Food: 9/10 Space: 3/10 Vibes: 10+++ Don't be like me and get blindsided by the loud music and tight space. But I should already know that chill and Steinway never mix--ever. Our group came here to celebrate a happy occasion with such good vibes, so the vibes were definitely off the charts. The little "dance floor" they carved out in the middle barely suffices as one, but I guess they really made do with what they had. They definitely try to overpack this place to the max. Food was amazing, though. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, like the yuca corquettes (probably my favorite), coconut shrimp, shrimp ceviche, guac, and the tostones rellones. They were all so, so good and not overly expensive, that we made another order of everything. My drink (Mori Sanado) was very good and came with a cute fish-shaped glass. It's an overstimulating place, to say the least, so I'd mentally prepare for that alone. Since we came on a Saturday night, it was expected that it was a party vibe but I expect it's the same during brunch. You really do have to come with good company to be able to slightly enjoy this place. I wouldn't come here with people that I expect to have a conversation with, because you really can't hear anything. read more

The unlimited was very good, the food was hot and the yucca fries and steak were amazing! The service on the other hand was terrible!! The restaurant was practically empty but the wait was too long for drinks, hookah and food! The music was good, the ambiance was good but they need a big improvement on the service, don't think I'll be back. The tip was included, otherwise would have went to the bus boy! read more

BOSKÉ - Lounges Near Me - Queens, New York

Arrived at the restaurants opening hour on a Taco Tuesday, which doubles as a happy hour. After waiting over 45 minutes for 1 order of tacos, I decided that if I didn't receive the first serving halfway thru the time limit, it's not sensible to stay for "bottomless." Ordered 2 Happy hour drinks in a classic flavor, received both, and a check for 1 HH drink and 1 "classic margarita" for $14 Tip already included and unfortunately I ran to the bathroom or I would've only paid for what I ordered and not what they charged me for. The food was nonexistent, the service bad, and the ambiance was lacking! Do so much better! No thumbs for Boske, will not return. I do NOT recommend. read more

Honestly I am still trying to wrap my head around this dinner experience as it was NOT my first time here. The first time Around our total was $180. I am so disappointed of the turn of events for my coworker's birthday dinner earlier this month; a Friday night. First off, we made a reservation for 4 but at the last minute, another coworker decided to come celebrate with us. I didnt think this would be a big deal but boy was I wrong. I think this already set the tone for the evening to follow. The place was empty and they still gave us a hard time about adding one person to our party. We have been here before and had an amazing experience... obviously I came back and brought more/different people. The happy hour menu changed and we were still a little turned off at the lack of attention in the service considering they weren't busy. When we sat down, we were asked what kind of water we wanted. We said tap was fine and were brought a bottle of Panna water. Really??? Now I am not one to argue; especially with when out with company but don't you guys write stuff down??? Fine $10 gone .... When we get the bill, our grand total for the night was $$$540; which included taxes, the tip and $150 on tequila shots. $$$150?? Seriously?? We see that we were charged $15 for a shot of don julio....INSANE!!! Why not ask us the brand we wanted?? As does any other place... I mean there must have been a cheaper alternative. Mind you a bottle that has about 16 shots in it is under $50. I understand charging a premium at a bar but $15 a shot is excessive EVEN on Steinway street. I mean I still can't get over it or stomach it; which is why this review took forever and a day to post because I am Still upset at everything about that evening. Sadly, I won't be back and I don't recommend it! read more

Came in for drinks and there was a soccer game between Venezuela and Bolivia so it was extremely loud to the point where you couldn't hear anyone talking. Their drinks looked pretty good and I did see some people eating. Bartenders were ok mostly Colombian but not friendly like most Colombians. The place was pretty packed as well so I would say it's an okay place for drinks as for the food I have no idea since I didn't try anything but things looked tasty from what I saw. One drawback also was it was hotter inside than outside and today it's 80 degrees at the moment. Everything was good until 11pm when they asked us to leave because we've been here too long while we had bought 4 buckets of beer. Not sure what's the deal is but that's def not nice. We informed the guy we will leave when we're done and he was trying to get us out to get a group of women our seats read more

