Flooring / decor and ambience could use updating but let's be honest I'm just happy it's still here business is always SLOW even at rush hour. My food was good nothing that really wowed me. The chicken was flavorful but garlic overpowered and lemon flavor in the linguini. The salads had a house Parmesan that tasted fishy and I already told them I didn't want Cesar because I don't eat fish including anchovies. I wondered if they were counting the olives only got two! The bread was wonderful as always. My waitress was new and in training and was friendly and mostly attentive. Not her fault the dish was lackluster and the restaurant needs updating. Overall my food was still good so I'll give it a four out of five. Portions were huge. read more

Waiter was excellent and had no problems with the service. The Caesar salad that came with my Chicken Bryan was fresh and good but the garlic mashed potatoes were horrid! When we first arrived, there weren't many patrons, however when we left the restaurant was packed. Kayla was our waitress and she was so nice. We ordered the meatballs and ricotta as our appetizer with a glass of Prosecco Rose. They were SO GOOD!!!!!! Unfortunately, you only get 2 per order, but they were really good! I ordered the Mezzaluna Pasta with a Caesar Salad and if course the complimentary bread and oil and herbs. Everything was good and a "To-Go" plate was definitely needed! Absolute TRASH! I do not usually leave reviews but for the amount I paid and the half, child-like portions I received, this is definitely called for! I ordered a lasagna entree and the entire size of the portion could fit in my palm. It was barely warmed when it reached me so clearly this was a defrosted meal. The soup I ordered was mostly broth to add to the audacity. Never again will I order from this chain. There are better authentic Italian and Sicilian locations that will now get my business. If you are a slow eater, like I am, be sure to let the wait know staff know so that your entree doesn't come too soon. My favorite entree is the Spaghetti with Grilled Chicken Carbonara on the Fall Specials menu. Be careful though, I find it quite addicting. I usually get an additional order to go for only $10. I love Carabbas! It's one of my favorite places to go, and this location is great. It's in a great spot near a lot of other restaurants and across the street from a shopping center. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and a new dish they had called the pasta toscana. It was fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and steak and it was very good. My friend ordered the Italian classic trio and loved it. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, and our food came out fast as well. I arrived around dinner time and there was a 15-20 minute wait for a table. It looks like Carrabba's isn't opening their full dining room. I didn't mind the way and received a text when my table was ready. I ordered... Calamari - This was delicious, and came with two different sauces. A marinara and spicy cheese. Both were delicious! I just wished it came with more calamari. Shrimp Alfredo - Good but nothing special. Taste like alfredo! Overall, good experience! My server was attentive and kind. For starters they were out of eggplant parmesan. The salad lettuce was not crispy and fresh. It was soggy like day old salad that sat in the dressing overnight. The worst of it is the chicken marsala which is one of my favorites, so I know how it should taste. The flavor was heavy on the black pepper. I told the server. He took it back to the kitchen and returned with a sample of marsala sauce that tasted more like what is expected of marsala. They prepared a new plate, and the sauce tasted like a mix of the two, more marsala wine and less black pepper than the first. I basically tasted three different sauces. I've never had a peppery marsala. The garlic mashed potatoes were just okay. Fettuccine Weesie noodles were overcooked and soft like egg noodles. The sauce was thin. The decor and ambiance of this location feels dated. We've come to the conclusion that we won't dine here again when we have the taste for Italian. I came to visit with my family that lives in Chapel Hill. I wanted to take them out to a nice restaurant to celebrate my grandson starting high school this year. It was 2pm in the afternoon on a Tuesday so business was slow. The server was cordial. I eat at the Carrabba's in Winston Salem often and the food is very good so this was my expectation here. That was not to be. The grilled chicken was chewy and tasteless and the chicken soup tasted like it came out of a can. We left this food on the table as no one would eat it. The grilled wings were bloody next to the bone and we didn't finish those either. The kid's spaghetti meal was tolerable but no better than what I could make at home. The only thing that we liked was the Caprese sandwich and rosemary fries which were good. I was highly disappointed and it was a waste of $70. We'll not visit this restaurant again. We stopped on the way home to get something else to eat. Sad! read more

