The restaurant was about a quarter full when we arrived for out reservation. My friend ordered the lobster bisque and we ordered the salmon for an entrée. The server brought the soup and not two minutes later brought the entrees. Terrible timing. The potatoes tasted heavily from garlic powder and looked and tasted like instant potatoes, not fresh and they were lukewarm to cold. The broccoli was also lukewarm. The salmon itself was very thin but not bad. I would not go back to this restaurant read more

This place is so reliable when it comes to consistent delicious food. The staff is super friendly and I love how the owner comes around to check on us. We always enjoy the experience when we go. Tonight we had the 2 fish specials. One was grouper and the other was black cod. Started with the bang bang shrimp and the mussels. Ended with the brownie and the lava carrot cake. Loved it ALL! Thanks to Megan the server and Adam for checking to make sure everything was perfect. read more

I tried 2 shrimps and was super spicy sent back and ordered another tuna dish that came with wasabi sauce . replaced it without wasabi sauce. it was ok . about 30 minutes after eating shrimp and tuna I was home with cramps and throwing up. will not go back. we ate at the plantation fl store. read more

Bonefish in Boca Raton has an upscale look and feel while being relatively affordable. We like their fish selections for the most part, although on a recent visit my swordfish dish was overwhelmed with toppings. Drinks are good and service is prompt and friendly. read more

This used to be one of my fiancé and I's favorite dinner date spots but today it was super underwhelming. I guess it has been a while since we were here last but we used to frequent often and so much has changed. First off the menu changed - now instead of main lobster they have rock lobster which is typically a lower quality lobster and its much more expensive. They no longer have the combos where they would have two meats/fish and 2 sides and you can add something on however, it is utterly expensive for the quality they are now putting out. (Used to have steak and lobster tail for like $40 now it would have been about $65) We both got a special which was listed as a filet topped with shrimp and scallops. Since it was not specified I assumed the normal larger sized shrimp and sea scallops. It was bay scallops and tiny shrimp in a garlic butter white wine sauce- it was ok but just felt like the quality was poor. The steak was incredibly bland, literally NO flavor or seasoning. The asparagus same thing- incredibly bland like they boiled it - the sauce was not even on the asparagus. The bang bang shrimp and mac and cheese was still the same and yummy. Our server was very nice and attentive. When he asked us if everything was ok we told him it was a bit underwhelming and explained the food was bland and it wasn't what we were expecting. He told us he understood and sent out a brownie as an apology. When the manager came over and asked what was wrong we told him that we felt like the food was very bland compared to coming previously and his response was "well look around, its mostly old people so" and shrugged his shoulders. The server mentioned new kitchen staff so to lighten it my fiancé said well we heard you have some new staff so maybe thats why and it seemed he got very defensive. Manager did agree that the quality of BFG overall has changed drastically with their new menu. Overall found the manager to be fairly rude, he gave us 10% off which really we werent expecting nor cared about. It would have been nicer if we felt heard and respected, a simple "we hear you and we are going to work on this thank you" would have been nice and maybe I wouldn't find myself here... read more

Got to the place in time for lunch. It was not pack and plenty of available seats. The waitress was very friendly and asked if we needed refills for our soda drinks. The food this time around especially the Bang Bang shrimp was very spicy. I enjoyed it but for those who cannot stand the heat best to get another appetizer. The poke bowl tuna hit the spot after being outdoors in the amazing weather. However the coleslaw was very disappointing and had a weird taste so I would not recommend ordering this again. Overall it was a good lunch. read more

We have been Bone Fish customers for over 20 years. We have always enjoyed the food and the service, but during our last visit to the new location at Uptown Boca on a Wednesday afternoon, we made the mistake of sitting at the counter bar. The bartender, a young woman, was extremely rude. We tried to understand and be reasonable, but it was impossible. There were times when she raised her voice at us and others at the counter bar, just for asking her for service. It seemed as if she wanted the customers to leave. It was an unusual situation and a surprise to us knowing the type of service we were used to receiving at Bonefish. read more

