My boyfriend and I were just here and The food was excellent, but right before we got our check we both were feeling sick :/ he had something with shrimp and I had cod... we both have been quite sick and nauseous after leaving. Before we left tho I overheard someone else saying that their shrimp wasn't agreeing with them :/ My parents have been going here for years and haven't had any issues. Perhaps it was just an off night. But I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Loved the Cod Picatta special and the Winter White Cosmos cocktail. The angled glass my husband's Smoked Old Fashioned was served in was a bit awkward. He said he first thought he was having a stroke or something when looking at the glass. All in all another enjoyable meal. read more

Have wanted to try this place for some time now and I'm so glad we did. From the ambience, to their famous appetizer (Bang Bang Shrimp), to their entree, all went superb. The house salad with citrus vinegarette is not so disappointing, yet I can care less for. Desert isn't close to being the best but wasn't bad. Service...(Thank you Britney A. for being just the way a service expediter should be. And that's coming from 2 former servers!). Service was just the way service should be! The overall experience makes Bonefish Grill suitable for the 5-star rating. Let's hope it never goes down. Will definitely be back! Chow! read more

Just got door dash with street taco order. Absolutely fantastic!! Very tangy and tasty sauce in the shrimp. Cole slaw was very good as a side and it even came with a full side of bread and olive oil. Will def visit in person as this is some great food and needs to be done in person. read more

Absolutely incredible. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer is something you'll tell your friends about. The shrimp tacos were equally impressive. My wife has the seared tuna bowl, which she said was amazing. I highly recommend this place. You'll love it. Great service too, and a very nice atmosphere. read more

I had the bang bang shrimp, which I hear is really good normally. This time wasn't fully covered, and the sauce tasted more so like mayonnaise with a hint of flavor. We ordered two lemon drops and they tasted like pure triple sec with a hint of simple syrup and a lemon peel. we decided not to move forward with entree because the drinks and appetizers were underpar. Other than that it was very clean! read more

Surprisingly easy to get into on Easter Sunday! It was my first time at Bonefish Grill. Our experience was hot and cold right from the start. We were pleased it wasn't as crazy as some of the other restos over the holiday weekend, so that was certainly nice. The host that answered the phone was polite and confirmed there were tables open, no need to rush too much. When we arrived we were greeted right away, but only in a perfunctory manner. Our server was only sufficient, to say they lacked personality would be giving too much credit. Monotone voice, no eye contact. However, their timing was good, we never waited for anything. It was still a little off putting. Now for the food! We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp, which we enjoyed very much. For entrees, I had the Chilean Sea Bass with Lemon Butter. Just delectable, flaky, seasoned just right, and the taste was smooth. The husband had a combination plate of Salmon Filet and Crab Cakes. I love crab, but not a fan of crab cakes. However, these crab cakes were excellent and the seasoning was unique, different than other crab cakes I've had. These are literally the only ones I've ever liked. Our little boy ate from our plates and was enthusiastic about everything he sampled. A glowing review for a one-year-old toddler! All in all, we a nice Easter dinner here. The food was tasty enough that we will go back and hope the service improves. read more

Excellent lunch and service today. We had the bang bang shrimp tacos, stuffed cod, and cheesecake! Everything was great I hadn't been to bonefish I'm years but will definitely return soon! read more

Wow!!! I have not eaten at Bonefish Grill for about 10 years. Went there tonight with a friend and was absolutely delighted by our experience! The food was delicious and the house salad was as yummy as I remembered! We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the only thing I would change was that the tuna used to be served on an Asian blend- tonight it was served on iceberg blend- fresh but somewhat mediocre. (I'm just not a big iceberg lettuce fan). The wasabi was delicious and the tuna was super fresh and perfectly seared. My friend had the Hawaiian style shrimp with risotto for her main course and loved it! I had the 6oz filet which was PERFECTLY cooked medium rare! My sides were the garlic mashed potatoes and the asparagus- both yummy and perfectly cooked and heated. I was just super impressed at how good the food was and wondered why I hadn't been there for so long. Dessert was the coconut cake which was served warm and super flavorful. Our waitress was great as well. Will not wait so long to retain! read more

