Was visiting the nearby Corner Pantry and spotted this bakery so went in to sample a couple of items. The almond croissant was excellent and so was the puff cheese pastry. Actually, the almond croissant may be the best I've ever had! read more

I just had an almond croissant that melted in my mouth. Best thing ever. Got a vanilla latte too. Not super strong but nicer than one from Starbucks for sure. Service was a little snippy but that's okay. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Great place! The coffee, food, and pastries selection is large. The place is small and always packed and you can always find delicious to eat. I needed a cake, of course at the very last moment, and sure enough they had what I needed. read more

Bonjour - Bakeries Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Whether it's to get over a hangover, or to find something to eat before I create a hangover Bonjour is a wonderful place. I like sitting at the back table with an iced coffee in hand, staring at the passing world thinking, "Maybe I shouldn't drink so much." The chocolate filled almond croissants really do wash out the taste of last night's three-glasses-too-many of Chateneuf du Pape, or the "Sweet Jesus I drank ALL the of the Petit Syrah by myself?! What the hell was I thinking?! How the hell did I get home?! Where's my car?! Oh...wait...It's outside. Right. Pat drove me home. He drank at least half the bottle. Christ, I'm a lightweight. Thank God for this chocolate croissant." The savory dishes are really better suited for trying to get rid of white wine flavors of Gruner Weltliner, or, more preferably, white French Bourdeaux. Try the ham and cheese croissant for this with both berry preserve and dijon side spreads. But don't think this place is just for hungover wine snobs. I've been suffering from everything from margarita to Natty Boh sickness and this was just the ticket to cure all that ailed me...except for the developing alcoholism. I have peanut butter cookies for that. read more

This is a wonderful neighborhood business. Service is wonderfully warm and generous and the owner is committed to having relationships with commmunity members which means so much. Everything in the refrigerator case is exceptional. The quiche is scrumptious and rich and the cakes, eclairs and tarts are just so good. I find some of the more American laminated pastries (like the raspberry twist) to be overly sweet but the French staples are right on point. The coffee is regulation tasty. The space is a little problematic for me but the service largely makes up for it. The metal folding chairs are very uncomfortable and the room is often warmer than I would like - nothing dealbreaking, it just means I mostly get carry-out. I hope Bonjour is always around. read more

I love this place. It became the spot for coffee whenever I want to meet up with a friend. Their sandwiches are good and the sweets as well. I'd say the cake are pricey but they are definitely a treat and worth the extra every now and then. I love the mousse, the cheesecake, eclair, almond croissants .. read more

It was a friend's birthday so we stopped in ( not the first time). Had mocha lattes which were delicious. Also the espresso tuxedo cake was excellent and a fruit tart which was perfect. The counter person was very kind and courteous. It was a terrific visit. Definitely will keep coming back to try different desserts. read more

What a fantastic little spot. You can't miss this place it's colored pink/purple. This small pastry shop has only a few tables inside but it does not disappoint. They always have a great selection of pastries but the croissants are to die for. I always try a cookie or something different each time I'm here but I keep going to that. The coffee is also good here. As with any pastry shop, I think the earlier you go the better and fresher everything is. read more

Just love this gem of a spot. It is croissant heaven right here in Baltimore. Started my birthday off right today with a warm spinach & cheese croissant & the most delicious cappuccino I think I've ever had. It can be a tad pricey, for sure, but for an occasional special treat it is totally worth it. (Staff is always super pleasant to boot. Definitely adds to my high rating of this place.) read more

Bonjour - This is how to start your birthday off right! - Bakeries Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Right off of Falls road, this is an adorable little bakery. When I say little, I mean tiny. I think there's maybe 3-5 small tables and it didn't seem as if anyone was sitting around. I think of Boujour when I need to pick up a little pick me up, as a small gift for a friend, or when I need to pick up a birthday cake for friends! When I stopped in to grab a birthday cake, the woman behind the counter was so helpful and pointed out cakes that she thought my friend would like. Based on her recommendations, I grabbed a chocolate mousse cake which was delicious. On another day, someone brought in a delicious French apple tart to work-- of course it was from Bonjour! Their macarons were the best macarons I've had in Baltimore! I've recommended Bonjour to a couple of different friends, and I don't think they've disappointed anyone yet. Absolutely delicious! read more

My daughter celebrated her 18th birthday with two of her favorite desserts, Bonjour's cheesecake with the chocolate puddle and macarons. As always, both were amazing! Light and fluffy cheesecake with perfect texture and taste. Crispy macaron in delicious flavors. Tres, tres bien! Merci! read more

I give this place 5 stars for the quality of the french pastries. They are very authentic! Clearly they make them right; with real butter. I don't really like their coffee and they don't offer things like breakfast bagel sandwiches, which is too bad for the commuter in the morning. read more