Overall, I had an enjoyable time at Boske, mostly for the really good music and ambiance. I think because we were a large party, sometimes food & service can get underwhelming. We were advised to use the two hour open bar pre-fixe menu to have ease of ordering for such a large group (12ppl). Aesthetically the drinks were pretty but were watered down, as I expected from open bar. I also don't have a liking for house liquor, so I wasn't a fan of the drinks. The food was okay. I liked the Yuca Croquettes but did not like the Mofongo Salmon appetizer. My salmon entree was tasty, but it's salmon, easy for any flavoring. I do look forward to returning and trying more food choices. read more

I dined here with a bunch of Yelp Elite friends and we sat by the bar. The interior was lovely and colorful with a chic, classy ambiance. We shared some appetizers, including Tostones Rellenos, Yuca Croquettes, Shrimp Ceviche, and Wings. The Tostones Rellenos were stuffed with ropa vieja, along with a tasty savory sauce. I loved how crispy the Tostones were, while the pork was nice and juicy. The Yuca Croquettes had angus sirloin inside, which was succulent and full of bold flavor. I also enjoyed the Shrimp Ceviche, which was served with light, airy, wonderfully crunchy plantains. The shrimp was fresh, tender, and had just the right amount of seasoning and citrus. The wings were decent, and had a bit of a kick to them. I ordered the Mofongo Bowl with Shrimp, but I think it would have been better with Ropa Vieja. The Mofongo was chewy, and tasted yummy with the accompanying sauce. However, it was a bit dry and bland. The Shrimp was just okay. Service was not the best. While I did enjoy some of the appetizers, I am used to much more authentic Dominican cuisine. This seemed to be just a trendy place, serving very Americanized Dominican fare. I wouldn't return. read more

What are my thoughts? So the vibe is something else! At 9:30 PM, it was so packed. It's lit in here. This is the place to be! Now on to the food...the wings were good. I thought they stood out. Totally would get that again. The yuca croquettes were flavorful. I wasn't a fan of boske bowl. My favorite thing was my drink: morir soñando. It was sweet, orange flavored, and strong in alcohol, and yes, true to its name...yes it was worth dying in your dreams. My cocktail came in a glass in the shape of a fish and had an orange slice and an edible flower inside. When I sat at the bar, I looked to my left, the couple each had these cocktails that were each so beautiful! I needed to mention like the jungle nectar had this elegant glass. Another thing that stood out was the presentation. There is an Instagrammable background for photos of a dripping neon heart. One more thing that was on point was the music. If you like to shake it, then note that this club turns up for dancing! It has all the top 40 Latin reggaeton hits! This is also a great spot for a birthday party or a celebration! I saw a place to reserve on open table, but when I went to book a table, they were all reserved so we just walked on in. I'm wondering how early I needed to book it. I also have to say the waitress taking care of us was really friendly and also attentive. On another note on IG, I saw their delicious brunch menu, and it looked yummy. I love to return & try their sancocho, tres golpes, red velvet waffles, bacon sliders, skirt steak & eggs, since it looked so incredibly delicious! read more

Went to brunch and jumped on the brunch deal- the food was pretty good, I think the portions definitely could've been bigger but all in all the taste was very nice: the service was not the best- the waiters and waitresses sat and drunk at the bar most of the time. The wait time for the actual food was ridiculously long. I will not return but I'm glad I was able to experience at least once. read more

The place has a great ambiance, a typical Dominican Lounge restaurant in New York City that has great lighting and good music all night, but super packed, making a reservation here with a small party is very hard so me and my friends decided to sit at the bar. The bartender did a great job with us, gave great recommendations that she had for drinks and food, and always checked on us making sure we were good and did not need anything. For me, I had a dry mojito or without alcohol as I was trying to continue my dry January challenge, one of my friends had the morir sonando which looked super good For food, we share a few appetizers. Boske Wings crispy passion fruit habanero with cilantro lime cream. The bartender told us the wings were super spicy, I was very excited to have a bite of the wings, but I did forget that we Dominicans don't eat a lot of spicy food, the wings were not spicy at all but were super bueno. Shrimp Ceviche cucumber grilled corn and plantains chips very good great taste the only complaint about this is the chips are not enough and they want to charge us extra for more. Yuca croquettes stuffed with mozzarella and chef blend black Angus sirloin. This is a must-try, the croquettes were super delicious, and very stuffed meat and cheeses. Tostones Rellenos, crispy plantains stuffed with cheppy sauce garlic shrimp with ropa vieja. The form is very similar to the mini monfonguito, I would have to say that it is logically the same. the taste was good and the tostones was pretty big and stuffed with pork. read more

