Beats BBQ ribs hands down. Service was great. Ashley B. = A+... Resting not to crowded. There was a longer than usual wait for the orders to come out. But the server constantly brought out fresh, warm bread with the seasoned olive oil. Lemon water and kids drinks stayed full. Restaurant and floors are clean. The added special added touch is that the tables are nice and sanitary, with the fresh butcher paper placed over each cloth. So this time for me, this day, it was a good visit. To say my husband and I were excited to be dining at one of my favorite restaurants to only be disappointed at the end is an understatement. Our orders were Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, with Sautéed Spinach and Fries and Chicken Marasala with Garlic Potatoes and Sautéed Asparagus. Where should I begin?! Well, my husband received Bang Bang Shrimp that wasn't in shells. His Sautéed Spinach was Creamy Spinach. My Chicken Marsala was super dry. The asparagus was sweet.If my memory serves me right, the chicken used to be cooked in a red sauce. Well, the sauce that was added on the bottom of the chicken had a yellowish color to it. Why it was on the bottom of the chicken, beats me! Unfortunately, this will be our last time dining here. Usually not a Bonefish fan (Irvine store) but this store won me over with drinks, bread and service alone. A delicious cold beverage and warm tasty bread makes one happy camper. Kristin our server was on top of things and couldn't have been nicer, along with the manager. Now as for the food ( forgot the pic of my entree). The wedge salad was crisp with a mild blue cheese and tasty toppings, would order again. But I probably wouldn't order the tilapia again, it was underwhelming, au gratin potatoes that were bland and sautéed spinach that had no seasoning. Eatable but not delicious. This past weekend (2/22/2020) I tried the Saucy Shrimp & Grits from Bonefish Grill in Collierville for brunch. This meal was infused with limes, roasted tomatoes, and goat cheese. Needless to say, I hated it! The shrimp tasted as if it was a little undercooked, the plate was hot while the food was almost cold. The grits could have been alright, but who wants cold grits? Not only was our food cold, our waitress/bartender was very unpleasant. You know, if you don't want to be at work don't make your guest suffer because we did not choose your job for you! We were celebrating my moms birthday and although we enjoyed our time, the service was horrible. The experience took me by surprise because I was just here last Sunday for my birthday and Leah (our bartender/server) was so NICE AND ATTENTIVE! We did NOT have Leah on Saturday because she was off. Our bartender/server never came to clean our table off, and the pictures I will include is everything I had to move to get her attention! This is very unacceptable and it really sucks because she's treated people like this before. read more

I love the bang bang shrimp, and my service was good. One of my shrimp was not deveined. I mentioned it and nothing was really done for me. My total was 42$ to be served shrimp digestive tract.. shrimp poop. I lost my appetite and just took the rest of my food Togo. I have been to this location several times and have always had good food and service. Today I placed a to go order so I could get back home before the streets got slick again. This time the experience wasn't so good. I had a coupon for free bang bang shrimp. I told them this when I called in with my order. When I showed up the food was ready, but the bill didn't deduct the coupon. The lady ran to the back and took at least 5 minutes to come back. It took so long that a dozen people were lined up behind me at this point. Another lady started seating them. Now a phone call comes in and my person takes the order (another 5 minutes at least). All dozen customers are seated and she is still on the phone. She hangs up and tells me that she will have to go get my change. To the back again. She arrives and gives me a $5 which is not everything she owed me, but I don't care anymore. I just want to get home. The sweet tea I ordered came in a cup that couldn't have held more than 6 ounces, but they forgot to charge me for it anyway. By the time I get home everything is nice and cold. I am a fan of Bonefish Grill, but I will never place a to go order again. You get last priority. read more

I came to Bonefish to try a burger grilled on a wood fire. It wasn't too bad, but it certainly won't make my list of best burgers. It cost way too much money to be less than exceptional. I sat at the bar and asked what kind of wood fueled their grill and the bartender said cedar. Cedar? Certainly not! She went to the kitchen and returned and said they told her oak. Ok, oak is very good to cook burgers with. Fish, not so much. I'm not a grill expert so I was excited to try it. The menu lists it as an 8 ounce American Kobe Beef burger which is bullshit. By definition, Kobe must come from Japan and there are hundreds of criteria they follow to raise these beasts. There's less than a dozen places in America that serve it and they have to be certified. Kobe is so rare that it can be unavailable in America for years at a time. It can cost a couple hundred bucks an ounce, so who the hell would make burgers out of it? I'll tell you exactly what American Kobe is. It's a false marketing method designed to increase the perception of quality and to justify a higher price. If they are selling Wagyu, there's nothing wrong with it. It's good beef for burgers. The hard working Japanese farmers are trying to push legislation that would make it illegal to falsely advertise this lie. The bartender didn't ask me how I preferred it to be cooked and I didn't think to mention it. It took a little over 20 minutes to get it on my table which is too long. When I did get it, it was cooked way, way too much. Not to the point of being burned into carbon, but you don't overcook a burger you are proud of. And you damn sure don't serve it. For a $13 "American Kobe" burger, they must be proud. I wasn't. The flavor of the grill was excellent. If this had been executed properly, it really would have been incredible. I did not have a scale, but I don't believe this was a half pound. I've eaten my share of burgers and this one was thin. I believe it to be more along the lines of 1/3 pound. The brioche bun just wasn't the right choice for this burger. It was delicious, but would have been perfect with spinach dip or with tea. It was also too sweet for a burger. Where the meat was small, the bread was way too big. The ratio was all out of proportion. I loved the cheddar and red onions, but I hate shredded lettuce. I deserve a nice, crisp leaf. The mayo was applied well without being too messy. The pre-frozen, breaded potato fries were fine, but they don't serve enough to share. The interior is really nice. I'm not into wine, but it looks like a great place for wine lovers. Cook me a true, fresh 1/2 lb angus or wagyu (and call it what it is), cook it on that oak fired grill, temp it medium to medium well, and serve it on a fresh Kaiser or Potato bun with a leaf of lettuce, I'll give you five stars and come back every chance I get. read more

