Shaggy dog roll and kids chicken Lo-Mein (half eaten)

The shaggy dog roll was so good I had to order a second one! The prices are great, and the kids portion was generous.

I absolutely love this place. I will always recommend it. The workers are so kind. I've been going there for the past year or so and I've loved it. The food isn't that expensive compared to other places. The environment is nice and it's usually neat. I would recommend anyone interested in eating another cuisine.

RAKUU is my go to food for delivery. I have never dined in but have had delivery numerous times. I have had the Vietnamese rolls, spring rolls and egg drop soup. My favorites are the Lomein with shrimp beef and chicken and the lettuce wrapped chicken. Today I had their California roll sushi. There are still many more items to try and I will definitely be trying them out.

The food and customer service is absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in the door SHEILA made my welcome extraordinary. I am very big on greeting a potential customer whether you believe they will order or not I have been here before but never for takeout. Spicy garlic edamame is to die for.... The taste and seasoning is delicious. I never had it before and this is the only place I will eat it. The fresh munched garlic gives an unwavering flavor Lettuce wraps were absolutely delicious and a full.serving. There were 6 pieces of lettuce and I broke those in half and had 12 slices so it was enough. I absolutely would recommend them for all of your healthy needs. My other favorite is the New Orleans rice but I did not order this time because I wanted to eat lightly. I always enjoy my trips to RAKUU. I will be back

I've visited this restaurant many times and often brought friends because I love their sushi rolls, and the sushi chef has always been fun and friendly. Dead sure my previous visit will be my last. I overheard a conversation between an employee and the old waitress who usually serves us, the chinese woman around 65-70 yo while I went to the restroom. She was saying things like how 'Black people are nasty,' how a 'Black woman complained there's a hair in her food to get free food when it's her own hair,' and how 'Black people like to steal.' I was shocked and could not believe what I was hearing. No matter how much I like the food, I cannot support a place where such offensive and racist comments are made. This experience was deeply disturbing and felt like a punch to the gut. I will not be returning.

First time here - loved it. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Pretty decor and settings. The server was working very hard and bussed all tables herself. She did a great job. It wasn't very busy tho - we came on a Sunday @7:30pm. Food was delicious! Great menu with lots of variety but we came specifically for the sushi this time. Next time might try something else. We got the dumplings and egg rolls as an appetizer and The shaggy dog roll and heaven fire roll as our main meal. Dumplings were very tasty and egg rolls were so good and HOT/fresh. We weren't too much of a fan of the sauce that came with the dumplings but we were ok with that because they were good without anything. Both sushi rolls were absolutely fabulous. We will be back!

Mongolian beef with steamed rice did not disappoint, and wifey had the chicken pad Thai which was meh. Altogether, very nice establishment and we will definitely be back!

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

Maybe find some way to mount it on the table. Also, that sweet shrimp is just shrimp, we ordered thinking it was gonna be amaebi.

The weather will do whatever it will, but the menu remains seasonal with old favorites like the diced shrimp tempura (an absolute must), and new favorites. The fact that I could've been eating the broccoli katsu this entire time is absurd, and that white chili aioli can and should go on everything, especially the shrimp tempura. Quality remains consistent across the board and freshness was tasted at first bite of every dish. Service was great! Water was refilled without having to glance around, and though I couldn't get a midori sour today, my modified torched Paloma had the exact level of sweetness I wanted. The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the unagi sushi and that one was okay it tasted like some other sushi rolls I've had. It was good it just didn't stand out. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro. The quality of the fish were tasty it didn't really have any flavors on it so do not expect a flavored fish this is just sashimi.

I had my birthday lunch there a few weeks ago and everything was excellent! I don't know what happened today. We had to repeatedly ask for the dishes we ordered. I even had to get up to find our server. We were there for an hour before the first item we ordered (from the kitchen) arrived at our table! It took so long we had to get it to go. We waited so long to get our shumai that I didn't have time to order my favorite udon. What we did get (2 sushi bar rolls) in a timely manner was excellent (Crazy roll). When my sister finally got her Philly roll she said it was good. My husband got his 2 pieces of kani sushi about 45 minutes in. The restaurant was not crazy busy so the only thing I can figure happened was that the kitchen lost our order. People that came in after us were served long before us (sushi and kitchen orders). Our server told us she gave us a discount ($5) for the issues. (They're having a $5 off special right now for everyone so no real compensation for the bad experience...) With our current financial situation, we are limiting our restaurant meals and to pay $19.99 per person for the three of us was supposed to be a treat. Sadly, it was not. We are severely regretting our decision to stop in for lunch at Sushi 9 today.