I visited Boské in Astoria to watch the Dominican Republic vs. Venezuela game. The place has a great Dominican vibe and the atmosphere was fun, but the experience could have been much better. When we arrived, the game was not set up properly. It seemed like the staff was trying to find it on YouTube, even though it wasn't being streamed there. For the first 30-60 minutes people were trying to connect phones to the TVs, and many guests left frustrated. Eventually the game was finally shown, but it was already well underway. Service was also very slow. Our food took over two hours to arrive. One staff member, Alberto, was very attentive and helpful, but overall there was little communication from management. The place has great potential, but for major sports events it would help to prepare the broadcast in advance and improve service and organization. read more

This review is based solely on the drinks and vibes as we've never gotten food here. They play really good music but their drinks are super pricey for what you get. A little clear plastic cup that's like 6oz (not even filled to tje top) is $17 for a "margarita", it's ridiculous, especially because it's pre-made. The vibes also change depending on the day you come, one day it can be young people and one day older men just ogling the pretty bartenders so honestly it's a bit of a hit or miss. read more

Very cute and fun establishment. The food was 5/5; everything we ordered was delicious. The music was great and kept the vibe going. The hookah ($40.00 / $25 for refill) was done well also. I took 1 star off for service and weak drinks. The food server was very confused and kept bringing other guest's orders to our table and our food was given to the table next to us. We were also asked to move from our seats twice. I will definitely be returning and will just order a different drink. Must try! read more

The vibes were okay-ish i had booked a table through opentable for my birthday and when i got there they pretty much said that my reservation didn't exist and tables were first come first serve. I never saw any menu about the food even though it was heavily advertised on instagram as a food/hookah lounge. I did a bottle service and it was honestly mediocre like i got tequila no salt no lime.. just pineapple and cranberry juice. my server was constantly hovering my table so we could pay before we even finished the bottle. I came in for brunch last weekend with a friend. The place was surprisingly relatively empty and we had the place to ourselves. They're also pretty brand new. But it has a very clubby like atmosphere so I imagine it gets hopping in the evening. Black leather booths and seats with beautiful walls of a green like jungle vibe and interesting paintings in the corners. We went with their regular cocktail menu instead of the brunch cocktails. So I ordered an espresso martini and also the Violet Bloom later (Mezcal, violet liqueur, pineapple juice, butterfly syrup, and yuzu). My friend also had an espresso martini and the Morir Sonando. The espresso martinis were absolutely delicious. My friend's second drink was in a gigantic fish and kind of tasted like a tropical coquito. My second was visually pretty but wasn't my cup of tea and that's my bad because I'm just not a fan of mezcal but I enjoy the other ingredients that were in the cocktail. For our food she got the steak and eggs and I got the red velvet chicken and waffle. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The red velvet waffles were really nice and the chicken was nice. Together it was kind of an odd pairing to me. My friend thought it was great together but I just feel like the chicken has a general tso's sesame chicken vibe to it. Everything was still very tasty and the service was amazing. I'd definitely be interested in checking them out for dinner or happy hour. Forgetting the best part, their apps! The chicken empanada taco was scrumptious but don't sleep on their yuca croquettes filled with mozzarella and a black angus sirloin blend. Oh my lord. Those croquettes are crack. I'd come back alone for just those. read more

