere was amazing however the food was just average. we had chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes , salmon and grouper. The potatoes were not good at all but the green beans were very good. The fish was good. We waited so long for our food that we got free dessert. I had strawberry short cake with homemade pound cake and it was a big disappointment. read more

Botanic is far and away the best dining-shopping-celebrating venue that has happened in East Alabama---perhaps forever! We made reservations for our anniversary and enjoyed Botanic immensely. Drinks at the bourbon bar were nice, and we were overjoyed to see King, visit with our old friend, and meet his beautiful wife Stacy. Botanic's location was formerly the restaurant "Cock of the Walk" before being bought by owners, King & Stacy, in 2020 to be completely transformed. For mains, the Botanic Smash Burger was solid. The pickle and bacon jam were delightful, though the sweetness could've used a sharper contrast. The Grown-Up Grilled Cheese was my least favorite--surprisingly light on the cheese for a grilled cheese. The Open Faced French Dip was enjoyable, though it took a creative departure from the traditional style. While the au jus was spot-on, the pot roast and focaccia weren't quite as memorable. Dessert ended the meal on a high note. The Banana Pudding Cheesecake was delicious, though I would've loved more caramelized bananas for that extra wow factor. I've been a loyal customer of Botanic for over a year now and have always loved the atmosphere, friendly staff, and quality of coffee. It's been my go-to spot for studying and working remotely, but I was extremely disappointed to discover that the shop no longer offers WiFi to its guests. As someone who frequently relies on the internet for schoolwork and other tasks, the lack of WiFi has significantly impacted my experience. I have been a handful of times the past few months, and every time I ask if the WiFi is back up, the workers explain that it is unfortunately still down. They have been saying the WiFi is "down" for months now. Either people studying at a coffee shop isn't important to Botanic, or they completely got rid of Guest WiFi and use the excuse of it being "down" to sugarcoat it. I understand that every business has its reasons for changes, but I hope you'll reconsider this decision, as many customers, including myself, rely on WiFi access to be productive, especially at a coffee shop. I truly value this wonderful establishment and would love to continue supporting it, but I may need to look elsewhere if the situation remains the same. My family and I had a great birthday dinner at The Botanic. Without a reservation, getting a table on a Saturday was tough, but they accommodated us as best as they could. The complimentary bread and house-made butter were a treat. While the menu didn't match what was online, the Brussels sprout appetizer was tasty, and my lobster risotto was the best I've ever had. the concept is fantastic, but the owners have allowed and enabled a very toxic and dysfunctional culture driven from the top down. allot of chiefs with no regard for earned respect, employee engagement, gender bias, romance at work dysfunction, drug use, and a host of EEOC risks. it will Not be until a complaint is filed, before someone takes notice and hopefully so.