My meal was amazing!! Watermelon martini with a skewer of frozen watermelon-love, warm ciabatta bread with pesto and Olive oil-yum,calamari-delicious . My asparagus was cooked perfectly with a crunch, but my swordfish was AMAZING!!! It absolutely melted in my mouth, juicy and FULLL of flavor. We had a wonderful waiter Jeremiah who was very helpful. Went here for my birthday dinner with my family on a Sunday evening.I love the ambiance of the restaurant. The lighting was just right. Nice enough for a romantic dinner. We were greeted by the waitress that was professionally dressed. She explained the menu well along with the nights recommendations. I started off with a Rose' Champagne. It was served with a flute wine glass and a mini bottle of champagne for $(11). I was able to pour two drinks which was perfect. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp($10) for the appetizer of course. It was served with complimentary bread and garlic oil. For dinner I ordered Grilled scallops and shrimp with potato mash and broccoli ($20). The food was good. The scallops were a bit over cooked which made them chewy but everything else was great. You could tell they used a fire grill. I received a free piece of cheesecake since it was my birthday yay!!!! Y'all know how I am about anything free!!!!! So that put the icing on the cake. With the restaurant being crowed I appreciated not being rushed to leave since my family and I stayed for several hours talking and catching up. This place is great for dates , and or meetings. I paid roughly $42 not including tax or tip. They are pretty popular so I would recommend making reservations but don't fret about the parking. They have complimentary valet parking. read more

We had not been to a Bonefish grill in years. I had the lobster and crab cake and it was amazing. The sauteed spinach was cooked just the way I like it. My husband ordered the fish and chips. The portion was generous and he ate every bite. The service was excellent. If we travel to Indianapolis again we will definitely eat there. read more

I've eaten here twice. I will say the atmosphere is nice and the service is great. The first time I went the food was great. The second time it was ok I think the main problem was it was lukewarm and they weren't busy and that ticked me off. But it still is a good place I have chocked the experience to just a mediocre cook that night. If you like seafood they have some wonderful dishes. read more

Last night I enjoyed dinner with my friend. We had a wonderful waiter who was very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. We ordered the perfect pairing meals. I'm not sure how I have not written a review for Bonefish yet?? That's just plain crazy! Three words. Bang Bang Shrimp. Just get it, and you may be expected to share it, which is a shame. I mean, it's plenty to share, but you will not want to. I always end up getting the same thing! Shrimp and scallops, but sometimes I change up the sauce... lemon butter is my stand by. They do bring bread to the table, but I don't partake so I can fill up on the BBS! They offer splits of bubbles, which is also meant to be shared, but in keeping with being selfish, I drank both glasses. I mean, it was my birthday dinner!! LOL Service is always great here as well. I do recommend making a reservation, which you can do by calling them or via their website. They also offer valet parking for those times when the Indiana weather is dreadful! read more

The service was very very good. The location and ambiance is also good. Their drinks are good. The food is very mediocre. One person in our party had cod w a special topping. It was flaky and fresh tasting A+, our calamari appetizer was acceptable. The portion a touch small, several pepper pieces thrown in- and while also acceptable I was paying for calamari . And the batter a touch heavy and dry. And the calamari itself a leaned tword rubbery. My husband and I split shrimp mahi mahi combo and ordered a bowl of soup. The soup was warm ish and our food came before our soup and we got a cup instead of a bowl. I would not reorder , it almost had a slight Cajun background spice. Our shrimp and mahi both arrived overcooked and dry. And our upgraded creamed spinach was weird w cold brown small breadcrumbs on top and very recooked tasting. Their white sauce was off putting both in the clam chowder and creamed spinach. I have had better meals here in the past but this was a very meh dinner. We ate early on a Friday about 5:30 and the restaurant was not busy or understaffed. But something was off in the kitchen. read more

Update: I used to love Bonefish but lately they have really been slacking. On our most recent visit this past Sunday we ordered their 2 for $55 dinner special and paid an extra $10 so that we both could order the Lobster Imperial. It looked great until my husband cut into his lobster and realized that the entire middle and bottom were so undercooked that it almost looked raw. The manager had the dish remade and it still was undercooked... one part was even slimy. The manager apologized and stated that she educated the cooks on the importance of cooking the lobster throughout; but, at that point we were frustrated. My husband was so disgusted and refused to order anything else after they served him undercooked lobster twice! She did take his food off of our bill but it still doesn't change the fact that our dinner date was ruined. There have been issues the last couple of times but this was the icing on the cake ! read more

Bonefish is my favorite restaurant right now. I get what I want and enjoy the food, the ambiance and the usually great service.

Nice neighborhood resturant, friendly staff, the GM is fantastic. The food is very good, and is hot when it get`s to the table. It was clean, inside and outside. Plenty of parking and curbside too. It`s one of our favorite places to have lunch or dinner. Our grandson loves BF, his favorite is Salmon, Steak and bread with peso oil. He is 4 years old and he wants to have his birthday dinner there. 5 out of 5 stars. read more

The food was excellent, the restrooms were clean and even smelled pleasant, and they had multiple hand sanitizer locations and kept the tables distanced. I would have given five stars, however, our waitress had a very abrasive attitude and made me feel like I was wrong for being there. I would shrug it off if they were busy, however, there were only three other tables at the time and they had just opened for lunch. read more

