We visit the steak house for the first time for special ocasión, my husband and my birthday , the steak was good, mash potatoes ok, calamari too greasy, Cesar salad, ok The service is good, but for the price you expect more, nothing fancy there, they told my husband to take off his hat but the hostess was showing half of her bobs. THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER THE COMPLIMENTARY DESERT. Not happy for the $280 we spend there

I dined in here for NYE. I enjoyed the pasta and chicken entree from the prefix menu. I also enjoyed a French 75 cocktail. The individual I enjoyed dinner with ordered the lamb chops. All of the food was pretty good. Including the assortment of bread service. The salad was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the pasta. It was not creamy or moist enough for me but this is to be expected since this isn't their specialty. The service was great. The restaurant was clean, the seating was comfortable and the lighting was decent here.

I have heard great things about the famous Ruth's Chris Steak House so I thought this place would be a great place to celebrate a steak lover's birthday, but this place fell short for me. I came in November when the weather was cold outside, so I wanted to start out with a soup, and I was recommended the lobster bisque. The soup was overall disappointing. It was overly sweet which was not something I was expecting from a lobster bisque. We also ordered the asparagus and mashed potatoes for our sides. Both sides were extremely average, I expected more from the sides so I was also disappointed. The sides here are family style and are not included when you order a steak which is something that threw me off at first considering a steak itself is pretty pricy itself. Adding on $30 of mediocre sides (granted they are family style to share) to a $65 steak is quite steep. The last part of the meal was the steak. I ordered a ribeye which was the redeeming factor of the meal. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and so tender to the point where it melts in your mouth! Service wise, our waitress was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I will note that it was busy night and she had multiple tables to cover, so the food and the bill did take a long time to come out which is not her fault. While the steak itself was great, I do think the other dishes paired with the steak were disappointing. Overall, the food was not worth the price. I knew coming into the restaurant that it was fine dining, so I was prepared to splurge, but I do not think my meal was worth the splurge. Because of that, I do not see myself willingly coming back here. I think it would worth it for a steak lover to try their steak (and only the steak) once, but I would not recommend repeat visits here.

We were late for our reservation but got seated quickly. Our server was nice and attentive. She knew we were celebrating my birthday by the rose petals that were scattered on the table. Nice touch! We ordered some drinks that were tasty. The drunk choices were plentiful. We started with the crab croquettes that were the bomb!! Very fresh and hot. The salad was average but still good. The crab friend rice was awesome! Lots of crab flavor and a nice portion. All the food came out piping hot! My steak was a little overcooked but they gladly took it back and brought another one. The chicken had a nice presentation and my daughters go to. Almost forgot the sweet potato casserole!! It was delicious!! Enjoyed my birthday dinner!

Visiting from out of state and was craving the happy hour steak sandwich. I sat in the bar at a high top table and the two bartenders greeted me right away. I had the spicy shrimp, steak sandwich, apple crumb and everything was delicious! This location of Ruth Chris did not disappoint! I also very much appreciated the manager table touching, it's a nice gesture. Would definitely recommend!

Back again! Happy hour at the bar with favorite bartender Roman. It's easy to enjoy dining alone when the service is top-notch, the drinks are deliciously balanced, the steaks are excellent, and the conversation with your server is easy. That sums it up for me. Period. This spot is comfortable. I sat myself at the bar. The food is consistently good. There was a nice music selection playing. Other bar patrons were friendly. What more could I ask for? Of course, I'm going back. By the way, if you're a satisfied customer, take a minute to seek out management and lift up those who provided you with great service. Their excellence deserves a few minutes of your time. Management needs to know when you decide to patronize the establishment because a member of their staff makes it special. Here's to Roman! See you soon.

My husband took me out on a date one day when I told him I've never been to Ruth's Chris Steak House. I've been super into steaks lately, and I was beyond excited to visit. The overall experience was superb, but it was quite pricey. However, we will definitely be back and have more special dates at this place because the food and the service were simply that amazing! One thing to note is that your entrée does NOT come with any sides. You have to order them on your own. This was something different than other steak houses I've been to, but the sides were phenomenal with zero regrets on my end! We had Spicy Shrimp, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, two different steaks, and cocktails. We knew going in that steaks will be delicious, but the side dishes were surprisingly delicious. The star(s) of the meal for us was Lobster Mac & Cheese and Roasted Brussels Sprouts! When we didn't finish our food, our waiting packed up the food along with the leftover breads and butter. It was such a nice experience and we would love to be back soon once our wallet recovers a little :)

