I wish I had read the previous bad reviews, and I would not have come here. My husband took our sweet, very obedient pitbull to Pet Haven for nail trimming. We had a muzzle on her to prevent any sort of accident, although she has never done anything like that. When my husband took her in to see the owner/groomer, she was yanking her legs and yelling at her throughout the visit. My dog never (although muzzled) tried to nip or even growled, which is pretty impressive considering. She was terrified, and the groomers yelling likely created most of the fear. If you want a dog to stop pulling away from you, be calm and help them feel safe with you. Don't ever yell at my dog! My poor dog was trembling for a while after the visit. This place was extremely unprofessional and I will never be back. read more

I thought was marking them for her inventory as she said from her warehouse but when I got home and opened the cans, the smell was horrible. Our pets are comfortable here and Ms. Laura knows them. She is very knowledgeable she even picks out their toys.

My 100 pound chow chow haaaates getting groomed so it is very difficult to find places that will even attempt to do it. They always do a good job here and are very nice and don't make us feel bad or like an inconvenience to them. read more

I have been here twice now, had my dog groomed multiple places and never in my life experienced such horrific service, first time was great,second time my dog came back to me bloody and burned, she is 5 years old ,spunky outgoing playful dog.and I can't t even get her to eat or go potty, she shakes and is terrified of everything now. I can only imagine what took place and as professionals no dog matted or not should come back after paying for a service looking the way my dog did, I reached out to the owner to try to explain and rectify the situation, all she did was give me excuses and in the end I asked is this all we can do she replied yes, so I paid for a service to cause harm to my dog she hung up on me. I will be cutting my dog from now on but if you do not want your baby to go through what mine did I suggest you avoid this place like the plague. I'm not one to bash anyone but after I brought it to her attention all she could say is she'll be the one to cut her from now on. No thank you! I will not put my baby through that again! Not to mention I asked for specific hair cut and didn't get it.the "clean cut " wasn't even clean it was patchy at best you can't tell me this was ok by any means, and to suggest because of her tears it might have pulled the skin is beyond me to understand how a professional would think this was ok!!! read more

The Big Guy has been taking the demon spawn for grooming for ages. They are really friendly and reasonably priced. The demon spawn is an Australian Shepherd, and every summer we get her a full shave. She looks SO happy and so good when she leaves. The address has changed - it's located in a much bigger facility - hooray! Laura is a power groomer meaning - she is trained on workiing complicated dog gooms. Gracie is a very difficult dog groom. Came here to get my puppy his nails trimmed and not going to lie it was nice and cheap. They have an option to cut for just 5 bucks or to dremel it down for 9 bucks. I chose the dremel and it went super quick. Now the selection of pet food and and pet toys aren't too expansive but it has items that you would need. It's a great little space and it has neat things for my dogs. It definitely has nice things for all pets I would definitely recommend coming here for things though the selection is quite small. Overall from this experience it was quite nice and I definitely will be bringing my boys here again. read more

They are pricey, but they do a great job with my Aussie her hair grows back perfect and they are easy on her hips. I know my dog is happy when she gets back with her short hair in this texas heat. They used to be $40 at the old location now it $75 ugh. No coupons either. They always have her ready when they say she will be ready. read more

Unhappy with fees and groom for my new puppy. I've been to Pet Haven many times during the past 9 years. It's obvious that ownership and employees have drastically changed! I called for a quote for a bath and face, feet, tail trim for my yorkiepoo. Quote was $30-$35. I was charged $44.00 and when I asked why it was so high, she said that water and shampoo was an extra charge!! WTH how can you groom a dog without water and shampoo??!! I asked that his "eyebrows" be left pretty long because they protect their eyes and they were cut off down to 1/8". It was his first grooming and will be his LAST at Pet Haven. read more

