6 piece sushi and roll combo
    Jenny L.

This is my new favorite spot for sushi in Katy! I went in for lunch and opted for the 6 piece sushi and roll combo, which came with assorted nigiri and a salmon roll. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was done perfectly. It was a great deal as well and the quality is superior in comparison to mid-level sushi spots! I appreciate the low key ambiance of this place - music is good and not too loud and the waiters are attentive but not overbearing.

I really love to come here when I'm craving udon. I get the vegetable udon with a side of pork chasu. Be careful when it comes out because it is boiling hot. But when it cools down it's really good! It has that umami flavor that you're looking for. The servers are really nice and sweet, it's always the same two girls I see lol. No lie I was scared trying this place out at first as it's kind of hole in the wall; but it exceeded my expectations immensely of how clean and how good it is. I haven't tried their sushi or their ramen but I will someday! :)

*SUPPORT LOCALS* Small and friendly place. Great food and prices too! Sushi was fresh! What got me was the Shrimp Ramen! Never had "shrimp paste" in japanese ramen before but it actually works!! Such an interesting dish and it tasted GREAT! Oh and they offer free "appetizer" (2 fried cream cheese sticks) and desserts (either green tea ice cream or mint chocolate ice cream) Very friendly staffs!

Though the reviews indicate that this restaurant is known for its sushi, we went there in search of ramen, and were not disappointed in our find. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, the spicy tonkatsu ramen, and the steak ramen with extra garlic. Also, edamame for an appetizer. The service was quick and friendly. We were there about an hour before closing, and it was almost empty. The location of the restaurant is such that I had never seen it before, even having driven past it more than a few times. This may account for the small number of customers we saw, or it could have just been a strange time - 8 PM on a Sunday night. I will be going back soon to try their sushi!

This place was amazing. I came here for an early bday dinner with a friend on Friday evening. They seated us right away. The ambiance is very chill and relax, staff was very friendly. My friend and I ordered several appetizers: baked mussels, hotate butter, and scallops. All of them were amazing, but the mussels by far were my favorite. I also ordered sushi: Mt. Fuji, Angry Roll, and Tiger Eye Roll. It took some time to get our sushi, but it was worth the wait. They served it on a little ship, which I thought was cool. Every roll was well constructed and tasteful. I especially loved their Mt. Fuji. It looked like they were understaffed, but even at that they were still attentive to all the customers. We topped off dinner off with dessert: japanese ice cream red bean flavor was delicious. I would highly recommend this place and definitely plan to go back.

We had the Chirashi and both 3 roll platters for my daughters birthday. Everything was good and came out quickly. Fried cheese rolls were provided as an appetizer for no cost. We always go eat early when we go out, around 4:30-5:00 PM to avoid crowds, so there was only 1 other family eating when we were there. Good food, good service.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon after seeing the great yelp reviews. We both ordered the chicken hibachi lunch special (chicken, fried rice, veggies, miso soup & salad). It was a great amount of food for 10.95. The Hot Papa roll was absolutely amazing!!!!!

NY roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Both were good.

I haven't been here since it reopened and I was pleasantly surprised by the new decor and I enjoyed my meal. I went on an Thursday for an early dinner with my daughter. It was empty, but people started to trickle in as dinner time came around. I like places that do the little extra things for their customers. Here they give you a small fried appetizer(fried cream cheese sticks) and free ice cream at the end of your meal. Today the ice cream was coconut or green tea. My daughter had vegetable udon. It came with a ton of steamed veggies on top. She really only eats the noodles and soup. She ate all her noodles. I wanted something with spicy tuna and notice the NY Roll had spicy tuna and fried soft shelled crab, so gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with my choice and enjoyed all of it. Spicy tuna roll was pretty standard but the portion was pretty big. Everything tasted fresh and came out relatively fast. This isn't a fancy sushi place, but more of your regular local spot with prices that are reasonable. A place I can visit and satisfy a quick sushi craving on this side of town.

Can I give this place 10 stars? My niece and I had a taste for sushi and we tried our best to figure out where we were gonna go and with the help of Yelp, we landed at Miyabi and I am SO HAPPY we did. Upon arrival, we were greeted and there were a few ppl sitting and eating so we chose to stay and eat in. The waitress got to us quickly and she was very very sweet and I wish I had her name to recognize her. My niece had the Tiger Roll which was very good and I had the sexy mama roll *Chefs Kiss*!!! You guys have got to get to this place! I can't wait to get back here!!!

Our go to restaurant for sushi. Staff is always attentive. Tonight we got the Houston Roll and the Crunchy Roll and iced tea. SO delicious! And I love the wasabi alien. Always a free appetizer brought out prior to dinner and offered a scoop of tasty ice cream (complementary) after dinner. We've visited the restaurant many times over the last 10 years and never had a bad experience with staff or food.

Sushi platter in a cute little boat soooo good!! All of it!

Flying V Harvest was fantastic. I drank that broth like I just came out of the Sahara. So good. The Impossible meat fusion is a funny add but a good protein bump. It was a few days ago but I think I'm still full from that ramen bowl. The vibe is modern high ceiling bumping music; my in-laws found it to be too loud. I think they are giving you an excuse to lean in and get a little closer to your companion. The vibe is chic yet also casual so bring whoever you want but this would work for date night. The font on the menus is squint inducing so do your research ahead of time or prepare to spend more time perusing the menu than usual, especially with the dim lighting. They offer thin or thick noodles and can mix some broth options to adjust spice level. Drinks- the smoked in front of your face whiskey is a treat and a show. Solid spot. No regrets. Salivating at the thought of the next visit.

