Seeing that the clearance section was also included in their BOGO 50% deal, I grabbed some clearance socks for my daughter. What a fabulous deal! Both for under $30 - that's a deal, for sure! I got home that day realizing the fit was too narrow/tight for my high arched feet and made the decision to rerun the shoes. I went into road runner the next day, Wednesday, to return the shoes. (mind you I did not buy the membership because it was $19.99(?) plus $49.99 annually on top of the already $160 shoes.) This is when I was told by a manager named Alexis, that I had worn the shoes - when I in fact had NOT worn the shoes besides trying them on in store- and he wasn't going to give me my money back. I told him that he was wrong and needed to give me my money back. He gave me my money back very reluctantly ensuring me he didn't believe me. He told me he remembered me "not buying the membership" and that he remembered the shoes being clean and unworn on Tuesday. I left the store in tears over the interaction. Later, once I had calmed down, I realized I had taken photos of the shoes in store on Tuesday prior to buying them. It came to my realization that Gary and Alexis had sold me the floor sample shoe without telling me and then proceeded to blame me for the shoes being worn. After being treated so poorly, I will never be going back to road runner.

Disappointing Customer Service…read more I've been shopping at the Levi's store at Irvine Spectrum almost every weekend, so I'm very familiar with the store and usually enjoy stopping by to see what's on sale. During my recent visit, a bald male employee asked me, "Have you been here last weekend?" I said yes and mentioned that I'm there almost every weekend. He then asked if I was looking for something in particular. I said that I usually come in to see if I can find something on sale, and his response was, "Not this store." I honestly found the comment unnecessary and very unwelcoming. As a regular customer, that's not the kind of interaction I expect when walking into a store. There are much better ways to communicate with customers without making them feel like they're being pushed away. I hope management addresses this because one employee's attitude can easily turn away a loyal customer. I'll definitely think twice before coming back. 8/8/26 @ 10am.

I am not a regular shopper of Madewell but recently bought an item online because I saw it in-person at the store. It didn't work out so I went to Madewell MV and was assisted by Jaidyn M. Hopefully this is the correct young lady because I didn't catch her name at the time but found this name on my emailed receipt. Jaidyn was extremely warm and patient and helped me complete the return. I know we've all been there when making a return at any retailer only to feel like we're bothering them or taking away from their daily revenue goal, which we are lol, but Jaidyn didn't make me feel that way at all.
