This was perfect for what I wanted (in-n-out). Also as a vegetarian. My friend and I came here for drive through on a Thursday night. Can't blame them for this, but it's really hard to hear/order in the drive through because of the loud honking. I got the "grilled cheese" which was basically the burger and added veggies. I wish they gave me the option for grilled onions with this too. It tasted plain but that's what I wanted. I also drowned it in the pick-quick sauce. I would come back for this when I'm craving in-n-out. It was also only $3!!! My friend got the double cheeseburger and it looked very good. He enjoyed it. Bro I cant tell you again... this is the best burger in Seattle. everyday, every year - the sun always be shining on this spot in Sodo. Take a mental health day and go to Costco and then stop by and get Seattles best burger (grass fed). They have a walk up window and a drive thru ( no bathroom so plan accordingly). The best local ice cream and shake add-ins. Lets GOOO ! This place reminds me of in and out with dick's(seattle burger shop) swag. Not because they taste the same, but its just the feeling my eyes and taste buds have. My partner got similar vibes. Fun fact, ive Been coming to this place ever since I was old enough to drive. Maybe 20 years now, unless im mistaken. Maybe once a year. Its not the best food in the world, but its good and different enough that I eventually start to crave it. Probably because they dont put soggy mayo sauce based lettuce on every burger by default. I enjoyed how fresh everything looks and tastes. Many small burger shops can be overly soggy and greasy, but luckily thats not the case at this quick burger joint. They dont have an interior dining space, only outdoor picknick seating so be ready for that. I believe it used to be drive through only, but they eventually converted it to walk up orders only. Might be why the name is pickquick lol. Luckily the old drive thru is used as a covering when you order and wait seeing how it rains so much in washington. Ps, everything looks small when they start cooking so dont let your eyes trick you into ordering extra food. Ylih yea, and They also make a decent milk shake. This is a drive through burger spot where I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. I ate it about 45 minutes later, and from the first bite, it reminded me of In-N-Out. I definitely recommend getting it with grilled onions. The fries were great too they had a charred flavor that I really enjoyed. I'm so glad I found a place that's close to In-N-Out in taste, though the price is much higher in comparison. For those of you who are expecting to dine in - heads up - this is a drive through only burger spot in Sodo. It has a very classic and retro vibe and there is space to eat outside at the parking lot ( no seats) There was about 5-6 car line when we got in the line ( Sunday night) and waited maybe 5-10 mins. Ordered delux cheeseburger with triple patties, grilled onions , pickles and pick quick sauce. My inn n out reflexes also made me say "chopped chilli" expecting chopped pickled chilli pepper , however instead ended up getting a red sauce with ground meat ( chilli topping) - that was my bad. Overall solid burger, patties are thin - very similar to inn n outs. Buns were toasted. You either do Pick-Quick or you don't. I do. I like the old style flat burgers, and yes, they are thin, so I like to stack a second or a third patty for a double or a triple. The shakes and soft serve are a definite yes. I am some-timey about the fries because of personal preference. I like a crispier fry or a crinkle cut, but they are still good. This is a drive thru place, and there is parking if you want to pull over and eat it there. I love the vintage look of their neon signs, and after all, it is a vintage kind of place in business for over 65 years. I get very friendly service at the window. My only struggle is I always call it Quick Pick instead of Pick Quick. read more

I used to come here all the time but ownership changed a couple years ago. The food is basically the same but the service is terrible now. No one but the cashier spoke English today and when I said thank you the cashier slammed the window in my face without even looking at me. On top of that I saw the woman who drops off supplies come by today with expired out of state license plates on her SUV. The whole thing seems super sketchy. It seems like it's just a bunch of illegals in there and they don't care about their American customers anymore. What a gem of a burger stand! Burgers are fresh, delicious, and customizable. Service is friendly. And they don't seem to be cash-only any more. The burgers are California (or In-n-Out) style. I'm not willing to go so far as to say they are better than In-n-Out burgers, but they are definitely in the same league. Fries are superior to both In-N-Out (by a mile) and Dick's. They have a drive thru and walk-up order option but we chose the drive thru. Probably because it was a Friday but it took us almost 40 minutes to get through the drive thru. Fries were cold when we got it :( but burger was delicious. It tasted like if I were to make burgers at home. Simple, cheese was melted TO PERFECTION and the meat was very good quality. How does it compare to in and out? Burger wise, meat is better here, lettuce is better here and cheese is better here but buns are better at in and out. Fries are also better at in and out if you prefer more on the crispy side. I also like that you can customize the done-ness of your fries at in and out. Never disappoints! Grilled Cheese are my absolute favorite and just the best - why can't more burger places offer this?! PICK-QUICK Sauce is delicious but definitely heavily mayo based. French Fries are always fresh and hot. Chili is always yummy and fresh. They made both the Original Cheeseburger and Deluxe Cheeseburger correctly this time and they were so, so good!! 4 stars because the one time they did mess up our food and we complained about it, the restaurant did absolutely nothing / customer service is lacking and management needs to work on that. read more

This place is more of the "once in a blue moon" kinda spots, because every time you crave it, you remember how long the line of cars took to get through last time... We aren't talking just 10-15 minutes of waiting... we are talking 45 -60 minutes waiting... sitting in your car... just wondering and guessing what the car 2 spots ahead of you ordered to justify waiting 10 minutes for their food. The burger is great, the fries are great! The fries taste great with their house sauce and their tarter is top tier. But lordy, does it take forever to get there. The burger stand looks clean enough and the local parking lot and the view it provides is not terrible. Sometimes you can pass the time with people setting up the little market nearby. Don't go here if you are in a rush, or your blood sugar is slow. Go here prepped with a podcast ready to sit by and wait. The food is made to order so it takes a little time to prepare, but at least it is fresh. There is no seating so you need to eat in your car, take home or eat by the window. The burger is good, but not quite as good as in n out. The fries are good, especially with the fry sauce that you need to order on the side. It is a solid burger joint. Being originally from California, I miss being able to eat at an In N' Out Burger anytime I have a craving for it. I've had Pick-Quick on my radar because everyone keeps telling me it tastes similar to In N' Out. In my honest opinion, Pick-Quick did not taste like In N' Out. That doesn't mean it's bad, it just means they're similar because they're burgers and from businesses that began in the 1950's. However, they have their own uniquely delicious qualities and different business models. I prefer In N' Out, but in a pinch I am fine getting food at Pick-Quick. I just wish the speaker was louder because I had to really strain my ears to hear what the server was saying and asking me because of the competition with the adjacent loud road noise. Be forewarned that there are no tables at all here and the service was very slow!!! We ate nearby at the large parking lot next to Pick-Quick. My chocolate Malt was thick and delicious. Food was good, but sadly it did not satisfy my In N' Out craving. It was still yummy though so I would eat here again if I was in the area. read more

Pick-Quick still deserves 4 stars though for convenience, service, and, you know what, you pay for a cheap burger = you get a cheap burger. It's satisfying in that old-school, no-frills, drive-in way but doesn't blow me away or make me want to make the trip down to SODO again. I also grabbed a banana milkshake which was more vanilla than banana and the banana flavoring was super artificial.
