Everything! The owner, Remington is a wonderful man who has total respect for his employees. You can feel the positive energy throughout the restaurant. The service is fabulous. My waiter is Brandon and is so attentive. The ambiance is so warm and conformable. The filet mignon cooked perfectly along with the asparagus and whipped potatoes. Earlier this year, I went to Bonefish Grill for the first time for a Yelp Elite event. I really enjoyed their new menu and drinks that I was very excited to go back. Due to my work schedule, it took me half a year to go back but I finally did last night. They were very packed so instead of waiting 25 minutes for inside seating, we decided to sit out on the patio. No one else was out there and the weather was really nice so we liked it. As soon as we were seated, our server got our drinks and bread. We decided to do the Hooked on Tuesday, 3 course meal, which comes with salad, entree, and dessert. I ordered the Classic Caesar Salad, The Angler's Sirloin Steak with seasonal vegetables and garlic potatoes, and Macadamia Nut Brownie. My bf ordered Bonefish House Salad, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Macadamia Nut Brownie. Our salads came out shortly. Both were very delicious. My bf's Shrimp Pad Thai was really good. My entree? Not so much. First, on the menu it said seasonal vegetables. It was only broccoli. Misleading in my opinion. Garlic potatoes? I couldn't taste any garlic. It was just regular mashed potatoes. Now, let's talk about my steak. It was so gristly and tough. (See photo) I couldn't even cut it. I only took 1 bite out of the whole thing and I couldn't even chew so I spat it out. My bf tried to cut the steak for me but he couldn't either. He had to pull them apart. We still couldn't touch 1/2 of the steak. Because we were seating out on the patio by ourselves, our server was not as attentive as she would've been inside. So when she finally came, she asked how our food was. So I told her Shrimp Pad Thai was good but my steak was not. She could see that we didn't, oh excuse me, couldn't touch 1/2 of the steak, she took it to her manager. The manager came out, admitted it was a terrible cut and apologized. He took it off of our check and even asked me if I was still hungry. At this point, I was annoyed and had lost my appetite, that I said I'm fine. While our server was getting our check, we realized that our $25 gift card cannot be used for gratuity or tax so we were gonna have more than $8 left on the card. When our server came back, I asked could we get a Bang Bang Shrimp to go on the remaining gift card balance and we will pay with a credit card for gratuity and tax. She stated that she had already closed our ticket so she couldn't add more to our ticket but she will handle it. We were worried that she was gonna charge our credit card for the shrimp, not the card. And of course that's exactly what happened. She said that because she had already closed the ticket, she was unable to add the shrimp so she had to create a new ticket to charge our card for the shrimp, tax, and tip, which made no sense because how could you close the ticket before we even pay? And if they can't charge tip and tax separately, why would they indicate it on the gift card? Can they not take 2 form of payments? How? What if the gift card wasn't enough for our meal? They would've had to take an additional form of payment. She ended up taking it back and fixed it. I would definitely recommend not getting a steak here. Somewhat slow service. Also, do not sit outside on the patio. It's nice but you will have to fan your food the entire time because of flies. I was very excited to try Bonefish because of the great experience I had at the Yelp Elite event but I gotta say I was more than disappointed. I was even more so disappointed because it was out first date night out in a long time. I'm not sure that I will come back to this location although it is very close to me. As far as chains go, Bonefish Grill is usually reliable for good seafood and other options. We had a Groupon and stopped by mid-evening on a Wednesday. We skipped the wait for a table and sat at socially distanced stools at the bar. Our server Cassidy was very friendly and asked our names (I wonder if that's a restaurant policy). We enjoyed a soft drink, local porter, side salad, spicy tuna bowl, shrimp and scallops dish, and key lime coconut cake. My minor complaint was that the mashed potato side with my entree was very small. However, the cake slice was massive and we ended up taking half of it to go. Unfortunately for us this is the end of our family bundle purchasing days. First let me me start off by saying I love bonefish so when i got a chance to attend a yelp event i was all over it! Brandon the service manager was very helpful and the wait staff was very attentive. The only con I have is that the parking situation is HORRIBLE!!! Literally took me 10 mins to find a spot. The shrimp is breaded to perfection..... def a bonefish classic Singapore Calamari: Very good. It's topped with banana peppers for an added crunch and slight kick and the dipping sauce is kind of sweet. Compliment each other very Well! Mojo style red fish Chorizo in sauce give it a spice. Edit: after leaving feedback i was contacted the next morning by the managing partner who apologized and explained without making excuses. Was extremely kind of him to do so and it made me feel like I was being cared for. We'll be returning as I was assured that shortcut's were taken they did not approve of and that feedback will be taken into consideration. Original review: Amongst the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Firstly my guest and I had a reservation for 7:15, we were not seated until 7:25. Then nobody came to greet us, ask for our drinks, help us in any way, anything at all for half an hour when a waitress two tables over notices and asked if we had been helped. We said no and by that time had had enough time to look over the menu so we placed our orders. In the meantime we did not receive any bread or anything. We finally got water ten minutes after this and our appetizer soon after. Except, we had no cutlery. When we asked we were given plastic takeout cutlery in the little wrapper with salt and pepper. Not even real cutlery. We ate this and in the meantime did not even receive any bread as we have in the past. Our plate was collected and with it our plastic cutlery. It was another 20-40 minutes before our entrees came