I should be ashamed that I haven't been here sooner. Beautiful, quiet cafe with a tremendous pastry and dessert selection. read more

Bonjour - Bakeries Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

This place is definitely out of the way for most of my routine activities, but when I get a hankering, I need to come get a pastry. I'm a sucker for that swirly pastry with raisins and custard in the middle (which probably has a lovely french name which I have never been aware of, I just point to it and say "this please"). That and a cup of snickerdoodle coffee and I'm a happy kid. read more

I wish the staff were more friendly. They seemed and sounded annoyed for asking pastries flavors . If you don't want to deal with customers, make some signs so you won't be annoyed!! I don't think this is how I want to start my day with some sour attitude and won't be back for sure. There are plenty of other cafe around RP area and not spending my money here. read more

We went here after we ate breakfast... Big mistake!! Should of just skipped breakfast and had delicious pastries!! Also, I went with my sister and she gave her card to pay... Me "I will give you a horrible review on yelp if you take her card" so here I am! Dreamy, delicious, heavenly read more

I am appalled by the lack of hospitality at Bonjour. First off, the owner was in an irritable mood. When I asked what some of the desserts are because oh I don't know IM NOT A PASTRY CHEF it was like she expected me to know and was less than happy to simply say the names of the desserts. Then when we good our food, other members of my group realized that they had ordered one croissant and one quiche but received two croissants. That's not a huge problem but the way that the woman acted when discussing the problem was not very nice to say the least. Fast forward to after we eat the food, which was nothing above average, we are getting ready to leave. As we are about to step out, the woman asks if we payed. This is so weird because she saw the other woman at the counter swiping the credit card to pay for our food. Basically, the women who owns the cafe was so rude to our group, just because we are not Caucasian. read more

We didn't know there is this excellent French bakery until my husband's advisor bought our wedding cake from here. And I didn't know they also have excellent croissants! I've tried their chocolate and almond croissants, so tasty! The only down part is sometimes we bought too much and the croissants didn't taste as good after a couple of days :-( But please please try their fresh ones, will blow your mind. It is great that they never make things too sweet like in typical American dessert place. And all their desserts have artistic tastes, rich flavors. You can choose to dine in, sitting in one of their little Parisian chairs or their outdoor porch, have a cup of coffee and a croissant... However, we never figured out the price for each item, I wish they could have a menu or price list somewhere; every time we just got a total and sometimes it can be a little bit pricey. But anyway, we love this little place a lot and will keep coming back. read more

Best french food at a great price. My father used to come here everyday to pick up food for me before picking me up from school. The carved ham and cheese croissants are unforgettable and so delicious. Extremely nice people who run this place! A taste of France in Baltimore! read more

I'd return but only because the location is the perfect meeting spot and their coffee is fine but the service is definitely not good (rude, actually) and I'm not sure the pastry chef has visited France. Upsetting to know anyone worth their salt in the pastry world would think it's okay to paint the inside of a fruit tart with cheap chocolate. Remember La Madeleine? The chain "French pastry" shop? Pastries a little worse than that. Better than a Giant Grocery Store, but worse than everywhere else decent. They microwave their mushroom quiches in front of the customers until they're watery and think that's acceptable. Basically, not for anyone who's traveled out of Baltimore (though Baltimore does have one great pastry place: Patiserrie Poupon and the prices are the same as this place which is baffling)! Save your money and go to Patisserie Poupon (near the shot tower in Baltimore City). read more

Stale croissant, watery coffee, rude staff. Tossed the food immediately. Even Starbucks warms its food now...

the yelp map on the right has the location in TOTALLY the wrong place. This is located on Falls Rd and the corner of Lake Avenue. About 5 minutes north of the Northern Parkway exit off I-83. Outstanding breads and croissants. Food is baked by an actual French baker who's been doing it for as long as i can recall. Coffee is pretty good here too. Everything's a bit pricey, but delicious! Parking's on the street, but i've never had problems parking in all these years. read more

I love this place! They have some of the best baked goods in the city.

As Rachael Ray would say YUMMO! Not my favorite French bakery in Baltimore, but this does come second. Their pastries are baked off site, but delivered fresh daily. The coffee is also good. Their bread is decent, but you have to get there earlier to get your hands on some. It sells quick! They have a few chairs and tables to mellow out at. The pastries are cute and very yummy. read more

