I've dropped by this place a few times over the years - it's a good alternative to the McDonald's in Westwood Village when craving fast food. This place is truly a take out, eat in your car sort of place. No ambiance to speak of. The "okay" health sign gave me a bit of pause but looking up details it seems like they have straightened up over the past few years. Ordering happens from a screen next to the counter and it's pretty straightforward. They'll call your name and number from a speaker when the order is ready - it generally doesn't take too long. This time around I ordered a cowboy burger - i was happy with how thick the onion rings were and the patty was good, although the bacon could have been cooked a bit more. I also had their version of a blizzard with Snickers - pretty satisfying. I do like that this is a 24/7 place in West Seattle. Not that I'm up past nine... but I guess I could go at 5am one day. read more

"Cheap" eats and late night openings. I have been to this place a few times in the past years and I believe they have change ownership. The place is a lot cleaner now and pretty nice that it is open 24 hours. You order the food at the window or at the touchscreens that are set out in the front. Then you just wait for your number to be called and that's really about it. Although, the food is just okay and nothing special. Never noticed this place in west Seattle until my husband drove passed it and saw it. Surprisingly the burger tasted similar to a Big Mac. The boss style fries was good, it has a hint of spice but you can't really tell, I wished they layered the sauce and cheese so the fries at the bottom gets flavor too. You order through the kiosk that is outside. Wait was not that long either but everything tasted fresh. The prices are also affordable. After helping my son move in to his new apt in Seattle, we were looking for a quick bite. Boss Drive-in popped up on the radar. Close. Inexpensive. And unpretentious. Upon arriving, we agreed they were, in fact, unpretentious. The lot and building are basic, they they keep everything clean and the building paint job is nice. Ordering took place at one of three kiosks (they also have a window for the less tech savvy lot). They have a lot more than their regional "drive-in" competition. Everything from basic to complex burgers. Chicken options. Various sides. Drinks and shakes. We opted for some basic burgers to compare (and fill that current empty void). The food is made to order and came out in under 5 minutes. Pretty darn good, though I would have liked just a little (more?) salt and pepper on the burger. Burger size is very fair for by today's standards. I spoke with another customer. He encouraged us to come back and try the fries, rings and shakes...and we may do just that. read more

This is a great spot for cheap delicious food. It's a fast food joint but without the grease. The food isn't overly greasy or salty. The ingredients taste fresh. Service is always prompt and friendly. There's a big selection from burgers to chicken tenders, fries and kids meal. I usually get the burger, chicken tenders, fries and milk shakes. Skip the mac and cheese balls. Unfortunately, there's no place to sit so it's pretty much a drive through. Honestly, this place is much better than Dick's. Especially the fries that are crispier. They also have a wide selection of sauces. Get the Boss sauce and Frank's (spicy vinegar). read more

Currently They have a lot of customers waiting and standing around outside and they are screwing up orders and making folks wait very long time frames. I ordered DoorDash from Boss Drive-In as they are quite close to my Airbnb, thus able to deliver to me very quickly. I ordered the cowboy burger and an order of fried Oreos. The burger was good and arrived very hot, which may be a better testament to the speed of my DoorDash driver or the proximity of the restaurant. The fried Oreos were also hot. I was disappointed that the "milkshake flavor" dipping sauce they came with was literally just the syrup they mix in with milkshake base. I didn't even bother trying that. Went to Boss Drive-In for the first time tonight, and I ordered ahead from my phone. The menu is pretty straightforward and I settled on a Cowboy Burger (minus mayo, add Boss Sauce) and fries with Boss Sauce for dipping. I was originally quoted 20 minutes for pick up, but I arrived early and wandered over to the window to find my order was ready already. Neither of the two staff members were really interested in conversation; to say there was a conversation is a stretch. When I got home, I found my food was still satisfyingly warm and fresh. The fries had the right amount of crunch, as did the bacon. The bun was fresh and the burger well seasoned. Portion sizes were ample for the price and the Boss Sauce had a delightful kick that really tied everything together nicely. I can see that undersized parking might be a bit challenging during peak business hours. I was there around 9:45 PM and, while there were ample spaces, the lot layout likely leads to a bit of chaos with more traffic. read more

It's been a couple years since their big decline, and they've come under new management again. So I figured I'd give them another chance, and I'm glad that I did. The service is a lot better, the menu has been simplified and is a lot easier to figure out, and the food quality is somewhat better. It's still not a *great* burger by any means but for the price it's totally reasonable, like, I'd definitely go here over McDonald's any day. Is it a gourmet burger? I want to like it more but it seems like ownership, whoever runs it or the people there just don't give a shit. I had not been to the Boss Drive In for too long and while driving to White Center, I thought it was timely to try it again. This time it was as good as the first,...and the only reason I just can't give it 5 stars is the fact that the french fries were lukewarm. The person at the window was extremely friendly, and let me know they would call my number when the order was ready. I ordered the Dub-C, which included 2 fresh beef patties, 2 slices of American cheese, pickles, lettuce, onions, Boss sauce. The Boss sauce is incredibly good. It seemed to have some mild heat. The bun was soft and warm. It really was the perfect burger. The already mentioned fries were crinkle cut, which are my favorite. I asked for a side of tartar sauce for the fries, and it was excellent as it featured a nice dill flavor. I am anxious to go back to the Boss, and I hope the fries are hot as that was the only downside of my visit. read more

Going on a cruise, just got off my flight and was very hungry. So I checked on yelp for some spots to eat and this popped up first. Upon arrival they definitely had the right music playing. My order was the chicken sriracha sandwich with bacon, with a side of onion rings. Everything is a la carte which is still not bad because the prices are pretty reasonable. My cousins all wanted burgers and fries. I ended up sharing my onion rings because there were alot in my bag. When I tell you my family was silent the whole time while eating. Trust me that's a good thing if your from the south. All the food was hot and fresh and the wait time was maybe 10 minutes or less. Great customer service. read more

Can't say much about service as I didn't use the walk up. My sister and I was randomly craving a burger but also didn't wanna shell out $15 for one. So between sushi and burger we settled for boss burgers. I'm going to be completely honest and I've never had a burger from this place. I can see this place from my house which I always find funny but there's always people here so I mean it cannnt be that bad. We both ordered the dub c burger and I opted for Mac and cheese bites and my sister got crinkle cut fries. It's a good burger, definitely helped with the random cravings. Mac bites were okay.
