They were super quick and efficient with moving all my boxes, disassembling my furniture, and wrapping my larger furniture with blankets. They then went to my fiancés apartment and was able to load everything from his place as well and get to our new apartment with all of our stuff. I did lose my step ladder and broom during the move but after calling the next day they were able to find and bring it that day. I was super appreciative of this. Despite telling them that I had items in two storage units as well as a single-family home, they failed to adequately staff my move, resulting in time wasted at the storage facility for another truck to show up and insufficient personnel to unload the trucks at my new location. The whole move lasted well into the night because they hadn't adequately resourced my move. Regarding the damage to my furniture, I was told I would be reimbursed a certain amount, and I agreed. It was a fair offer. Then I got another written offer that was significantly below what was originally offered to me. The amount that was supposed to be reimbursed to me? Never received. As I unpack more boxes, I'm finding more damage and shoddy packing. I can no longer recommend this company.

We had to call the Uhaul hotline and we got another truck exchanged within about 2 hours. The new truck didn't have much gas in it so it was annoying we had to fill up before we left. We might of made it to Manassas on fumes. The trailer and truck was dirty and was noted on the receipt so we didn't have to clean it upon return.

I had rented a uhaul, provided my credit card and the provider decided, without telling me he was going to rent my uhaul to someone else, that he was going to rent my reserved uhaul to another person. The provider had NO remorse for doing this to me. This happened on the DAY of my move. It led to me having to reserve a smaller truck, which meant I needed to do multiple trips, pay for many additional miles because the reservation location was farther away and cause me so much additional stress during a move that was already stressful during the holidays. In my opinion, Uhaul should reimburse me for the additional cost due to their providers bad judgement and inappropriate conduct.

Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. We've tried to rent with them twice and it has happened both times. Rent increases over 60%! They say it's based on "current market conditions" but the rate only goes up and never down, and they cannot explain how the "market rate" jumped over 60%. We have prepaid for our unit, 6 months at a time. So we're locked in as a good, laying customer, and they'd rather lose our business than leave our rate the same. They did claim they could reduce the increase but if that's true then it's not about the market rate, is it?