Ommmmg this place is amazing!!! Definitely a hidden gem! You pull up to a beautiful pink and purple building. You can park right out front or on the side ! Love the neighborhood! When you first walk up you have the option of sitting outside, which nice for conversation or to read a book! As soon as you open the door your embrace with the wonderful smell of fresh pastries and I was greeted by the owner! She was so friendly and welcoming. When I told her it was my first time she gave me some history, they had been there for 19years!!!There was no menu but that's okay because the owner described everything with detailed! She asked what I had a taste for, I said everything lols. The setting in the place was so cozy, I'll be back to sit and read book or just to clear my head. The croissant was so buttery and flaky!!! Yummmmm ohhhh and the strawberry shortcake which was a personal one! You talk about moist and favorable !! The strawberries were so fresh!!! I can't wait to go back!!!! read more

This place is great. I go to Bonjour for their pastries, cookies and haute dogs. The Haute dogs are made fresh and the service is quick, friendly and always on par. Their spicy dogs are delicious. When I get a cinnamon roll from the bakery, they are always fresh, sweet and delicious. I may see if they can warm it up a little next time? I also bought cookies here for friends and they like Bonjour's chocolate chip cookies. In terms of the service, it is good. I had some uneven experiences depending on when I went but that has not deterred me from coming back. The atmosphere is quiet (usually) and quaint. When I sit down, I sometimes forget that busy Falls Rd is behind me. I can imagine we are in a much less busier, small French town in the cafe. I have yet to try their cakes but they look amazing. Until next time! read more

I've been stopping in here a bit more lately and I have to say, it keeps getting better and better. The service is really wonderful. My daughter tripped and fell right outside this morning and the lady behind the counter rushed out to bring her a cookie. Even though I ended up eating it... it was a very sweet gesture. Aside from the lovely service, everything you order is absolutely delicious and fresh and wonderful. read more

Best atmosphere in a coffee shop around here. Looks more European than Baltimore. Finally!

My mom stopped in and got me some fabulous, delicious treats. I tried the pear tart, the cinnamon Danish, an almond croissant and a sticky bun. yum yum yum. i'm definitely going back. read more

This place used to be a lovely place to meet for coffee and a pastry, but judging by my most recent experience either the staff has changed and/or it is under new ownership. The pastry is still good, but the service has gone down hill. The current staff is unpleasant to deal with, and the rules have changed - the nook in the back is now "three or more only," per the sign. even when the store is empty we are told that a party of two must not sit there. Also, there used to be free refills of plain coffee, but this is no longer the case. I think you will find that other recent posts agree with this assessment. read more

Very cute cafe. I have tried multiple pastries from this cafe and have been happy with all of then from the mini mango cake to the almond croissants. read more

What a hidden gem! There was an abundance of parking out front and on the side of the building and set in a very lovely neighborhood. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and the smell of fresh french-style pastries. There was no menu board, but being a direct person, I stated that this was my first time in the shop and didn't know what they offered for food and beverages. The young woman was helpful and explained to me all the different styles of coffees they could make and what was popular. They even have almond milk for a milk substitute for my latte, so I was overcome with joy! While the cafe is quite small, it is quaint, comfortable, and a perfect stop on the way to or out of town. I plan to stop through here again whenever I get the chance! read more

This place was fantastic. We got coffee and pastries. Not only was the service friendly, but the pastries were absolutely fantastic. I got a sticky bun and my boyfriend got a croissant. Highly recommended. read more

Now, one of my favorite coffee shops in Baltimore! Friendly staff, great coffee and absolutely delicious desserts, freshly baked goods, quiches and free WIFI. It's such a relaxing, cute, quaint place to go and enjoy a little French ambience in Baltimore. read more

This place feels like stepping into a neighborhood boulangerie-patisserie in France. Beautiful pastries in a cozy cafe where display cases and baskets brim with a wide selection of pastries & quiches. My apricot tart was very good and was my favorite purchase on a recent trip here. In a city where bakeries must compete with the heavenly standard of Bonaparte Breads and Patisserie Poupon, Bonjour Bakery's pain chocolat and butter croissant are good, but...Bonaparte still holds the record for flakiest, most buttery, and outstanding croissants, for me. The quiche is your standard good, towering, satisfying quiche. And if you're a sticky bun fan, this one makes thick ropes of honey between your plate and your hand as you lift the treat of beautifully toasted pecans tumbling over golden pastry towards you. Yes, there is definitely pretty presentation here, too! Bon apetit! read more

The most amazing pastries!! The sweet cheese' strawberry shortcake and the muffins are heavenly. It's dreamy good! They have a Gluten free chocolate cake that's so good too. Authentic French baked goods. And family owned. The manager that opens is the nicest and will tell you all the descriptions. read more

I really love the great baked treats! Everything they bake is fantastic- they have whole wheat croissants that are out of this world.

I visited this cute bakery today in search of macarons for a wedding. After taste testing at three other bakeries in Baltimore and surrounding area, I can honestly say these are the best. Bethany and Mika were very accommodating, inviting, and super helpful. I can't wait for our guests to taste these amazing treats. Treat yourself! read more
