    Beef empanada
    New York I.

The drinks need more alcohol. Seems like a newbie making them and don't know what certain drinks are. The margarita tasted like juice. The empanada was more like a crispy taco. They had good music.

Honestly I am still trying to wrap my head around this dinner experience as it was NOT my first time here. The first time Around our total was $180. I am so disappointed of the turn of events for my coworker's birthday dinner earlier this month; a Friday night. First off, we made a reservation for 4 but at the last minute, another coworker decided to come celebrate with us. I didnt think this would be a big deal but boy was I wrong. I think this already set the tone for the evening to follow. The place was empty and they still gave us a hard time about adding one person to our party. We have been here before and had an amazing experience... obviously I came back and brought more/different people. The happy hour menu changed and we were still a little turned off at the lack of attention in the service considering they weren't busy. When we sat down, we were asked what kind of water we wanted. We said tap was fine and were brought a bottle of Panna water. Really??? Now I am not one to argue; especially with when out with company but don't you guys write stuff down??? Fine $10 gone .... When we get the bill, our grand total for the night was $$$540; which included taxes, the tip and $150 on tequila shots. $$$150?? Seriously?? We see that we were charged $15 for a shot of don julio....INSANE!!! Why not ask us the brand we wanted?? As does any other place... I mean there must have been a cheaper alternative. Mind you a bottle that has about 16 shots in it is under $50. I understand charging a premium at a bar but $15 a shot is excessive EVEN on Steinway street. I mean I still can't get over it or stomach it; which is why this review took forever and a day to post because I am Still upset at everything about that evening. Sadly, I won't be back and I don't recommend it!

Came in for drinks and there was a soccer game between Venezuela and Bolivia so it was extremely loud to the point where you couldn't hear anyone talking. Their drinks looked pretty good and I did see some people eating. Bartenders were ok mostly Colombian but not friendly like most Colombians. The place was pretty packed as well so I would say it's an okay place for drinks as for the food I have no idea since I didn't try anything but things looked tasty from what I saw. One drawback also was it was hotter inside than outside and today it's 80 degrees at the moment. Everything was good until 11pm when they asked us to leave because we've been here too long while we had bought 4 buckets of beer. Not sure what's the deal is but that's def not nice. We informed the guy we will leave when we're done and he was trying to get us out to get a group of women our seats

Always a great time. Celebrating my brother's birthday while he was in town. Wednesdays are Females eat Free with a mandatory purchase of two drinks.. I had the "Mexican Lover" and it did not disappoint. We each had something different and enjoyed sharing. We had fast service with quick seating and the establishment has a beautiful Ambiance.

I had a good time here on a Sunday brunch, the vibes were as I expected. The food was really good, they just need to work on the cocktails. Very fun spot.

once me and my friend were seated after a couple of minutes a group of people came and the host wanted to accommodate seating for them so they moved us all the way to the back right below the speaker so i advocated to sit somewhere else so they had to figure it out few mins went by and they sat us back the same section we were in quite embarrassing mind you we reserved a table , however the food was good but my drink passion fruit cocktail was water down, music was amazing tho! ive only went cause i heard brunch in boske is fun, i don't think i will be coming back for dinner next time i will go brunch hours only

Great experience with Will making our Jungle Fever jellyfish drinks at the bar! We love it!

Wonderful experience and great drinks! Got the Jungle Fever in a fun jellyfish cup. Will is the best bartender and we'll come looking for him next time we're here.

I dined here with a bunch of Yelp Elite friends and we sat by the bar. The interior was lovely and colorful with a chic, classy ambiance. We shared some appetizers, including Tostones Rellenos, Yuca Croquettes, Shrimp Ceviche, and Wings. The Tostones Rellenos were stuffed with ropa vieja, along with a tasty savory sauce. I loved how crispy the Tostones were, while the pork was nice and juicy. The Yuca Croquettes had angus sirloin inside, which was succulent and full of bold flavor. I also enjoyed the Shrimp Ceviche, which was served with light, airy, wonderfully crunchy plantains. The shrimp was fresh, tender, and had just the right amount of seasoning and citrus. The wings were decent, and had a bit of a kick to them. I ordered the Mofongo Bowl with Shrimp, but I think it would have been better with Ropa Vieja. The Mofongo was chewy, and tasted yummy with the accompanying sauce. However, it was a bit dry and bland. The Shrimp was just okay. Service was not the best. While I did enjoy some of the appetizers, I am used to much more authentic Dominican cuisine. This seemed to be just a trendy place, serving very Americanized Dominican fare. I wouldn't return.

Went to brunch and jumped on the brunch deal- the food was pretty good, I think the portions definitely could've been bigger but all in all the taste was very nice: the service was not the best- the waiters and waitresses sat and drunk at the bar most of the time. The wait time for the actual food was ridiculously long. I will not return but I'm glad I was able to experience at least once.

