It is good, it is very good for a small drive-thru burger joint. But.... man oh man, does that long wait/slow service make it hard to justify visiting repeatedly. This place is more of the "once in a blue moon" kinda spots, because every time you crave it, you remember how long the line of cars took to get through last time... We aren't talking just 10-15 minutes of waiting... we are talking 45 -60 minutes waiting... sitting in your car... just wondering and guessing what the car 2 spots ahead of you ordered to justify waiting 10 minutes for their food. The burger is great, the fries are great! The fries taste great with their house sauce and their tarter is top tier. But lordy, does it take forever to get there. The burger stand looks clean enough and the local parking lot and the view it provides is not terrible. Sometimes you can pass the time with people setting up the little market nearby. Don't go here if you are in a rush, or your blood sugar is slow. Go here prepped with a podcast ready to sit by and wait. Being originally from California, I miss being able to eat at an In N' Out Burger anytime I have a craving for it. I've had Pick-Quick on my radar because everyone keeps telling me it tastes similar to In N' Out. In my honest opinion, Pick-Quick did not taste like In N' Out. That doesn't mean it's bad, it just means they're similar because they're burgers and from businesses that began in the 1950's. However, they have their own uniquely delicious qualities and different business models. I prefer In N' Out, but in a pinch I am fine getting food at Pick-Quick. I just wish the speaker was louder because I had to really strain my ears to hear what the server was saying and asking me because of the competition with the adjacent loud road noise. Be forewarned that there are no tables at all here and the service was very slow!!! We ate nearby at the large parking lot next to Pick-Quick. My chocolate Malt was thick and delicious. We had a large order, spoke to the owner on Friday about placing our order ahead of time but he said don't worry, it will be ready in 15-minutes on Saturday. Went there a little before they opened at 11am and was told by Fernando that they would do it this one time only and made us feel like we were a burden! We also left a $60 tip!! I'm going to be honest I was super disappointed with this. This place has been on my list for a while now after seeing they had twist cones and delicious looking food. But I was super disappointed with the results of our visit. I came around 7:00 at night for dinner and decided to go through the drive-thru for more of an experience. It took 30 minutes to get through the drive thru, which isn't a complaint of mine because the place lacked workers and it was super busy. I really enjoyed the vibe here it was super old-school retro looking and feeling. But for the food it was not great, first they didn't have twist cones because their ice cream was to soft. Second we ordered a chocolate shake and it was legitimately the worst chocolate shake I've had in my entire life. Like I honestly don't know how they screwed it up so hard because it had a great texture and consistency but it tasted like water. I feel like their other shake flavors may be better, but avoid the chocolate shake. For the burgers they were okay nothing great, also we asked for onions and for some reason they threw a whole hunk of an onion on our burger. And the fries were actually really good, hot and fresh though needed some more salt. My last add to my review was the price, insanely cheap like cheaper than McDonalds. I can see why people come here because for the quality I feel the price was super good, especially with other food choices in the area. I came upon this place from recommendations if I wanted something close to the aforementioned chain. Solid 3.5 stars Menu is simple. Ingredients are fresh. Prices are fair. This small drive through is a nice stop along the urban winery route for a quick bite. Don't expect a super fast pace for turning out your food if it's a little busy. Staff are friendly here and are working hard! Paid $15 for a special shake and a double deluxe. While not the cheapest 'fast food' it was pretty tasty. I do wish the burger had some added mustard and ketchup. Burger was not soggy or greasy. Shake was thick! It's right off of fourth ave but don't miss it. It's tiny. There is no better burger in Seattle and you won't pay more than 10 bucks for it. Get a shake while you're at it. It's the perfect place to stop en route to the stadiums to fuel up so you don't wind up spending $100 at the game for a couple hot dogs. And when I say drive-in, I mean, it's literally only a drive-thru service unless you count eating in your car somewhere nearby, which I imagine people do since there's no seating offered here. But don't let that discourage you from visiting PICK-QUICK Drive In. I was in the SODO area, running an errand and figured to check out PICK-QUICK, since I'm hardly in SODO. I came here soon after it opened and there were already two cars ahead of me. As the other reviews mentioned on here, it does take a bit to get your food. However, you can call ahead of time to order, in case you're on a time crunch. But know that the food is a wait because the food is made to order. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather wait for quality food than get something quick and mediocre. I ordered a double deluxe cheeseburger, fries and a side of the PICK QUICK sauce, which is basically upgraded fry sauce with pickle pieces! The PICK QUICK sauce was also on the burger, which made it even tastier. The burger itself was solid. I didn't even eat it right away, so I imagine it tasted much better in a parking lot somewhere in my car. But even then, I enjoyed my meal. I would suggest getting a double if you want a heartier meal since the patties are on the thinner side, but the double is filling. Like a standard, old school burger, it had lettuce, tomato, onion and their own house sauce. Fries weren't bad. Since I waited to eat util I got home, some of the fries were wilted and soft, but I could tell that the fries were anything but basic. And ya gotta have the fry sauce with! I saw that PICK QUICK is conveniently located near wineries and distilleries in SODO, so methinks a future visit will be in order since I'll need something to soak up all that booze after a day of drinking in SODO. This place tries to be the In N Out of Seattle. That's a noble goal, honestly - and it was solid. First, it's in an EXTREMELY RANDOM location - like, in an industrial area, super far from anything relevant, and you pretty much have to drive (I think it's only a drive-thru?). There was a homeless person yelling as we were taking our order - awkward, but kind-of expected. It has a small menu like in n out - burgers, fries, shakes. The thing that stood out to me was the chili fries - so, that's what I got and they were really good. Got the double burger and it was also solid - like a classic style, small-ish, greasy-spoon kind-of burger with a good sauce. They have hot dogs on the menu as well as burgers. Chili fries are also an option. I've been to their original Fife location a couple of times and loved it. There is an old school ambiance there and this company is locally owned. The service at this SODO location was very friendly and there was a reasonable drive thru wait. I had the Double Deluxe Cheeseburger and a Diet Coke. They ask if you want raw or grilled onions on the buger. I usually get grilled. The burger was satisfying and held together fairly well. Pick-Quick also has a points reward system where you collect 100 points and get a $10 credit. Just ask to sign up at the register. This place is worth a try. read more