out, again with no cutlery. This whole time there has been absolute no introduction or help from our server. I waited for a while, but then had to stand and go to the front to ask the hostess for some cutlery and some bread. We got proper cutlery finally hit by this time the pasta my guest had ordered was cold and the burger I had was also cold with the melted cheese coagulated sitting on a cold patty with the toppings haphazardly placed halfway on the bun. The burger was an absolute mess and I had to basically reassemble it before I ate the cold blob that sat before me. While this is happening the neighboring table is experiencing the same thing. The server brought them water but held three glasses awkwardly with one hand while spilling half of it on the ground between us and not even noticing. The man sitting at the table had to grab the glass from their hand so they wouldn't still more and they didn't acknowledge it or didn't even realize. The bread came out halfway into our entree but at this point neither of us was hungry anymore. We then had to ask multiple times before we got the check and a box to take the pasta home. I went on a date with my girlfriend here on Tuesday for their "Hooked on Tuesday" special. We went for their cheapest three course meal (about $16 per person). They start you off with bread and pesto to dip in. The bread was pretty good and the pesto sauce was delicious, although it can get messy. My three course meal started with a house salad which was about average as far as salads go. My main course was the shrimp pad Thai. The dish was fantastic and I had plenty to take home. Lastly, for dessert I had the macadamian nut brownie, and I'll admit I scarfed that down really fast. The brownie comes with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. I tried the raspberry sauce on my brownie, but it wasn't really my thing. The service at bonefish grill was good from my experience. We didn't have to wait too long, they checked on us, and gave us more bread when needed. My girlfriend had a bad experience with the steak (fat on half the steak), but the manager was very accommodating and took it off our bill. Remington is a fantastic person to be running a restaurant. Everything from the ambiance to the desserts and in between are excellent. Just starting with the bread and nut free pesto is a great start. Every appetizer is a delight. Our group of 4 had 3! Then a full salad/soup course, followed by 2 styles of the partners selection butterfish (Lily's and Rhea's), the Florida Cobb Salad with shrimp, and the BFG burger. The minute the food was set down we were surrounded by flies landing on our plates. It was disgusting! We were eating with one hand while waving away flies with the other. Our waiter said that it was because they had a revolving door letting the flies in and that maybe they'd forgotten to spray the windowsills the night before - ugh. The manager blamed it on the revolving door as well. I actually really love Bonefish as a chain restaurant. They are fairly consistent across the board. I have visited several in different cities and states and the bang bang shrimp is always a treat. The wait staff and food here was on par with their standards. I've tried too many of their menu items to name but regardless of what you are in the mood for I'm sure there will be something to meet your needs. Also, their martinis and blackberry sangrias are the best! Brunch, Lunch or dinner you can count of them to fulfill. My only gripe is that we came here on 2/4/18 for dinner and the restaurant closed early for the Super Bowl. Seriously? What business closes early for a sports event? I also had a dine reward that expired that day that I missed out on. The hours were not mentioned on the site so it was wasted drive. The next time we visited the manager would not honor the free bang bang shrimp even after explaining the situation. "Everything was really good!" - My husband. I signed up for Bonefish's email newsletter and they advertised a three course dinner on Tuesdays starting at $15. My husband was super into it. We got Caesar salad with ranch dressing (him) and a house salad with Caesar dressing (me). This was followed up with steak with fries and spinach (him) and salon with lemon butter with spinach and green beans (me). We were really delighted with our choices. We came here in search of a good Seafood dish. We got so much more. We took a high table that overlooked the dining area . We had a wonderful server ,and we even got leather table cloths. Today was Mothers Day and UNC Graduation. We had a reservation but I never expected it to be as crowded as it was. We were seated within a reasonable time frame of our reservation time. Our server was great. He couldn't of done a better job. One thing he couldn't do was cook the food. They had added at least one extra long table in the restaurant. There were folding chairs !!??? What ???? I would NOT have been happy if we had been seated there. The addition of seats obviously bogged down the kitchen. We ordered bang bang shrimp and calamari for Apps. They came out quickly and were tasty and hot. When the time came to order entrees we were told that what we wanted was "out" in the kitchen. We wanted the sirloin steak and crab cakes. We ask if we could substitute a small fillet for the sirloin. Our server agreed and we were all happy campers. Our reservation was at 5:30. Our entrees were served at 6:45. The kitchen was obviously bogged down. I had a fillet (medium). It was dried out and not juicy at all. The crab cake was OK. My daughter had the pad thai. Also not very good. Others in our party had more traditional seafood and theirs was good. The moral of the story is this...DO NOT order a steak at Bonefish. DO NOT order "non seafood" items either. It just wasn't a good night for the kitchen. If the kitchen isn't equipped to handle more heads than the restaurant was designed to handle, please DO NOT add chairs !! Absolutely great service and I also would like to update it to a 4 stars although I learned that grilled fish is not my favorite cook on a fish but still flavorful nonetheless. Delicious Chilean sea bass with lemon juice and Asian Sauce. The ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We loved that the meat was paired with delicious sides of our choice. Potato cubed with cheese was quite cheesy but soft and yummy. The coleslaw tasted fresh and wasn't doused in sauce like most other places. The spinach was basic and fries were decent.
