Can't keep me away! - To clarify my older review: The town of Irving takes in the animals. And they are generally quite overcrowded and have no choice but to put some animals down. The DFW Humane Society side takes in animals from the Town of Irving side, and they will hang onto them forever if necessary and do not put down any animals due to lack of space. - There is a completely separate foster-based organization called PAWS For Irving Animals. They save animals from the shelter that would otherwise be put down due to space constraints and places them in foster homes around the area. Please google PAWS For Irving Animals for details. You won't regret it!

Because the shelter wasn't busy, we got to take 3 dogs (separately) out to the play yard. We were able to play with them for about 20 min each. They had toys and water for the dogs.
