Skip Macy's, MW, and Friar Tux. This is the place to get a suit. I used to come into MAX when I worked sales at the Mission Viejo mall. The owner, Mike, is a really nice guy and he knows his business well. You don't find a lot of shops with this level of personal attention. The store has all kinds of cool and unique shirt designs and his suits are extremely well-priced. My fiancee (who sold men's suits for 8 years) was astonished at the prices and was very impressed with Mike's ability to accurately size me up just by looking at me. As you may have guessed by now, I returned to MAX for my wedding suit and those for my groomsmen as well. We decided on a very nice blue color that was just a bit brighter and more vibrant than Navy blue. My groomsmen and I looked great and we were showered in compliments on the wedding day. I'd recommend MAX to any guy who wants to look sharp for prom, work, parties, or weddings. read more

Long overdue review here but I just remembered MAX after referring a friend to them today. I've purchased suits from here for years, and have about 6-8 suits from this location as I wear them every day for work. The service is great and the value is excellent. They've held up well after the years and are inexpensive to replace if need be. I've received compliments several times on their suits- and people often think they're designer suits. I can't speak highly enough of this store and the proprietor, Mike. He absolutely knows his stuff; just by eyeballing someone he can assess what would look best on them, and he (in our case) unfailingly recommended the most flattering pieces for our groomsmen and the man of honor. Not only that, but his employees work incredibly quickly on alterations, often getting the simple ones done in less than 20 minutes. I insisted on my man of honor getting his suit here, and he got a simple but snappy combo of jacket, pants, and shirt, but also got a fantastic tie, belt, and pocket square to go with them. He looked great, and so did all of my new husband(!)'s groomsmen. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Especially for the deal they have: $139 for a simple suit. So much better than renting! I went to Max for a custom tailored suit and they did an amazing job. The gentlemen sized me up immediately and knew my jacket, pant, and shirt size immediately just by looking at me. This is what you want in a suit tailor, someone who knows what there doing because they've done it ten thousand times. The entire fitting took 15 minutes once I picked out the suit I wanted, I opted for black Italian wool. The pant and jacket was custom fitted and marked to size. I purchased a full suit with shirt and silk tie, Max threw in free tailoring and an extra free tie!! They even finished my tailoring that same new night! The whole thing cost around $320 (they have other options but I opted for body cooling material because no one likes sweating it up in a suit). I was very happy and given the fact that I received a high quality suit and free tie and tailoring I don't think you could do better. I will be getting my next suit at Max, they have a great selection, all kinds of fits and did an awesome job. My wife even said that this was my best suit. read more
