I've been wanting to try Taizzi Sushi and was excited to see that they opened up a location near my workplace. At $20 for AYCE lunch, I had to try it. I ordered way too much food and felt like crap going back to work. Some dishes came out earlier than others so I thought they forgot. I thought the cream cheese and some of the fish tasted like a cheap/imitation and some of the sauces were strange. Service could be improved. My server gave me a tablet to order from later on. Overall, they offer a good variety of dishes at a decent price. Not the best AYCE in town, but it's ok for the area. read more

My new favorite AYCE spot! The sushi is fresh, great variety of nigiri, rolls, and they are happy to modify rolls if needed. They also have a lot of other delicous appetizers, hot dishes and desserts! Honestly, some places with large menus scare me because quality is lacking but I came in with a large group for my birthday and we all were impressed by the quality of the food. The staff was super nice and took great care of us. The owner came by to chat and even gifted me a utensil set for my birthday. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good AYCE spot with a great array of sushi and other dishes. read more

Solid AYCE Sushi in the Neighborhood! Stumbled on this place while heading to Bath & Body Works next door, surprisingly good! I came around 1:30 PM after lunch, had the place to myself, and the server was super nice and attentive. Went with the dinner AYCE to get sashimi and more variety than lunch offers. Totally worth the price. As for the people saying they'd rather go to Oma. Yeah, Oma is good, but it's all the way out in Sugar Land. Ain't nobody driving that far when you've got this spot right here. :) read more

North-side of Houston finally has Taizzi! We went a week after soft opening and food was great, service was excellent! Also really cool how we got to meet and talk to the owner of Taizzi and actually got to know more about his future business openings (cannot wait for him to announce!). To be honest, we only got to know about Taizzi just about 4 weeks ago when we went to their Katy mills location, then we went to their Memorial location last weekend, and now 290. This specific location is also similar in some aspects but different in many compared to the other two. PROS: - price: lunch and dinner are both a few dollars less compared to katy and memorial (cons listed below) - thick cuts of sashimi - nice big portions - fish to rice ratio is perfect - lots of parking outside CONS - no tablet system to order self leisurely (he said they are still fairly new so the chefs have a hard time keeping up, so maybe they might implement later?) - drinks aren't included in AYCE price here (however this can also be a pro as the price reflects this) - a little dark, and menu is a little hard to see as the background is dark as well (forgot to snap a pic) - next door is nail salon, so if you are sensitive to smells, you may feel a little nauseous My pros definitely overpowers the cons, therefore it's still a 5/5. Service was honestly great, and we really liked how we were checked on so often. My cousin had asked for just a half cup refill on his diet coke, and he was given a to-go of it. FYI, If you use a stamp card; better use it up quick as they will be importing a new system soon! Tai was so generous to still give me my stamps even though he said that they will be ending it in the near months but I guess hearing how often my cousin and I go to his memorial location, he signed it anyways, HAHA! read more

Food is delicious, customer service is great but sometimes the wait can be a bit long, we personally don't mind it because the food is worth it, out go to is chicken tempura and non-spicy Korean ramen and mango mochi. read more

The two stars is only for the food which was decent. But that was the worst service we've ever had. When we first came in the vibe was atrocious, it had a small but decent amount of groups. Still it was completely quiet. Soon we would find out everyone was probably hangry from waiting for their food. It took us 20 minutes to get some salad and a whole hour for any fish to come out (a plate of 3 sashimi slices). A whole other group sat down, ordered and left after no food came the whole 2ish hours we were there. Apparently their order system was down, but we didn't find out until an hour in when all the scrambling started. I could go on about our first waiter. Maybe because he seemed pretty young, but dude was just mumbling and staring blankly most of the time. Dude truly embodied the gen z stare. It was so hard to get a hold of him too, at some point he was flirting with the doordasher!!! Eventually another waiter came to help us, and finally explained that their system was down. I felt bad for him because it felt like he was making up for his coworker who bumbled around and even bumped into him pretty hard. It's such a shame because the other taizzi location in katy was great but wow this location was the worst. read more

I have NEVER felt so disrespected in a restaurant before!!!! If I could give them a zero I would. We waiting over 30 minutes to get all you can eat sushi. My friends got all of their food before mine ever came out! Other people came in and got served right away. My son didn't get to eat anything because it took so long! I refused to pay the whole bill! Taizzi has solid sushi for the price! The service was attentive, and our server was really nice. If you do the AYCE option, they'll have you download their app and sign up to connect to a tablet. You get to keep the tablet at your table, which makes ordering super easy -- everything included in the AYCE is marked as $0. You can even choose how thick you want your sashimi sliced! They also offer à la carte options if you don't want to go all in on the AYCE. The restaurant isn't too busy or loud yet since they're still relatively new, which makes for a nice, relaxed dining experience. Overall, great value for the quality and amount of food. read more

I came for the all you can eat lunch deal. The special rolls come out in 4 pieces, so it's nice getting to try multiple rolls without having to worry about getting full on one. You can come here if you want to wait over an hour for 4 slices, not rolls of sushi... if I could give it a 0 star I would. It's ridiculous for the wait time. Food is ok, but service is slow, at least 20 mins for food to arrive between orders. They even manage to screw up the orders, just ate it anyway coz it will be another 20-30 mins wait for the next one to arrive. They hire sloths and turtles as kitchen staff and servers. We tried the new Taizzi location near Fairbanks and so glad we did. The quality of food and service was great. The sushi tasted very fresh and was very well prepared.
