I scheduled an appointment for 1 o'clock and they didn't come until 3 o'clock and it only took them an hour. My dog has an autoimmune disorder. I had mentioned that to them. I told her to trim her a little bit and she actually cut her short to the skin. She put the bow too tight. She has been scratching and I know that it's all red. I did not like the way she cut my dogs hair too short close to the skin. I was quoted 129 and she charged me 147. I do not recommend this place. read more

After my Mobile Groomer of 3 years dropped me for no apparent reason, I was on the hunt for a new mobile groomer. Found Houndstooth and called well in advance of my dogs needing to be groomed. I am not sure who I spoke to but she asked me to text her my details and she would get back to me. A week or so went by and I didn't hear from her, and getting nervous I contacted her again via text asking if she was still interested in my 3 dogs. Two need to be groomed one is a small 8 lb short haired chihuahua. Since there were no rates for just bathing on the web site, I asked her how much she would charge. She told me and I agreed on the price. The day of grooming two people showed up, one with his arm in a sling. I told them the price I have been quoted for the chihuahua and the guy starts shaking his head with this "no way" look on his face. I thought that was extremely unprofessional but I said ok well you call and then let me know. They took my doodles to groom and did an awesome job. I absolutely give them credit for grooming my dogs exactly as my old groomer would have. When I asked about my chihuahua they gave me a "discounted" quote well over what was quoted on the phone, so I declined the service. A couple of things I wasn't used to. They hooked up to my hose and my electricity (without even notifying or asking me). My previous mobile groomer was totally independent and self contained. I also noticed a "service" charge on my bill. It sure if that was because I used my credit card or if that is there no matter. Overall I would say I was satisfied with the service provided and the price for my two doodles was very fair. Other than the initial lack of communication, once the appointment was made, I was sent reminders and while I did receive a text saying they were on their way, one that gives an ETA would have been more beneficial as I work from home and am often in meetings, some of which I cannot leave to answer the door. I was expecting them in about 10-15 minutes but they must have been further away as it was a good 50 minutes before they showed up. read more

I was about to make an appointment at Woof Gang yesterday when my sister told me she was having her Cocker groomed and loved her new groomer Allexis. I recently adopted a Yorkie and am new to having a breed that needs trimmed. After consult upon meeting Allexis I explained that I raw feed and really needed Stalla's whiskers and paw fur trimmed back. She said she had an idea and I told her I trusted her. Allexis did such a fantastic job on Stella's new short cut my four other dogs think they have a new house guest. My Boxer is still sniffing and wiggling two hours after the "new" Stella! Very quick response. I texted her after hours last night and this morning a little after 9 am she texted me back that her first client of the day was not answering door or responding to calls. So, she fit me in first thing this morning. I also want to address something on her website that really turned me off since I have a Pit Bull. Her website says "no exception for Pit Bulls or aggressive breeds". In my mind that would be like taking an adopted Caucasian and African American child to a hairdresser and one being denied a haircut based on looks. Well Alexis cleared that right up and explained that her boyfriend built her website and just wanted to keep her safe. Allexis has no breed prejudice. I booked my first time appointment almost a month ago. Our appointment day/time finally came today and I received an email saying Alexie needed to reschedule my 12:30 appointment to 2:30. She didn't show at 2:30 and DID NOT SHOW up at all! I didn't receive a text, no email or anything telling me she wasn't coming or that she had to cancel. I wanted his first shave down before neuter followed by board and train. She looked closely at my photos and kept his face round and legs a tad longer. I reached out to Allexis based on Yelp reviews after learning another Mobile groomer was no longer accepting clients. She responded within an hour and gave me a date the following week for 2 King Charles Cavaliers - perfect. The service was AWESOME. We settled on a time and the day of she texted a few times to give me a good sense of when she would arrive. My dogs LOVED her immediately and she did a FANTASTIC job and texted me in the middle of the process to let me know everything was going well. They are super clean (with my previous groomer it didn't seem they were always getting clean), look fabulous and well groomed and I couldn't be more delighted. She is either way over the top giddy or unfocused and irritable. My dog who she called "ungroomable" has been groomed for 5 years without medication and she's not a biter. So, to you Houndstooth, I say that was rude and inconsiderate - especially since I gave my dog CBD Oil so he'd be calm for you. If you didn't want to come to Fort Worth, you should have just said so.