Had a terrible experience here for a friend's birthday dinner and I was disappointed because I usually love Ruth's Chris. We experienced a lack of service from the server and the kitchen. It took us an hour to receive our drinks and two hours to receive our food, so we were there a total of 3 hours for a party of 12, and most of us ordered the same items. Our water nor our bread were refilled promptly. When the food finally came out, it was overcooked (steak and lobster mac) or cold (mashed potatoes). For the prices we paid and the length of time we waited, the food could've been much better in taste, temperature, and price. We were also not able to split checks so we the guest of honor had to put everything on her credit card, then we had to divide up the total and taxes and split it that way, very cumbersome. I also feel like the servers don't do their best when they already know an 18% large party gratuity is coming anyway. In my opinion, Ruth's Chris's prices no longer match the quality of the food or the service. I would choose another steakhouse over this one in the future.

Ruth Chris is full of staff looking forward to making your experience pleasurable. It really appears that no server is alone and they have a team like atmosphere very present throughout your experience. This truly was very nice and clean environment. Everything went well throughout our visit and although I made a small comment about my rice, staff were so ready take it away and replace it. There was no need as the rice was great but only appeared to have minimal crab which can happen with dishes of this sort. They still wished to make it right and made it right. I truly appreciate their focus on customer satisfaction. It was really busy that night and service was truly streamline. I definitely recommend Ruth Chris for their dedication to customer service and true stance behind providing quality food paired with a wonderful experience for their guest .

A very good all around experience. Hadn't been to a Ruth Chris in awhile and was pleasantly surprised. First, the portion sizes are great. My tuna tataki was not only seared perfectly (not overcooked) but also a very healthy portion of tuna. My only complaint was it was slightly too salty. I had some of my daughter's tomato and mozzarella salad, also a nice portion with very good tomatoes (though surprised they were all cherry tomatoes). For a main, I went with the bone-in fillet, a cut you can't get everywhere, also a great size steak and, more importantly, cooked to the right temperature. FOr sides, thought the creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts were both quite good. The asparagus was okay, but skinny stalks. Not cheap but you know that going in, worth the price and a nice steak house meal.

I visited this restaurant on March 18th for a business retirement luncheon. We had a private room for ourselves. The host and servers were pleasant and professional. We had preset menus which made it easier for the servers to take our orders and bring the food out in a timely manner. All entrees were good. The mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach were good but could have used a little more seasoning. I had the salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had the right balance of texture, moisture, and flavor. Everyone enjoyed the luncheon.

Great food and excellent service. I tried a little bit of everything from steak, salmon, and pork chop. No complaints on anything but I really enjoyed the steak and salmon. The shrimp appetizer was also really good and spicy. Nice environment and makes for a nice date.

Even a month ahead of time, so good luck). But don't let it stop you if you don't have reservations, just be smart. We've learned to arrive when they open, because the bar and the high-tops in the bar area are all first-come first serve. There are times we've had just drinks and an appetizer/rolls or dessert. Other times we've gone for a full meal. Most recent visit was Saturday before an 8pm show at DPAC, and I heard words that I've never heard before that made me love them even more. "We will hold your leftovers for you until after the show". Uh, big heart for me! And smart for them, because we would not have ordered dessert otherwise, and I would have been sad to have had to waste even a bite of my fave, the roast chicken. Husband declared his "wedge" salad and filet to be perfection, and nothing makes him happier than a couple Dirty Durham's, while I can always find a nice glass of wine. We tried the Apple Crisp for dessert along with a couple coffees, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The Service was also terrific, as always. Always. And sure enough, my leftovers were bagged up and ready and waiting when we got out of the show. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly get better, they did.

I arrived as soon as the doors opened at 4pm on a cold & windy Sunday. Dining at Nana Steak was a last minute decision and I didn't have a reservation. The bar area is first come, first served. The actual bar filled up really quickly, but I was able to grab a 4 top table even though I was a party of 1. Nana Steak has an intimate and welcoming vibe and the service is amazing. Jared was my server and he was the best!! I started with the soup of the day, cream of spinach. The flavor was awesome, and as Jared mentioned, it wasn't a heavy creamy soup, it was light and delicious. For my entree I ordered the 6 oz Filet medium, it was cooked perfectly and had the best flavor. I didn't really need a knife it was so tender. For my side, I chose the potato puree (mashed potatoes) and they were like whipped silk, and seasoned perfectly. I made sure to save room for dessert and I'm so glad I did. The chocolate silk pie complimented my glass of red wine perfectly. I ate every bite. I definitely recommend dining at Nana Steak, make a reservation if you can. I hear the cheeseburger and the rolls are both delicacies, they only make a certain amount a day. Make sure you ask your server about the specials of the day that aren't on the regular menu.

