Ordered through ubereats and we could not have been more impressed. We had the salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, copperfield roll, Stay at home chicken special and chicken yakisoba. Everything was ridiculously good. The rolls came separately packed from the warm food and they were still a little chill and the warm foods came hot. The stay at home chicken special was incredible- chicken, veggies, fried rice, and salad with ginger dressing. I ordered from this restaurant on DoorDash, and the food was delicious. I ordered the steak hibachi, and the steak was good, vegetables were amazing, and rice was perfect! I also ordered the rock n roll sushi and the taste was okay, but there was barely any crab and was majority rice. Also, it was not sticky enough, and fell apart very easily. What a gem of a place! Such a fun and clean environment that does take out and hibachi style cooking right in front of you! This is my favorite hibachi place is HOUSTON. I have been to many, and I don't just eat zabiha so for al you zabiha only eaters out there, this place is a dub for you because the quality of there meat is unbeatable when compared to the others. I usually get the ribeye and chicken and my wife gets the filet and chicken, both are amazing, both served with fried rice and there house sauce is perfect with the rice and meat. Great show at the hibachi grill, the waiter was extremely lacking however. We had to ask for several things two and there times. Food was delicious though hence the four stars. I love the fact that they had tuna on hibachi menu. We will definitely be back, I loved it. Our first stop was the hibachi place in town center, but they had an hour wait so we came here. The music leaves a lot to be desired; the very first song we heard tonight had the phrase 'bet she doesn't f*&k like me' and had the 'f bomb' a few more times. Disappointing. I can relate to some of the low ratings as we quit coming here a few years ago other than take-out. The hibachi side was too expensive and not very impressive, and the restaurant side was dark and dingy and the seats were worn and dirty. But today when I went to pick up my take out, it looked and felt much nicer. The dirty seats have been replaced and the overall feel of the restaurant side was vastly improved. They told me their next step is to get rid of that huge useless space near the entrance that is never used for anything. Nicer furnishings, nicer lighting, just overall a nicer feeling and we will give dining in another shot. The take out (combo fried rice) was great as always. They always give us some of that white sauce for the rice which we really like. If I'm waiting, they always offer me water or tea. We have never experienced rudeness there from anyone. We were lucky to find this place through yelp! We visited on a Sunday around 3pm (not lunch hour) and unfortunately we had to wait about 30 mins to get seated. Once we got seated the server did a great job on changing our experience. The food was delicious and the chef tried to make us laugh. We were just too hungry to laugh. My sister told me about how good this place's hibachi is, so I had to try it for myself - turned out she wasn't kidding. In my opinion its better than Benihana in terms of quality and affordability. Speaking of the hibachi here, you just cant go wrong with the fried rice and steak. The chicken is pretty good too. Few words of advice: always pick the filet mignon steak over the regular steak! It's just so much more tender and flavorful - but that should be common sense to a steak lover. However, the best thing about having the filet mignon instead of the regular steak here is that both are priced equally (and I'm hoping it stays that way). Be careful though! They run out of it fast. It happened to me once when I convinced my whole family to come try it. We were pissed, but they made it up to us with extra food! I can't forget to mention that our hibachi cook was very friendly, funny and entertaining so we had an overall pleasant dining experience. The next couple of times I skipped out on the hibachi and had the "chicken teriyaki bento box" for dinner, in which they give you a soup appetizer (make sure to get the onion & mushroom one!), followed by your bento box with tender chicken in a delicious teriyaki gravy w/ mushrooms and bean sprouts. Sides include fried rice, salad, fried vegetables, and an egg roll - all this for $10.99+tax!! Ended up here on a total whim. Originally wanted to get Mexican food, but both spots had been permanently SHUT DOWN! So my husband found Bonsai Fusion on Yelp and we were beyond intrigued by the pictures and the fact that the food is halal. We were not disappointed! I ordered combination fried rice which includes beef, chicken, and shrimp. I asked to make it spicy, and it was just perfect. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Steak which comes with steamed vegetables, grilled shrimp, and rice. For dessert we ordered fried ice cream which was great. Our first time here and it ended up being a wonderful family night out. The hostess, Chef, and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive to our entire family. I've been to hibachis that cringe at the sight of tiny children seated at the grill tables, but hey did an outstanding job with both toddlers. The flame show was just the right height to awe and not scare. The Chef spoke with each of them and was very charismatic. My 2yr old was blown away by the train whistle my 4yr old thought the onion volcano lava was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. Even though I have seen this routine (or variations of the same) dozens of times, it was mesmerizing to see it through their eyes. To top it off the food was incredible. I had the Kobe steak hibachi and my husband got the surf & turf filet minion and shrimp. Both steaks were melt in your mouth delicious. Seasoning was on point with everything- the shrimp was epic! Hibachi chef was like most others I've had, similar jokes but still funny... and pretty friendly after he realized that we were THAT annoying family that would order as we ate, 2-3 dishes every 15 minutes when we realized we loved it and wanted more. Drove all the way out to Bonsai from the med center and it didn't disappoint. Came with a group of 10, so we all were seated at one hibachi table. Server took long to take our orders and the hibachi chef took even longer to come out but once the chef came, he was awesome. He did the typical tricks with some added ones I'd never seen before and I've been to many different hibachi restaurants. Portion sizes were good. Prices were decent considering the meat is halal. I came in on a Tuesday night where there was only 3 tables. The waitstaff was super nice. We ordered so many items to try. Chicken fried rice was bland need more pepper and soy sauce. Tako sonimo was missing the ponzu sauce so it was so dry. I had to ask the waiter for it. Bento box had a nice small salad. The tempura was ok. The steak was fair. The price was $22 not really a good deal. I ordered the $15 lobster roll it was maybe 3 stars. The spicy tuna roll was horrible it was missing taste just chili powder. I really think the sushi chef left or something because it was absolutely the worse sushi I ever had. The tuna sashimi was frozen fish and watery it was $6 for two pieces. I love tamago but strangely this one was hot and microwaved???? This was my first trip and the service was great but after spending $80 for two people I think I will pass on this location next time when I drive by. LOVE this place! We like to go when the happy hour menu is available, which is all day during the weekend. During this time the prices are amazing. We have been here three time but today being our most recent visit, I felt like we should finally write a review. Of course the food is AMAZING. But the service is genuinely amazing. The first time we went, we had a gentleman serve us (I think Phu, but I could have that name wrong). He was great and was smiling the entire time. The last and this time we had the same server, the receipt said her name was My. She remembered us immediately from our previous visit and brought out a side of spicy mayo for my boyfriend who had asked for it last time. The fact that she remembered that detail was amazing. She also made kid friendly chopsticks for my boyfriend's 11 year old daughter which was extremely kind of her. My boyfriend and I have agreed to make this a regular spot for us.