What are my thoughts? So the vibe is something else! At 9:30 PM, it was so packed. It's lit in here. This is the place to be! Now on to the food...the wings were good. I thought they stood out. Totally would get that again. The yuca croquettes were flavorful. I wasn't a fan of boske bowl. My favorite thing was my drink: morir soñando. It was sweet, orange flavored, and strong in alcohol, and yes, true to its name...yes it was worth dying in your dreams. My cocktail came in a glass in the shape of a fish and had an orange slice and an edible flower inside. When I sat at the bar, I looked to my left, the couple each had these cocktails that were each so beautiful! I needed to mention like the jungle nectar had this elegant glass. Another thing that stood out was the presentation. There is an Instagrammable background for photos of a dripping neon heart. One more thing that was on point was the music. If you like to shake it, then note that this club turns up for dancing! It has all the top 40 Latin reggaeton hits! This is also a great spot for a birthday party or a celebration! I saw a place to reserve on open table, but when I went to book a table, they were all reserved so we just walked on in. I'm wondering how early I needed to book it. I also have to say the waitress taking care of us was really friendly and also attentive. On another note on IG, I saw their delicious brunch menu, and it looked yummy. I love to return & try their sancocho, tres golpes, red velvet waffles, bacon sliders, skirt steak & eggs, since it looked so incredibly delicious!

Came here for taco Tuesday unlimited tacos my favorite are the salmon taco I tried the chicken but they barely give you any meat I assume because it's unlimited I also had chicken saltado meal portion was pretty small they have a live dj so this place can be a vibe also keep in mind they automatically add gratuity into the check

The place has a great ambiance, a typical Dominican Lounge restaurant in New York City that has great lighting and good music all night, but super packed, making a reservation here with a small party is very hard so me and my friends decided to sit at the bar. The bartender did a great job with us, gave great recommendations that she had for drinks and food, and always checked on us making sure we were good and did not need anything. For me, I had a dry mojito or without alcohol as I was trying to continue my dry January challenge, one of my friends had the morir sonando which looked super good For food, we share a few appetizers. Boske Wings crispy passion fruit habanero with cilantro lime cream. The bartender told us the wings were super spicy, I was very excited to have a bite of the wings, but I did forget that we Dominicans don't eat a lot of spicy food, the wings were not spicy at all but were super bueno. Shrimp Ceviche cucumber grilled corn and plantains chips very good great taste the only complaint about this is the chips are not enough and they want to charge us extra for more. Yuca croquettes stuffed with mozzarella and chef blend black Angus sirloin. This is a must-try, the croquettes were super delicious, and very stuffed meat and cheeses. Tostones Rellenos, crispy plantains stuffed with cheppy sauce garlic shrimp with ropa vieja. The form is very similar to the mini monfonguito, I would have to say that it is logically the same. the taste was good and the tostones was pretty big and stuffed with pork.

It's not just a treat for the eyes the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and cozy, making it feel just like home, perfect for families. Add to that a full bar stocked with everything from cocktails to wine. Every corner of this restaurant was spot less, you can tell the staff has a great attention to detail. You've got the recipe for a truly lively and memorable dining experience. The aroma alone promised something special. Cocktails Ordered: -Tamarind -Mojito Food ordered: -Tostada de Chivo -Rabo Encendido with rice and beans -sweet plantains The Tamarind cocktail is like a little getaway in a cup. After a 15 minute walk from citi fields this drink was seriously refreshing! It hits all the right notes with a fantastic balance of sweet and tangy that just makes your taste buds sing. Normally it comes with tequila, which isn't really my thing, but a huge shoutout to the server (Jaida) for changing it to vodka. That swap made it absolutely perfect, letting the vibrant tamarind flavor truly shine without any distraction. It's definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a unique and delicious drink. The mojito from the moment it arrives, you can tell it's freshly made. The aroma of mint and lime just jumps out, instantly making your mouth water. Every sip is incredibly refreshing, bursting with that perfect balance of sweet, tart, and the vibrant kick of fresh mint. It's definitely a delicious and perfectly aromatic drink. The tostada de Chivo delivered beyond expectations. This wasn't just a starter it was an experience. Visually, it was a masterpiece a perfectly crisp, golden tostada serving as the foundation for a vibrant medley of ingredients, begging to be devoured. The sheer generosity of the toppings hinted at the rich flavors waiting to unfold. The star of the show, without a doubt, was the Chivo. Slow-cooked to an incredible tenderness, each shred of meat practically melted in my mouth, releasing a deep, savory flavor that was both earthy and subtly spiced. It had that wonderful, slightly gamey quality that makes chivo so unique, but it was incredibly clean and succulent, clearly a result of careful preparation. There was no dryness, just pure, juicy deliciousness. The Rabo Encendido is an experience not to be missed. From the moment it arrives, you cant help but be excited to uncover the depth of flavor under the lid. Paired with rice and red beans that were so rich in flavor. The oxtails, clearly slow cooked with meticulous care, present themselves as a testament to traditional cooking at its finest. The magic truly happens with that complex sauce. It's a symphony of spices and herbs, each note perfectly balanced, creating a robust and savory foundation that elevates the oxtail to new heights. Every forkful reveals meat so tender it genuinely just falls off the bone without any effort whatsoever. And then, the melt-in-your-mouth texture. It's not just tender, it's ethereal. The richness of the oxtail, infused with the intricate flavors of the sauce, creates a dish that is both comforting and incredibly luxurious. This Rabo Encendido isn't just a meal it's a truly memorable culinary journey. The Fried sweet plantains were pure joy! Each bite offers that perfect balance of caramelization and natural sweetness, with a soft, tender inside. They're a simple side that truly shines, adding a delicious, comforting warmth to our meal. Every sip and bite were a harmonious blend of fresh and savory making it an absolutely unforgettable meal that I'd happily go back for again and again.