When looking at a restaurant, it is important to consider the entire dining experience, including ambiance, service, and food. Little Bull achieved excellence in all these categories. __ Tom Kha Ceviche - Snapper, coconut leche de tigre, mixed peppers, sweet potato, choclo, peanut, salsa macha, onions, and plantain chips. The snapper was incredibly fresh, which paired perfectly with the coconut leche de tigre. The broth was well balanced with richness from the peanut butter and salsa macha, sweetness from the sweet potato and choclo, and spice from the peppers and onions. The plantains were the perfect way to bring all the ingredients together. __ Gambas a La Plancha - Shrimp, salsa piquin, onion, and ciabatta. The shrimp was well-cooked and tender, delivered with the perfect char, bringing the right sweetness while pulling in the spicy and smoky flavors from the salsa piquin. The ciabatta was a nice accompaniment to this dish, helping you soak up the amazing base sauce. __ Winter Cabbage - Charred NC Cabbage, Salsa Malcojeta, Beans Mousseline, Cumin Vinaigrette, and Salsa Macha. This was a complex dish, with the creaminess of the mousseline, the charred flavor of the cabbage, the nuttiness of the salsa macha, and the earthiness of the cumin vinaigrette. While I figured this dish would have a little spice, this dish was super spicy. I would have liked the waiter to have advised us of this before we ordered the dish. __ Arepas - Cheese arepas, chicken guasacaca, cilantro and avocado aioli, avocado mousse, sour cream and pickled onions. The cheese arepas were cooked perfectly, with a nice, crisp exterior complementing the soft interior and pairing nicely with the chicken, cilantro, and avocado flavors. The pickled onions and sour cream added a nice balance to the dish. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a little more flavor. It seemed to be lacking something, making it a little bland. __ Presentation was impeccable. I love how they curated each dish and really highlighted all the ingredients. It definitely represents why they were mentioned in the Michelin guide. __ Overall, this is a must-visit restaurant for any occasion. But this is where my MiL wanted to go for Mothers Day so my husband and I took her, along with my brother and sister in law. We got there at 11:30 on Sunday and it was pretty busy but not packed yet. Before we even entered the building, an employee handed the women in the party each a rose! What a lovely touch. My MiL is disabled and so we got her situated in the waiting area before going up and adding our party to the wait list. The hostess immediately got us a table and we were seated right away, which was also very nice. Our server was Sierra and she was delightful. She brought us SO MUCH bread and it was so deliciously warm. I try not to eat the bread before the meal so I can eat most of my entree, but this bread is amazing. And with the cinnamon honey butter?! I forgot how yummy it was. All of my in-laws got the smothered chicken with loaded sweet potatoes and house salads as their sides. My husband and I got ribeye's (cooked medium). I got my with a house salad and loaded mased potatoes, while my husband got a Caesar salad and baked potato with butter. Y'all, their salads are really, really good. They were fresh and the croutons are phenomenal. We didn't wait too long for our food which was impressive since it was so busy. Sierra waited for us to cut into our steaks before she walked away. They were cooked perfectly. I thought they were seasoned really well but my husband said his could have used more salt. My mashed potatoes were tasty but my husband wished is baked potato was warmer...he said it wasn't even melting all the butter. The smothered chicken looked good as well. The manager came over at least twice during our meal to make sure that everything was ok. When Sierra brought us our check, she told us there was no rush, which was kind but we left as soon as we could since they were packed. I'm not sure if they are under new management, but the service we received exceeded expectations. I was very pleased. My only complaint (which there is really nothing they can do about this) is the noise level. It was so loud that it was difficult to hear my soft spoken MiL. Otherwise, I will be very happy to return here!