I'm big on customer service. Not just "have a nice day" service, but "how can I make this experience superior" type of service, and I feel like I experienced that tonight at dinner. I typically suggest that we dine at local restaurants but when the baby brother, first year college student requests a restaurant when he comes home, we kinda spoil him and go with what he wants. I looked over the salad section of the menu and thought, "eh" then looked at the bowls and figured I'd order something with rice that I could pick the meat out of with a house salad on the side. When my salad arrived I was ready to dig in to mow down the hearts of palm. As a poked my fork to my salad I saw something move. And another something move. Yup, my delicious salad had crawly friends hiding inside. I was calm when I showed my server, she had clearly never seen gnats that loved salad the way they did. The server had the manager come out to see me and apologize for my salad harboring critters then he offered to make me another. Knowing what I know about gnats I felt like I would just set myself up for another gnat salad and declined the offer. I let him know that the soup option was a no go because there weren't any meatless options. Here's where the magic happened...He asked if I was vegetarian or if I was vegan. I told him I was vegan and he described something amazing that he could make that was not anything I had seen in the menu. I went for it. And I'm glad I did. I had a tuna rice bowl without the tuna that was loaded with a passion fruit pico, broccoli and asparagus on top of rice. I was very pleased. The wait staff was very patient there. The only reason I wouldn't give this review a 5 star is that I wanted better vegan options. read more

We've found the food consistently good at Bonefish. We ordered four dishes: coconut shrimp with corn/crab chowder, steak, blackened fish tacos and the red fish special. Everything was delicious. I took my friend out for her birthday. We had the bang bang shrimp which was real good and my friend said her salmon was very tasty. I paid cash and the waiter did not ask if I wanted change and never came back with it. I had to ask. I have no problem tipping 20%, but to assume I was going to tip 40% is presumptuous. Okay, I've figured out the secret of Bonefish Grill, and I can say now that I'm very impressed. And now, I'm imparting the knowledge to you. Are you ready? APPETIZERS AND DRINKS ONLY, MY FRIENDS. Don't waste your time with the entrees. Sit in the bar, order yourself some ahi tuna (but tell 'em to take it easy with the sauce), some Bang-Bang Shrimp (still the best) and maybe a cup of corn chowder with lump crab (delicious!). Wash it down with a watermelon and cucumber-infused vodka martini, or perhaps a Bee's Knees (honey, lemon, gin and muddled basil). It's still expensive ($52 for two people) but totally worth it if you go the drinks-and-appetizer route. read more

I love Bonefish Grill for two things...Bang Bang Shrimp and the Chilean Sea Bass(w/ the mango salsa)! Everything taste better deep fried and Bang Bang Shrimp is the perfect example, lightly battered shrimp tossed in a spicy mayo sauce over a bed of mixed green. If you have never tried the shrimp here before come out on Wednesday because it's $5 Bang Bang Shrimp ALL day. The grilled Chilean Sea Bass is consistently good...light, buttery, and moist. You have a variety of sauce to pair with your fish but I highly recommend the warm mango salsa. The other entrées at Bonefish is either a hit or a miss with me. Their daily specials can be very enticing but I usually end up wishing I'd order my usual instead. This location gets pretty busy during dinner time so you might want to make a reservation. You can always sit in the bar area, and if you are lucky there might be some booth available. If you are in the mood for a nice dinner without the hefty prices....Bonefish Grill is the way to go! read more

We made reservations and specifically asked for a table, not a booth. Upon arriving, we were seated...at a booth. We told the hostess we specifically asked for a table. She went back to the stand and left us sitting at the booth. She came back and said, "Oh yeah...we had it in our notes. There's no tables open right now...but one should open up in 10-15 minutes or so." So, we went back to the lobby and waited about 15 minutes for a table to open up. After finally being seated at our table, the waiter took our drink orders. I ordered lemonade. NEVER order lemonade....unless you like waiting for your drink. They say it is fresh squeezed lemonade...apparently they had to go out back and hand pick the lemons. I had to wait 15-20 minutes for my drink. Seriously. Everyone else had their drink, and I believe our appetizers even arrived before I got my lemonade. Also, there are not free refills for lemonade. It did not state this on the menu and the waiter did not inform me of this either. He just asked, "Would you like a refill?" I said "Yes." Then, when the bill came, I was charged for an additional lemonade. Actually, I had 2 refills....so I paid almost $10 for lemonade. Ridiculous for that horrible/slow service. Then comes the food. I am not a big seafood person. We were all there for my sisters b'day....I went with the fish and chips...something safe. VERY disappointing. The fish was soggy and flavorless and the chips (fries) were very limited in number. I think I counted 12 fries. I was shocked at how small the serving of fries were....since the prices were higher than average. Overall, this was a bad experience from them messing up our reservations to waiting forever on my lemonade to bad tasting food with very small portions. This was my first time at Bonefish, and this will be my last. read more