I decided to come on a Tuesday night with one of my girlfriends for what we thought was Ladies night and come to find out the buy 2drinks get a free dinner entree ladies special starts at 7pm & we got there by 5:30pm Since we were already sat down we decided to stay there and try out their food. They should definitely put that in their Instagram stories/post for the future when other ladies come before 7pm. My friend and I decided we were gonna share the guacamole and plantain chips as an appetizer. For dinner entrees we shared the Chofan with chicken & Churrasco (medium) with white rice, black beans, maduro (sweet plantain) and a house salad. Sadly I was disappointed. The salad was fine, maduros & beans were ehh, white rice tasted didn't taste fresh at all, wasn't fluffy whatsoever & it was hard! The steak was cooked medium but sadly the food got cold fast and I didn't get to enjoy the steak because of their a/c blasting and it wasn't even hot that day! The chofan was over seasoned and the guac would have been better if I had known it was gonna come with green peppers! I decided to get their sangria because they didn't have any Rose wine which I was kinda sad about too! Luckily they had some white wine and i was able to drink that as my second drink! Overall I did appreciate the customer service with the hostess, waitress, and busboy. SERVICE WAS BAD!! My friends and I had a reservation for 7:15 and we didn't get seated until 7:30. If you want food don't even bother. you have a better chance of getting your drinks faster than getting your food. Just go for the music vibes and drinks. I waited 40 minutes for an appetizer 2 empanadas for $14 which were both half the size of my hand. We also got chicken wings that tasted like they were old reheated wings. Not worth it. One drink was worth $17 and it wasn't even in the flamingo cup that it was advertised in the picture. When we asked one of the waiters he didn't say anything and acted like we didn't ask for anything and walked away. There wasn't enough alcohol in the drink to make me feel anything and way too much ice. We both ordered a order of churrasco which is steak with rice and beans, sweet plantains and salad. One order came out, we asked one of the kitchen workers for the second order and he said to ask our waiter who didn't know what happened with our order. She tried to offer us a free shot and said the place was so busy. I understood there was a birthday party (the people didn't order food, just drinks). There were also ppl who sat after us that came in and got served food first. Tbh there should've been multiple waiters instead of one taking care of like 7 tables clearly it was too much than what she could've handled. We also didn't get utensils, napkins and a glass of water until after we sat and had almost finished our appetizers. Overall I feel like everything was overpriced for the food and drink quality. If you're buying food you'll be waiting a while and no one will be checking on you. Spend your time elsewhere for an event. read more

Dear friends, Listening to my daughter recount her blue day, I learned she initially thought crepes might be the answer. However, as we parked, we spotted Boské, and she decided something a bit livelier might be the cure. Little did we know, this place would be the antidote to our blues. Boské is one of the most enjoyable places I've been to in years. The ambiance is playful with a touch of sophistication and a kiss of darkness, the food was delicious from start to finish, and the service was exceptional. The music and the people you meet there create an incredible atmosphere. Our server, Angie, was particularly attentive, warm, and welcoming. We even witnessed a group of "old ladies" celebrating someone's 100th birthday, which added to the joyous atmosphere. It was such a fantastic experience that we're already planning a return visit next year. I highly recommend scheduling your next event at Boské, no matter the size. It's the perfect place for any occasion. Warmly, Francia S. Ortiz read more

This review is mainly based on their all you can eat taco Tuesday. The ambiance is great, chic decor and lighting makes you feel you are in an upscale restaurant but with an affordable menu. Everything looks good and it's presentation is top notch from the food to the drinks served in whimsical glassware. Tacos tasted good, I ordered shrimp, salmon, carnitas (pork) and beef. They looked and tasted delicious especially the shrimp tacos. My only negative and why I gave it a 3 star review was the time it took for your order to arrive also the number of tacos served was odd especially when you only have 1 hour for the ayce. You start with 3 tacos and every additional order brings 2. They are not big by any mean so any normal adult can eat one in two bites so don't wait to finish to order or you will be waiting for the server to come to your table and take your order. On the day I went there was only one waiter and he was taking care of multiple tables so I literally sat there for up to 10 minutes waiting for him to finish his tables to get his attention to order again. In short, food is good in taste and presentation but not worth ordering the ayce personally especially when only a block away on 30th you can find mama coco taqueria offering $20 ayce as well although you won't find shrimp or salmon as part of the selection. read more

It could've been waaay better , we sat down and no one approached us until another server had to tell her co-worker that she had a table to attend to. When she does finally approach us she has no idea what we're talking about unless we showed /pointed at the picture of the items we wanted. After we got our food our server didn't come back to check on us until an hour later. When we ordered dessert we had to constantly remind her.
