This spot has been on my places to try collection and today I was able to visit. It is located in the Westgreen and Katy freeway center where Orleans seafood and Texas Roadhouse are located. There is an ACYE sushi for lunch that brought me here and they did not disappoint. The lunch is $20.99 per person and there is a 2 hour limit. I ordered several different rolls and they serve one order at a time. The sushi was fresh and made to order. Service was excellent and I was greeted when I left by most of the staff. The servers take orders by the table side. Shaggy and dragon rolls are done well. Rolls are presented and plated well. Other servers are happy to take your order if your main server is busy. Was having a treat yourself day and decided to try this place out on a Sunday. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Was a tad bit too dark for my liking but not a deal breaker. Very calm and relaxing. For the weekend all you eat $23.99 deal, I ordered a miso soup, cucumber salad, crunch roll, summer roll, lion king roll and a sunshine roll. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I struggled to finish the last two rolls. Ended up leaving 3 pieces on my plate. The miso was flavorful but I wish it was hotter in temperature. Cucumber salad was fresh but I didn't care for the imitation crab in it. Crunch roll is a classic and didn't disappoint. Summer roll was my favorite, with the sweet potato, jalapeño, avocado and eel sauce. Lion king wasn't for me, I think it being completely fried was too much. You also have people who randomly just stop in the road for no reason, and motorcycles who come out of no where to park on the sidewalk. As we walked to the restaurant, I was really hoping this restaurant was worth it. Let me just say, it was. The staff was super nice. The sushi tasted wonderful for an AYCE place. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, too. It had a relaxing vibe, and the place wasn't pretentious either. We have to come back to Katy in a few weeks, and we are already planning to come back here and eat. Amazing AYCE sushi place! I visited with a big group of family members and the restaurant was very accommodating, servers were attentive and nice as well. The menu is pretty extensive and I was impressed that hibachi was an option along with the sushi. I had the ebi (shrimp) sushi first - it was really fresh and it's a classic for me. I tried the shaggy dog and black dragon rolls which were both delicious! We tried the shrimp & chicken tempura, steak hibachi, fried noodles, gyoza, and shu mai as well. Everything I had there was really delicious other than the fried cheesecake - wouldn't recommend that. Their green tea ice cream is the best though so that makes up for it! Give this place a try! For about $30 AYCE dinner this place is not bad. The sashimi slices are thick and each of the appetizers or hot items come out in small, manageable portions so you have room to try other things. The nigiri pieces were a decent size, a bit too much rice in my opinion and the sushi rice itself was ok. The tuna pieces tasted a little odd when I had them, but this is an ayce place so getting low quality tuna isn't a surprise. Salmon, yellowtail, and white tuna tasted fine and fresh. I came here for a weekend lunch buffet, while the rest in my party had a la carte from the lunch menu. The buffet menu has limited food options. From the buffet menu, I ordered the gyozas, vegetable noodles, age tofu, teriyaki tofu, tuna sushi, salmon sushi, eel sushi, spicy salmon roll, tiger eye roll, eel avocado roll, and green tea ice cream. The gyozas were standard frozen dumplings so they tasted normal. The age tofu was a big disappointment. The small amount of sauce given with the tofu was not good, and the tofu tasted bleh. The teriyaki tofu was slightly better because of the sauce. The sushi were ok. The rolls were ok except for the spicy salmon roll. It wasn't spicy at all. The noodles were tasteless. The green tea ice cream was the worst. There was no green tea flavor at all despite the rich green color. For the food I ordered, sushi was the saving grace. From the a la carte menu, my party had the chicken katsu. The chicken katsu didn't taste and look like real chicken meat. It was hard to eat. Though the service was great, I wouldn't be back because of the low food quality. read more

Lunch is around $20 and you can choose from a variety of handrolls, appetizers, rolls, and sushi pieces as well as dessert. The tuna sushi was really fresh and my husband enjoyed the salmon. The service is very friendly and accomodating. The rolls come out fast so you don't need to load up on your orders right away. They do charge for children 3 and under which is a little surprising! Thick, fresh, beautiful slices of fish. The sushi rolls, as you can see, bore the thinnest layer of rice I've ever seen at an AYCE, stuffed with protein and other toppings. Please get the Sweet Dream roll which has sweet potato and spicy salmon, it will change your life. What I mean is that for an all you can eat lunch of sushi for less than $21, you really shouldn't expect much, but this was pretty good and much better than I expected. This place is located on the Katy freeway at Westgreen in a busy shopping center that shares a parking lot with Texas Roadhouse and other eateries and had a nice interior with quick service. I enjoyed the cowboy roll, the miso soup, the imitation crab salad and the tuna Taki among other items and honestly, I'll be back there next week for another round to discover other menu items. First, of course the food: -I never truly had any sort of comment for miso soup, or tempura batter being used, since I primarily focus on making sure it comes out hot and fresh fish but this is the only place that actually made me appreciate these tiny details. -I am obviously a salmon lover and the fish:rice ratio was perfect!!! It wasn't too small nor too big, and this place got it down for the rice ratio, even for the rolls. A lot of AYCE packs in rice to make you fuller but this experience gave you that satisfaction that they weren't just cheaping out. -appetizers were all good but the pepper tuna was coated perfectly with the pepper. Good quality fish definitely used here. In regards of service, we can in during the lunch time so it was slow however, I noticed that the servers just knew when you needed a refill, napkins, and knew when to come by. As a previous server, timing is everything so they brought it all out nicely. The place itself isn't too fancy but it's cozy! I love the decorations, and although it was small, it was decent.