Unfortunately, the management team tonight was a complete disappointment. First, credit where it's due--our server, Kaylee, was great. She checked on us multiple times and did everything she could to help. The problem was not the server. The problem was management. My food came out extremely salty--so salty my lips were literally starting to shrivel up (the fries somehow tasted bland in comparison). I let Kaylee know, and she went to the kitchen and came back explaining it may have been due to the brine. I asked to switch my order, which she said was no problem. It was a busy Friday night, so I completely understood the replacement might take longer. What I don't understand is the complete lack of management involvement. Kaylee explained that when an order is remade, a manager is supposed to deliver it to ensure the issue is resolved and the guest is taken care of. She told us she repeatedly asked for someone to come to the table. They never did. Meanwhile, tables that were seated after us finished their meals and left. The person I was dining with finished their entire meal. And I was still sitting there waiting. No manager came to apologize. No one came to explain a delay. No one came to check on the situation. Nothing. Communication is the bare minimum in customer service. A simple update or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. For context: our table was ready at 6:36 PM and we didn't leave until 8:14 PM. Sadly, this isn't the first disappointing experience I've had at this location, but it will be the last. For anyone in management who might read this, I'd strongly recommend two books: Uncommon Service: How to Win by Putting Customers at the Core of Your Business & You're Not Listening: What You're Missing and Why It Matters. At this point, I won't be returning--but hopefully this review saves someone else from the same experience. I've gotten better experiences with McDonald's management team; that says a lot right there.

The restaurant itself is cozy with warm accents, brick walls, and wood paneling. I feel like I'm visiting a good friends home whenever I visit here. As for the menu, and I say this without exaggeration, the carrot cavatelli is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten in my life. I seriously dream about that carrot cavatelli. Here's some of my other favorites: Smoked Hamachi Puree- the toaste brioche goes perfectly with this pate-like fish dish, so insanely delicious Caramelized Onion Tart- the robiola foam is a dream and pairs perfectly with the apple Carrot Cavatelli- I would literally write the chef personally if this item was ever removed from the menu. Trust me, just order this for the table. King Trumpet- there's not much better than a grilled trumpet mushroom Seared Scallops- such a fantastic dish that comes with creamed greens and little pasta to accompany it Braised Beef Short Rib- meaty and delicious, exactly as you would expect Chocolate Mousse- a delicious, decadent dessert that's the perfect way to end a meal All in all, you can't have a bad meal at Littler. Plus the service is always excellent and they pay their staff a living wage! Definitely a do not miss in Downtown Durham

We were pleased with all the items ordered - especially the carrot cavatelli and escarole. We had the early spring 2025 menu to choose from. Entrees were delicious but slightly smaller than expected, which was the only downside. The bill definitely adds up if you have a drink with entrees

The Breakfast Fried Rice that I selected, featuring wild-caught NC shrimp, roasted mushrooms, broccoli, edamame, jasmine rice in a soy-ginger sauce, omelet, and Yum Yum Sauce, was delicious. To complement my meal, I also opted for the Pomegranate Hibiscus Spritzer mocktail. The servers were great and even in passing every staff i encountered was pleasant. On a different note, I couldn't help but notice that the water glasses on the table had noticeable water stains. Given the elegant setting of the hotel lighting fixtures and the significance of first impressions for me, it was a bit of a setback to observe this. The hostess tried to find me a glass that wasn't stained but never returned. I ended up passing on water. I would suggest improving the glasses by removing the stains or getting new ones. I would also recommend a better clean-up of the seating after each guest. I saw a few crumbs. Parking was effortless. A parking deck is right across the street. It's free on the weekends.

Christmas time is beautiful, as they decorate the ceiling with garments and ornaments and other decorations around the massive restaurant, but reservations are needed no later than 6 months in advance. If you're fine waiting 3 hours for a table max, then you will be fine. Every single time we come to Angus Barn, something is different. Now they give you a soup or salad with your meal, along with bread! The cheese and crackers are famous among the people and are a great way to start your meal. The bread is so fresh also! All components in their house salad is great. Everything is awesome! The prime rib is tender and has such good flavor. Their mac n' cheese is the way to go. Their recipe is constantly changing. Like what I previously said, something is different every time you come to Angus Barn. The chocolate chess pie is the best I've had. This is a MUST when dining at Angus Barn. You HAVE to get the chocolate chess pie. The service is some of the best in the restaurant business and all do a great job at explaining things. So kind and professional! Once again, if you're around Raleigh and don't come to Angus Barn, you are missing out. I highly recommend you come. So good!
