Brussels sprouts salad with shrimp
Deb H.

Awesome job today bonefish in Hyde Park! Food was a spot on, Cod imperial dish, brussels sprouts salad with grilled shrimp, and our server, Kat, was terrific!

Mango bourbon

Patty was great and attentive! She was timely with service. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were fine, but the rice was too sticky. Didn't like the texture because I like individual grains. The salmon was over cooked! It was well done and a bit dry, but I didn't ask for a redo. Most times, I'm asked how would I like my salmon cooked. This time I wasn't, so I didn't make a big fuss about it. The Mango bourbon drink was tasty. The right amount of sweetness and a kick. The restaurant had a steady flow, but wasn't too crowded because it was right before dinner time.

Bonefish is always a great time. They are currently having the $5 martinis and margaritas on Mondays. The drink pairing dinner they have every month is well worth it and enjoyable. The social hour is also a good value with drinks and light bites reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking in the lot. Matt is my favorite bartender, he always gives great service. The manager is really nice and always tries to make sure a great experience is had. My only complaint is the dim lighting, it drives me crazy sometimes.

Bang bang chicken

Sometimes you just want a good happy hour : with good food and good drinks. $7 blueberry lemon drops with bang bang chicken .(not going to lie I rather the shrimp but it was served hot ). And it wouldn't be a girls dinner without fries. It's dim Lit moody place and a spot at the bar sealed the deal . Sometimes I don't need a grass wall and. $21 drink . Some of the old places still got it .

Split Chilean Sea Bass

Our experience at the Hyde Park Bonefish was really good. Attentive friendly service paired with fast delivery of our orders throughout out our dinner. You have to know what you're getting and know that you're eating at a chain restaurant. If you keep that in mind then Bonefish is great. We particularly like Hyde Park vs the Ky Crescent Springs location as this one is more relaxed and quieter. Overall Bonefish is good and moderately priced.

This restaurant was amazing for dinner. They had good food, great service, and lots of options for drinks as they have a full bar. The table was big enough for all six of us and we ate a lot of food that came with each entree. The bread was tasty which we took part in as we were able to have a nice slow dinner. The restaurant was not too loud and all the waiters were very helpful in choosing entrees as well as helping with different needs at the table.

Bang Bang shrimp was free for Dine Rewards members this evening.

Off night tonight as my house salad was a little too wet, not crisp and the dressing was definitely different, and Mimi couldn't say if they changed it or not. The corn chowder was delicious. Not overly salty, which soups tend to be. Mimi was a little busy and tended to others who arrived before us. We were a little neglected for most of our visit tonight. You can tell she is efficient if she was able to pay proper and respectful attention.

Cod Imperial

Finally, I'm back in town to try all the restaurants here again! Decided to give bonefish a shot as people were singing praises about their seafood. We got their bang bang shrimp, cod imperial, and signature pasta. Was too hungry and kind of devour that bang bang shrimp before I remembered to take a picture of it. I personally like their bang bang shrimp best. It's lightly battered, which allows you to taste the shrimp, and that special suace really compliments it. The service was good too. Our waitress constantly checks on us to make sure we are good. Even though we can't decide what we want to order. We gave her a couple of options that what we're interested in, and she gave us her recommendations. Honestly, I would still choose firebird over this, though. Still prefer my filet mignon

Brussel Sprouts

I was highly disappointed. The seabass had no seasoning whatsoever, and it was drenched a sweet sauce to cover the lack of flavor. Served over plain white rice that did nothing to help. The brussel sprouts were mid at best. My Calamari came out room temperature. Never again

Swordfish & Pumpkin Ravioli

Best bonefish location in the city - hands down!!! I've been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed! The service, food and ambiance is top tier. I dined in with friends for a late lunch. We are absolutely obsessed with the bang bang shrimp, so we opted for the "big bang shrimp" appetizer to share. It was perfect - per usual, definitely a must try ! The sauce has a subtle spice that blends well with the other flavors. I got the chicken and shrimp entree which was fresh and flavorful. One of my friends got the lily chicken and she liked it a lot - but wasn't a fan of the cold slaw side she chose, it was a bit chunky. My other friend got the swordfish and ravioli entree and she loved it! The pairing was surprisingly amazing - the swordfish was cooked to perfection. Hats off to the chef! We shared the margarita pitcher and were not disappointed. The pitcher is smaller than expected so if it's more than two people I would suggest getting two pitchers or a bottle of wine. Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall 5/5 highly recommend for any celebratory event.

Enjoyed every bite!

Their BangBang shrimp tacos are phenomenal! Not some skimpy little tacos that don't full you up. Everything was so good.