Recently took my doggies here to have their claws clipped; The store has great inventory, great dog food choices, leashes, collars, bowls shampoos etc. The cashier was very nice, good customer service. The store was somewhat clean, there was lots of empty boxes throughout the store & what seemed like unused equipment. We never met/saw the person who clipped their claws. The lady at the counter took one of my dogs to the back, we could hear him screaming & he even pooped himself in the process. When we left the store he was walking funny. When my other dog was taken to the back she was screaming as well & I could hear a lady yelling back at her to "stay still & stop moving". Not a great way to calm down a dog. We were at the other side of the store and we could hear our dogs screaming while this was being done. Their claws looked horrible, crooked & very short. We ended up having to carry him to the car & throughout Petco. Their nails were cut too short & looked horrible not smoothed at all which we were told they would do both. At the end they had them fixed at Petco only smoothed the claws for one since the little ones claws were too short and could bleed if messed with. read more

I highly recommend this business. The couple that own this business are very knowledgeable about pet food, supplements and pet symptoms. After spending several thousand at a vet for a cat with IBS, the proper food and a supplement was the recommended. My cat had been on Science Diet prescription food for years with no possitive health improvement. Vita Pura turned out to be the answer. Pet Haven allowed me to try several foods and accepted returns on any product. That is better than my vet. They only credit my account. I am so happy that I discovered Pet Haven. read more

They seemed nice at first, but my dog was badly hurt here and returned to me with severe bruises and abrasions. I told them my dog was very scared of being groomed, and they assured me they would take extra care. He was red all over when they returned him to me. I was kind of in shock, so I just paid and left, and took pictures when I got home. They said it was caused by a harness in the bath area... must be a very sharp harness to cause that kind of damage. My dog had scabs healing for weeks from the damage he received there. I will not return. 15 years of getting groomed, and this has never happened. read more

I have been taking my schnauzer to Pet Haven for years and they do an incredible job with her. They follow my requests and she is so clean and fresh when she leaves. They know her by name when she comes in before they pull her card. I too am happy they now have a bigger facility. Wouldn't think of taking Maddie anywhere else! read more

Great groomer for long haired cats! Adopted a Persian who was a mess with matted fur and stained eyes and he looks beautiful and didn't have to be totally shaved. He was so calm when I picked him up so I know he was treated well there. They also sell toys, food, litter, brushes and combs and were very knowledgeable about everything unlike the big box stores. The dogs were being walked inside store on leash instead of stuck in a kennel too if you need dog grooming. Definitely recommend! read more

I had bought a bag of $70 dog food and noticed when I went to open it 2 weeks later that it had expired in March of 2013...this is January 2015!!! OOPS that shouldn't happen, but that's not all!! I called and explained to the owner my situation, she apologized and asked me to return the food for a new bag with a Jan 2016 date on it. She was very nice on the phone!! I took my 8 month old lab with me to exchange the bag... NOT a good idea... my fault! Very hard to handle an 8 month old lab and a 25lb bag of dog food, especially going through 2 doors at the store. When I walked in the store, the owner was engaged in a conversation with another customer. She never acknowledged me or offered help while I was standing there in obvious struggle. Her husband walked up and she looked at him and said, "give her that bag, she needs to exchange the one she has." He looked at her and said, " You know I can't pick that up!" She then turned around in not very happily and grabbed the bag and handed it to me... This all while I was stating how stupid I was for thinking I could bring a puppy with me and exchange this 25lb bag of food. She handed me the bag and never offered to help with the door or carry my food to the car....they both just watched me struggle with 25 lb bag of dogfood and a 55 lb lab puppy through the 2 doors! The good news is they exchanged the bag of food! read more

I took both of my dogs to this groomer and me they told me that one of them had had diarrhea, a bloody nose, and wouldn't stand up during her visit. They did not care to inform me of this until I went to pick her up (about 6 hours later). I would have picked her up immediately if I got this news before. They also nicked my other dog's skin pretty badly. When I brought them both home they each drank water for about 2 minutes each, which makes me think that they were not given enough water at the facility. I have not taken my dogs back since, and found a different groomer that I am more comfortable leaving my dogs at. Not worth my money, or my dog's safety. read more

Pet haven has a wide selection of healthy foods for your pets, especially dog foods. They carry great brands such as Fromms and Zignature which feed our English Bulldog and Great Pyr. They also have great chewable toys our pups love, thier favorite being the water buffalo antler. They chew on that for months before finishing it. The owner is very helpful in guiding you to a good food should you be in need of advice. read more