Their ramen is flavorful and solid and their service is consistent. Parking: parking is free in the garage around the corner from JINYA. We went during the week and the garage was not packed. There's also paid street parking around the restaurant that you can find but look for signs to know when you have to pay and when you don't. Service: service here is very good. They have an army of waitresses and waiters who check on tables and we never had to ask for refills or never had to flag down someone. Our food came out in a timely manner. The one thing I will say about service is the appetizers we ordered came out right before our ramen so we had all of our food at one time which was a lot. I wish they would've spaced out the food timing a little more. Ambiance: JINYA has a modern interior and open concept. They have tables, booths, and 2 big community tables in the center of the restaurant. The restaurant playlist is hip and modern. The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit so if you have bad eyesight, get ready to use your flashlight to read the menu. Food: we ordered two ramens and the gyoza and edamame. Gyoza: these were fried well and had a gyoza sauce that came on the table. The wrapper was thin and they were not too oily. We would order this again. Edamame: this was typical edamame. Nothing too special. Would not get this again when we come back. Creamy Classic Tori-Paitian: this is a chicken ramen with wavy noodles that came with fried enoki mushrooms, chicken chasu, butter, spinach and a corn rib. This ramen was rich in flavor and had so many fun, delicious toppings. The corn run was grilled nicely and I wish I had more of them in my bowl. I'm a sucker for enoki mushrooms and this did not disappoint. I took the enoki mushrooms out of the ramen immediately so they didn't get soggy fast and that was the move if you want the mushrooms to stay crunchy. The chicken broth was rich and light which was a great combo. I finished this bowl to the last drop. JINYA Chicken Ramen: my girlfriend got the chicken ramen with a side of bamboo. Warning on the bamboo: the bamboo comes dressed in sesame oil and sole hot oil so they are a little spicy. The chicken ramen broth was once again rich with flavor and light. The chicken chase was good and this ramen comes with thin noodles instead of wavy noodles. Overall JINYA hits the spot when craving ramen or some hot soup on a cold day. The chicken broth is legit and I will be closing back to try the pork broth soon. My only qualm with JINYA is the price at over $17 per bowl of ramen. There are cheaper ramen places but JINYA flavor makes up for the priciness.

However, since crawfish season is one of my favorite times of the year, I had to come back to try their limited edition ramen. Just like my first visit, the staff were extremely friendly, the food came out incredibly quickly, and the overall experience felt comforting and welcoming. I ordered the seasonal bowl, The Crawmen, which came with crawfish tonkotsu broth, andouille sausage, bayou butter, corn, and peppers. While the bowl was clearly inspired by a crawfish boil, I felt like it could have leaned even further into those flavors with more crawfish and a stronger boil seasoning overall. The ramen was definitely delicious, but the broth did not quite have enough crawfish boil flavor to fully separate it from their standard tonkotsu ramen. At times, it mostly tasted like the original broth with andouille sausage added in. Even so, it was still an enjoyable bowl of ramen, though I would probably stick to one of their regular menu options over this seasonal special. My mom and I also shared the Karaage, which arrived very quickly while still being piping hot, crispy, and juicy inside. On the other hand, I would personally skip the Sakura Sweet Tea and Strawberry Yuzu Lemonade in the future since they mostly tasted like their regular counterparts without adding anything particularly unique. Overall, I still really enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and reliable quality of this place, especially the ramen and karaage. While the seasonal bowl did not fully live up to its concept for me, the experience itself was still enjoyable enough that I would gladly return again.

I was seriously tempted to order another plate since it only came with 6-7 pieces. Next, all the ramens came out. I got the shoyu truffle which I enjoyed a lot. I liked that you can taste the truffle flavor without it being overpowering. Also liked that the broth itself wasn't as salty as some ramen places. Noodles were al dente and all the toppings were tasty! Loved that the char sui actually had a good amount of lean meat versus it being mostly fat. They deserve 4.5 stars because come on it's 24/7 ramen. Parking is cool but limited. First impression walking in was that it has this really unique and dope vibe. I love the set up and it was giving spacious. There were cassette tapes aligned on the wall in the booth we sat in, which I thought was very creative. There was Anime characters above the doors when you first walk in, with Anime playing on the TVs at the bar. Oh yeah, THERES A FULL BAR if you ready to get your drink on. Now, off rip the host was annoying. She was kinda rushy and caught an attitude when we asked for a booth. We can't even describe the vibe she gave off fr. It was just BLEH. Our table was clean which is very important to us and our waitress Yasmin was kind and patient with our questions, and dietary substitutions. We ordered the Super Saiyan Nachos as an appetizer for $16. Maaann, these were so delicious!!!!! We actually substituted the pork for shiitake mushrooms and when I tell y'all we were surprised at the portion We both looked at each other like "YAAASSSSSS" Next came our Ramen orders which didn't take long at all. Not that we were counting because we were INDULGED in those nachos LOL Babii rated her Oxtail Ramen a '7/10' for $25. She would've preferred to get shiitake mushrooms because she particularly didn't like the fact that the Oxtails were shredded and not on the bone (which is what we both expected when reading it). She also would've liked if they gave her a spice option since she likes spicy ramen. Unfortunately, we had to purchase a nasty 'Kappa' sauce which was not worth the $1.50. To her the portion size was A1, however we paid for the meat so it wasn't worth the $25. Now, the Vegetable Garden to me was a '8.5/10' it was good, had amazing portion size and they were not lacking in the texture department. I mean, the spinach noodles were delish, vegetable cooked very Al dente. I cannot complain on that part. To me it was missing a bit of flavor, maybe salt would've done the trick. Overall though, it did have the flavor of the mushrooms which wasn't bad. Most importantly though, I felt light after consuming my meal. Therefore, I have to give it all a high rating. GO TRY THIS PLACE OUT, ITS WORTH THE TRY