Been to Bonefish many times so wanted to revisit. Ate here last night and started with bang bang shrimp. I've had it many times before, but this time it was slathered in mayonnaise and all of the batter was dissolved off the shrimp. For my entree I got the grouper Oscar (on the specials menu) and a house salad. The salad didn't have hearts of palm on it bc they were out. Of course there was no notice of this or discount in price of the salad. Then they piled the entrees on top of our salads so I had to finish my salad while my entree sat there getting cold. My fish was good, but the "Oscar" consisted of a half teaspoon of crab meat and the asparagus was cooked so long it was mushy and brown. Very disappointing evening. read more

Last time my husband and sister in law got food poisoning from them from some entree they ordered (I wasn't with them) but I still wanted to come back because did I mention I really love the bang bang shrimp? Anyway the last time I came I saw some crazy things that make me not want to come to this location again. I saw a server slap another servers behind and two other servers chatting it up in the back by the bar while many patrons were waiting for their servers to attend to them. I was beyond shocked when I saw the first two flirting with each other over and over again but when it came down to touching inappropriately in my eyesight that pretty much crossed the line. I so like this place, the shrimp is quite good. The Collierville location is good, and the service is always very nice. I think the menu is a well rounded and if you find a favorite you will likely be pleased. No problems, just good food. The shrimp selection is very good, sautéed with garlic, feta, olives and peppers, bang bang shrimp is a crispy creamy dreamy choice and the Thai with sweet pepper sauce is always good and the obvious coconut shrimp. While they are not Gulf fresh, they are pretty damn good to be so far from the ocean. There is a lot of grilled fish choices, only tempura style Alaskan cod for fried, but it is very good. There's a couple steaks and soups and a bang bang shrimp taco, plus there's oysters, lobster tails lamb, pork chops, a burger and different daily specials. The food was pretty decent. However the service was awful. The young guy who came to take our order was never there. My girlfriend and I ran out of drink and never got refills. However she did finally get one when she had to ask for one after he had been to the table a good three times by then. The food was great and Patricia (my waitress) was and is always even better! I don't like that the restaurant changed who does what. From my understanding, the servers aren't responsible for a lot of their normal duties any more. In my opinion, that will lead to a poor customer experience. For example: the person who poured my tea gave me sweet and not unsweet. I have had Patricia multiple times (I always ask for her), and she has never and probably would never screw that up. In my opinion, this change will negatively impact the good server's money and probably their retention with your company. Don't lose good people over some stupid decision! Go back to the old way! This place has gone down hill since the last time we were here. Maybe Covid has resulted in less staff or less competent staff. The vibe was just off. The restaurant was virtually empty and yet customers waited at the door for seating. We were promised bread but waited too long for it. It was good when it arrived. My husband was brought a beer in a bottle but offered no glass. The bathrooms were in disarray. Maybe the day shift are not as motivated as evening when it might be busier. Overall the food was delicious. Ahi tuna never disappoints here and the blackened fish tacos had a mango salsa that was wonderful. To end the experience though our server brought us our check while we were still eating without anticipating (or offering) we might want dessert or more drinks. read more

This is my first visit and grateful there were calorie counts on the menu of I would have been stuffed! Get the lime tomato garlic sauce for dipping your Chilean sea bass - it's apparently no longer on the menu but they still have it. One of the worst experiences I've had at this restaurant in Collierville. After being seated and waiting for table setup water arrived with black particles in the glass as well as outside, we requested fresh water it was brought again with black particles floating in water. Then we were told the restaurant had no bread .we placed order for appetizer that arrived 23minutes later with the tiniest calamari rings we've ever seen! At the same time the entrees were being placed. I asked that they hold the entrees while we tried to eat the appetizers...., so we asked for manager since it was becoming frustrating with the service and quality of the food...she was very apologetic and refunded the appetizers. Now for the entrees the child's meal grilled shrimp was blackened to the point of rubber, the fish and chips had been refried because the fish inside of breading was tough and dark, the Mexican corn was the most awful taste of spices and the codfish was tough and chewy. Horrible horrible meal. I have visited this restaurant chain many times in Collierville and other cities and was always pleased but I will not return to any of them. I hope they rethink their quality and presentation of their food because they have lost my family and I as customers. read more

While nothing we had was particularly creative, everything we had was quite good and fresh: cobia, tuna, ribeye, with sides and salad, nicely prepared. Entrees arrived very shortly after salads arrived; not a real problem, just noting that food arrival could be better spaced. Very good, reasonably priced Acrobat Pinot Noir, excellent espressos after dinner for all, while two in our party enjoyed the key lime pie. Nice comfortable restaurant. I know everyone has some turnover, however it is up to management to uphold the standards and properly train the staff to said standards.
