First of all, this is an odd spot to find, you won't believe your GPS but yes you turn down the pathway next to the Jack in the Box. This is an odd thing to compliment but the house salad (I got it with a homemade ranch) was a little different and really good, made with butter lettuce and other greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives and pepitas! Great food. There were four of us and each dish was memorable. I had an appetizer as my main dish. The best coconut shrimp I've ever had. Large, meaty and the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and heat. I also had the house salad and liked the recommended dressing. This will probably be the last time. i arrived to pick up my order and there was no clear indication as to where you would pickup your order. I finally asked the bartender and was told to ask the hostess. After waiting several minutes in line to get up to the hostess station, I was told to ask the bartender who said they didn't know why I was told that. I was finally directed to the back corner of the restaurant where I waited for several minutes before my food finally came out. I ordered my food several hours early to make sure it was ready on time. I waited approximately 15 to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. Additionally, I requested extra bread. We ordered the bang bang shrimp which is a close comparison to Chinese walnut shrimp, but with a kick. Also for appetizers we had the cod sliders which were breaded lightly and decently sized so that we still had room for our entrees. I ordered the blackened Fish tacos which we delicious! Very disappointed with the overall dining experience. Staffing a major problem. Went for Sunday lunch and the staff was working very hard. My problem was with the food. The special butterfish lacked any taste. Garlic mashed potatoes lacked a garlic flavor. Green beans were the worst. The fault is in no way to the servers. The chiefs need to take more pride. I usually love Bonefish but last night the experience was awful! We waited almost 2 hours for a table because the kitchen staff was so far behind. I'm sure they are struggling to find workers like all restaurants. When we got to our table and ordered appetizers we were asked to share a napkin and silverware as they were out of clean silverware. She told us the manager refused to order more. My mom are her entree with her fingers and I luckily ordered soup which came with a spoon. Living in an inland city, it's tough to find decent seafood. (The only thing I don't love about Franklin.) That's the best thing about Bonefish - they have seafood. Value for cost is poor. I ordered Cod Imperial, which was about 4 oz of cod with about 2 tablespoons of breadcrumb stuffing and a butter sauce. Table of 3 bill was $105 with tip, and two of the three had apps for their dinner. We had reservations but still waited 20 minutes because they couldn't get tables cleared. Bonefish owed up to their mistake (bag was grabbed before all items were in place) and made it right by sending an in house manager to deliver the missing item in his personal car! My family and I weren't expecting so a low quality meal as we were served. Half of my wifes fish was old and hard. My tuna was spoiled and should have never been served. The Bang Bang shrimp is always good, as are the entres. The Spinach Bacon Blue Mahi Mahi was very tasty and the twine lobster tails my wife have were good as well. That is, for only the first half of the meal. The temperature in the restaurant is always painfully cold, each and every time we've been here. So cold, the drawn butter was not warm for long, as the arctic cold air drew down the temp and the candle flame wafted to the side, thereby becoming ineffective. We used the salt and pepper grinders to shield the breeze to give the flame a fighting chance. All this probably explains why we are not here very often (once or twice a year). read more

Bonefish Grill is solidly good for a chain restaurant, and the Cool Springs location, though hard to see from the main drag, is good too. We are big fans of the Bang Bang Shrimp, which we had during our most recent visit (and every other one, let's be honest). I was also glad to see more dishes added to the menu over time that weren't a heavy steak/seafood with sides, like the Spicy Tuna Bowl that I had, or an increased list of shareables on the menu. That said, it's a pricey place, and it's hard for me to come here that often given there isn't a food Happy Hour menu anymore, nor is it open for lunch. (A pity in Cool Springs, given the weekday corporate crowd.) I feel like I enjoy places like J. Alexander's more, where there's a bit more variety on the menu for the upscale pricing. But Bonefish Grill never disappoints, and I've never had trouble getting a table at this location. So 4 stars it is! read more

Umm we put in a reservation. Waited an hour. Heard four other people chewing out the one young female alone at hostess stand about how the had been waiting hours for their reservation also. I usually always have a good meal at Bonefish Grill... it's standard chain restaurant food that usually is a very "safe" go to for seafood... especially when I'm on the road. Yesterday I decided to stop in and have an early dinner. Order the happy hour mussels. IDK where they got them from, but the fourth mussel in I realized the funny taste they had was probably because they were not fresh--freshly delivered to the restaurant, but not fresh out the ocean. Almost immediately (because I was hungry and inhaled four) my stomach started churning. NOT. GOOD. I sent the mussels back complaining that they didn't taste fresh and that they may want to check on them. I opted for the salmon, and third bite into that, I knew it was going to all come up if I went any further. Asked for seltzer water and sent it away. Manager came over, I addressed with him the situation and he immediately got on the defensive. I'm not going to argue with you sir, especially when I felt like a good up-chuck right then. I asked him politely to double check the mussels... Lord knows I wouldn't want anyone else to get this feeling. He credited my (hardly eaten) meal on the house and I went my merry way. Couldn't eat anything after that. Total fiasco to a perfectly good dinner night. Quiezy all night...