The food was good however,the glass I received was disgusting. It wasn't until I finished drinking it that I was able to see food and fingerprints on the INSIDE of the glass. I figured that by using common sense and good service,the disgusting swamp juice I drank would be taken off the bill. However,when we received the bill I was still charged for the drink. I am not paying $4 for a drink that looked like it was ran through someone's ass first. It needed up being taken off,but the fact I had to ask seemed odd. The service in general was not the greatest. First let me start out, this is my first 2 star ever given. I'm normally very honest with what I like and don't like. I try to point out all the good things and not give bad reviews. Carrabba's 100% earned a two star. First with the good and why it did not get a one star. The service is very nice. They were understaffed, so a little slow. But overall it they really tried their best. Parking is good and easy so nothing was overly difficult. Four cheese stuffed mushrooms- these were actually really good. I do recommend these for an appetizer. Great flavor and they were large and great to eat. No the problem, that was the only thing that was good. It was one of those days where I really wanted a steak. But not any steak, a very rare one. You ever are just low on iron and your body just needs it. So I went and ordered a steak and said multiple times I wanted it very rare. Now I could've accepted medium rare - maybe. But they went and cooked it more than a McDonald's hamburger. You ever see SpongeBob??? Where he goes "this tastes like a leather boot" and the next guy goes "mine is a leather boot". Well I got to enjoy a leather boot. I normally don't get to upset but I really really wanted a rare steak and got nothing. This was not the first time something like this happened. The time before my grandparents got a steak and it was super over cooked. I just wish they understood when I asked multiple times for it to be very rare. The grilled chicken was okay it was slightly over cooked but the sauce had good flavor. If you go here do not get steak but I definitely recommend the stuffed mushrooms! read more

I ate at Carrabba's last night with a friend. I was pleased to be able to order a health-conscious dinner, since I'm following WeightWatchers right now. I enjoyed the Simply Grilled Salmon, the grilled asparagus side, and a side salad without dressing. The service was prompt and courteous, too. The only thing I'd change is the music, which was turned up too loud for my taste. I understand that louder music is an industry standard, I just wish it could be a little softer. read more

Let me start by saying that I'm not a huge fan of Carrabba's. It's slightly above average for pseudo-upscale corporate Italian, and you almost get what you pay for. If you keep your expectations low enough, they'll (usually) be met. My sweetie, however, *loves* Carrabba's. So we eat there a lot. Like, a LOT, a lot. Just looking back at slightly less than a year, on just one of the cards I use when eating out, I was appalled to see just how much money we'd spent at Carrabba's. Our average ticket for the two of us is about $58, and I always tip right at 15%, even 'though it's always curbside pickup, and even 'though something's almost always wrong, because I know how bad service staff get shafted by corporations. That said, there's one thing that they've got that I USED to love on their menu. Shoot me for saying this, but when the Tuscan Grilled Ribeye was first introduced, Carrabba's suddenly had one of the best mid-price steaks anywhere, loads better than their corporate siblings across the street at Outback. For a year or so, I no longer dreaded when my sweetie got a craving for Chicken Bryan. I could order my usual, and we'd both be happy (if substantially poorer). But the last six months or so, every time I've ordered the Tuscan Grilled Ribeye, it's been overcooked. I know, expecting a corporate Italian joint to know how to properly cook a steak is NOT keeping my expectations low enough, so I shouldn't be surprised when they're not met. I've called to complain three or four times, and I think I was told that some sort of something would be mailed out for my trouble (I can't remember what, exactly, and it never actually happened, so there was nothing to refresh my memory). But tonight was a step too far, so I'm finally taking it to the internet. For once, it was my love who wanted the Ribeye, *not* me. She ordered it rare, with the Marsala sauce addition. I (stupidly) didn't check carefully enough in the car, so I was home before I realized that they didn't include the Marsala sauce -- but that might've been forgivable. What isn't forgivable, what IS, in fact, a crime against beef, is a steak ordered rare that's not just overcooked, it's cooked practically to oblivion. This steak, that (according to their menu) was supposed to be "Rare: Cool Red Center" was way over on the grayer side of "Medium Well: Warm Brown/Pink Center". Just look at the photo of that awful thing! And then imagine having just paid almost $40 for the dubious privilege of having to offer that sad meal to someone you love. I'll probably not be able to convince her to stop going to Carrabba's. But maybe I'll at least be able to save someone else from the horror of ordering an overpriced, ill-advised, inaccurately prepared disappointment from an indifferent establishment that clearly doesn't care a bit about their (foolishly, ridiculously) regular customers, any more than they care what their cook staff is doing. read more

Carrabba's is a chain. My expectations are reasonable. I'm expecting everything to be frozen and then microwaved. However, if I'm paying $25-30 for an entree, something better be fresh. The meatballs seem to be made in house but no one there knows how to cook them. They were just rolled and then dropped in sauce. They weren't browned first. That means they were mushy and fell apart and because parmesan cheese was used, it had an odd smell. read more

She even laughed at my corny jokes so you know she's a professional. My sirloin was perfectly cooked (medium rare or bust, baby!) and her side recommendations were spot-on. The wine was good and not crazy overpriced. And y'all. That bread. Olive Garden could never. Maybe it's the generous pour of highly decent wine talking, but that was a five star dining experience and Jennifer is my new bff. read more
