Each review was telling my…read morestory from the moment I drove my car into the parking lot and the staff came out to assist me with removing my dog from my vehicle. They took one look at him and knew he was bad off. They immediately took my baby and rushed him to the back and begin working on him. They allowed me to stand there and observe everything they did to my King. I am a medical person and I am familiar with the processes of triage patients with emergencies. The physician performed a sonogram and began to tell me my options of care. I had to make the most difficult decision in my life. I decided not to be selfish and to have my King put to rest. This facility not only comfort me, but my family as well. They gave us a room and told us to take our time, they offered refreshments and continually checked on us. They just went out of their way with compassion and concern. I have never experienced this type of Customer Service in my entire life. It made me and my family feel heard and understood about our wishes. Once my family completed our goodbyes and they put our King to rest, they comfort my family, some even shared tears with us. They gave us things to remember our baby boy King that I will cherish forever.This hospital will always hold a special place in my heart. This is a place that I would love to work at and be proud to say that I worked there because each and every person who works in that building are Gods angels, and truly care about the animals that they treat. I will always be grateful. I know this was God's plan because it all went perfectly. Yes, I left without a dog, but I now have a new family that I would cherish with my other pets. Thank you again to each and every one of the staff who comfort my family, who gave my comforting hugs and who helped my King. I pray that this establishment continue to employee such phenomenal people who I believe are Angels. I would recommend this pet hospital anyone will listen. I am forever grateful.

We have been going here for 10 years. They always exceed our expectations. On our most recent…read morevisit, routine shots, etc. we forgot to tell them about our dog's terrible ear infection. They didn't blink an eye. they said they would take care of his ear infection in addition to giving him his routine shots. Dr. Kelsi was there and they took care of the ear infection and his routine shots. They did not make us come back for the ear infection . They are the best of the best of the best. We recommend them to everyone!!

It's unfortunate because I did like this place, the staff was friendly enough and it was close to…read moremy house but guys.... I am 4 months into a UTI issue with one of my dogs and they cannot give me a solution that works, we've tried 3 different kinds of antibiotics and I have made the infection impossible to treat now. The correct approach looking back was to do a full urinalysis and know exactly the type of bacteria so we could target it correctly out of the gate. They didn't suggest that until we had 2 full failed rounds and then when we did the test their lab left the urine out too long and got inconclusive results. Nonetheless, I continued on with round 3 of antibiotics, finished it last week and the dog is peeing in the house again today. Taking him to another vet now and looking back this process just makes me furious. I've spent close to 10k on visits, medicine, new food, supplies for my house and I had to get new floors... all without even having a solution. People should know about my experience and I hope no one else has one similar.

We have been to Dr. Gwynn several times, usually for our cats, Marco & Polo…read more Once, I even brought in a turtle, that I "rescued" as it ambled across Rufe Snow. I wanted to learn what kind of turtle, and the environment I should release it (far from busy roads). I did. But this last visit was a sad one. Polo developed a tumor, on his lower jaw, several months back. Options included risky surgeries (mandibulectomy), or traditional cancer therapies (chemo), that would greatly diminish his quality of life, and only marginally extend it. We did get several evaluations, all the same, grim, recommendations. The only real option, was enjoy Polo until the growth affected his well being, and then humanly end his suffering. That day was two days ago (9/8/2020). We brought Polo in to be humanly euthanized (I really do not like the term "put to sleep"). Writing this makes me sad, so let me finish by saying Dr. Gwynn and her staff were caring and compassionate every step of the way. I was able to stay with Polo, the entire time, right up his last breath and heartbeat. Toward the end, after the first shot, a tranquilizer, he even started purring. I like to think it was because he was no longer in pain, and that he could see me, and feel me holding him. It was, and continues to be, very sad. But I (we) are happy that Polo is no longer suffering. We are very grateful to Dr. Gwynn and her staff for their help with this difficult thing to do. Bottom line: We will miss you Polo, always.

This vet has received rave reviews for dogs and cats. Do NOT use for rabbits. I took my female…read moreholland lop to be spayed. Post surgery I was given generic instructions that I was told they give to all of their spay patients. The instructions were accurate for a dog or a cat. They instructed to not give food until 8pm, and then, to only give half. They also instructed to withhold normal water amounts until the following morning. These instructions are not only incorrect, but would have been extremely dangerous for a rabbit's post operative care. They go in ato GI Stasis if they don't eat. Thankfully, I had done my own research and knew that. When I asked the discharge tech at what point I would need to bring her in if she hadn't started eating yet, she replied with, "Oh I don't know. Maybe a couple of days?" If I had followed both the discharge post op instructions as well as this tech's directions, my rabbit could have very likely died. It's considered an emergency if they haven't eaten anything for 12 hours. At the 11 hour mark she had not eaten anything so I took her in to another vet that offered emergency care. She needed critical care syringe feeding, pain medication, and sub cutaneous hydration. I will be writing a second YELP review tonight for them, and it will be 5 stars, instead of 1. These mistakes and miscommunications could have been extremely dangerous.