We stopped by after a visit to the Newtown Candy shop. We took some lobster roll kits and clam chowder home. They pride themselves on fresh seafood regularly flown in from around the world. Their pricing is double Jungle Jims and triple kroger. Can't say good or bad until we try the fresh fish. For example they have many types of Salmon from around the globe. $49.99 for Sea Bass is pricey for me. I think Halibut was $39.99 a pound and the salmon was $20-$30 a pound. They also make their own sides. The clam chowder had too many potatoes. On Friday and Saturday nights they cook a few meals out back in a small tent/room. Main items are Lobster Rolls and Fish n chips.

We weren't sure everything sounded good on the tasting menu, but we decided we were gonna give it a whirl anyway. Every single dish was delicious. The blend of flavors and textures was absolutely perfect. They really know what they're doing. One of those items we weren't sure about was the Croqueta, but it was delicious. The second was the beet salad, and oh my gosh, it was perfect. The pistachios, with the beets peaches, arugula, and the sauce, all paired so well. Then they brought out the poached lobster and we didn't want anything but poached lobster after that. We did not think they could top that. But then came the pasta and wow! I just can't go on enough about how great each dish was. I included a picture of the tasting this week just so you can see. Can't wait to try another one next time. Alfio's Buon Cibo is fantastico!

There is bread service, but it comes out with the meal; the butter was amazing, though I wish the bread itself matched the rest of the food in terms of quality. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and attentive, checking on us multiple times. Plan to be here for about two hours, as they truly let you enjoy your meal at your own pace. Overall, a great dining experience!

We were greeted upon entering my the host and manager Seated immediately at a pristine table. Our waitress, Devon explained several items on the menu and made recommendations based on customer likes. We started with the focaccia bread. Lightly toasted. With our choice of herb butter or olive oil. Perfect, we ate every bite. Then we had the beet salad Red & Golden beets thinly sliced with fresh herbs and goat cheese. A lot of thought went into making this dish perfect thank you chef My lady ordered the filet and I had the 14oz Choice Strip Steak. Both incredibly tender and served with a variety of sauces. Bone broth, chimichurri, and herb butter. All the sauces were fabulous with me, preferring the bone broth. Our side dish of roasted herbs brussels sprouts, and cauliflower in balsamic glaze, very tasty. We did the big finish with a large slice of delicious carrot cake. (I will be booking this option from now on.) I ordered the surf and turf seasonal option with lobster and filet mignon cooked medium. I was surprised when a sea scallop I didn't order and a small glass of wine spritzer popped up but this is part of the chefs table experience - it was a sea scallop grilled with a chimichurri sauce and some crispy prosciutto. I would have never ordered this on my own so it was nice to try. I am a not a huge seafood person - the minute I cut into it I smelled the sea which was a turn off and I wasn't a fan of the texture but once I cut into tiny pieces and mixed with the sauce and the proscuitto I was able to actually find myself enjoying the dish plus boy did it look pretty coming out! The chefs table is nice because you get to watch everything be cooked - the mac and cheese looks amazing every single time - omg I must try it sometime. My waitress was phenomenal with purple and blue hair and the glittery eye shadow. She was so attentive and helpful. The steak was so juicy and cooked perfectly - I think next time I would get a larger steak or the grilled shrimp option as I wasn't the biggest fan of the lobster tail but still finished it. The salad was okay - I wish it had ranch instead. I also got the orange cream cloud for dessert to go which was shockingly light, airy and delicious - the citrus flavors with the passion fruit are so refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try something new . The place is beautifully decorated and they offer free parking options - the music is very low so you can have a conversation and even the chefs table wasn't too loud even though it was right next to the kitchen.

Once we were all in our places with bright shiny faces, we all ordered the thanksgiving special meal. It included just about everything you can imagine being served at Thanksgiving. Three pieces of white meat turkey, which was pretty tender. I small pile of dark meat pieces. Mashed potatoes and gravy, with the gravy covering the turkey and the potatoes. There was dressing, sweet potato casserole (?), green beans and cranberry sauce. It was a LOT of tasty food. Nothing was extraordinary, but it was all good. Oh, we ordered and I swear to goodness the food arrived moments later. I am sure they were moving a lot of these plates and had a process for quick turnaround, but I had to wonder if our plates had been sitting for a while. I suppose if they were it wasn't for long. Nothing was cold or congealed. It seems like their process was working. The meal came with a mini cake type thing in a jar. There were lots of options. Mark and I opted for the special pumpkin with ginger and Jen had s'mores chocolate. The pumpkin one was absolutely delicious. Jen let us try the chocolate one and let's just say I was very glad I opted for pumpkin. When the bill arrived the desserts were added on separately. I mentioned they should be included to our server, who said he would check. Now... it seems unlikely we were his first customers of the day and it seems odd that he would have the desserts added separately. He did check; I saw him. I also saw the person he was checking with shake her head 'yes'. He reran the checks without the desserts. I will say it was nice to have a traditional thanksgiving meal without the traditional thanksgiving fuss. Because the food was average at best and because we were initially charged for desserts that were supposed to be included in the price, this experience comes in with a solid three stars.