Sat for dinner and ordered. Cesar salad arrived and was fine. 45 min later the waiter not the manager told us they did not have what I ordered. After 45 min the waiter should not be sent by the manager to take responsibility. Make sure you are not hungry and have lots of time before going to this restaurant. read more

Another visit to Bonefish and as expected, great service and delicious seafood dishes. Excellent mocktail- I just asked the server to ask bartender to make me one per his specialty. He made me a virgin lime Dacquiri . IMO, it's amazing if you can't have alcohol. As for our dishes - Mahi - mahi is grilled and yet juicy. Perfectly cooked and paired well with chimichuri sauce. My husband ordered his favorite pan seared rainbow trout. read more

Usually dine in. But tonight I picked up the snow crab leg entree for $29. Very disappointed - crab legs were skinny, no butter and the smallest little scoop of side dish I've ever seen. Not worth the money. Now I feel like this restaurant skimps for takeout orders. Sorry, did not think to take a pic. Just sharing my experience. read more

The last time I was at a bonefish Grill it was in Saint Simons Island, Georgia. That location wasn't terrific, but I figured I would try this one in Boca Raton. Sat at the bar order the mahi-mahi and shrimp dinner. Food and service were very excellent. The only negative is, I ordered a Manhattan before dinner, and it was shaken not stirred. Other than that, A+ service. read more

Although Bonefish is a chain, I love the food. Not all locations are the same & this one fell short in a few areas. Still a four star review due to the fact the service was incredible. I stopped in for lunch and I sat in a very comfortable booth in the bar. Sergio was my amazing server and he fixed the few issues I had; quickly and efficiently. He was just awesome! I was happy when I left & that's all that really matters to me. I had a great lunch and I was 100% satisfied. I limited myself to a small piece of the piping hot bread. I didn't want to fill up on bread, but it was so delicious. Bang Bang Shrimp is a must when dining at Bonefish. I always order it without the lettuce. Unfortunately, the shrimp were heavily sauced which made the shrimp very soggy. I mentioned it to Sergio and he quickly brought me out a fresh order with the sauce on the side. The shrimp in batch #2 were crispy and were delectable as always. As for the no lettuce, that's just my preference - the lettuce is fine. My house salad with extra kalamata olives (you know my olive obsession) & no tomatoes was delicious. The salad is unique because of the added hearts of palm and sunflower seeds. The citrus vinaigrette was terrific as usual. I love the dressing because it's so light and flavorful. Love this salad! The crab cake platter included two sides; for a minimal upcharge you can substitute the salad. I love the house salad and I always do this. The potatoes au gratin were loaded with melted cheese and were quite scrumptious. If you haven't tried them you should, they are ridiculously good. I have been eating the crab cakes at Bonefish for years & I have had them at various locations. I didn't care for them here because they tasted very fishy and they were so salty. I didn't say anything because I was using a gift card from a Yelp event I attended a few nights ago at another one of their other restaurants. I felt funny sending them back, especially after I sent the shrimp back. I am salt sensitive, so maybe it was just me, I don't know. I am sure if I spoke up they would have offered me something else, it was my choice not to mention it. Despite the crab cakes, I am glad I stopped in here and I enjoyed my lunch very much. I had the pleasure of meeting the managing partner, Adam Chieffalo. We had a nice chat & I think Adam is wonderful & also quite fortunate to have Sergio as part of his team. The restaurant is clean and the bar is nice and cozy. Yes, it's a chain but it's a darn good one! read more

I like to go to my local Bonefish but after tonight service I'll think twice. Sat at the bar for awhile with no service a hello we will be with you in a few. Sad as this location needs regular customers Like may self and with Whole Foods opening soon it will be where should we sit as there will be so many empty seats. Carlos the manager when you give advice or complain he does nothing bad food/ service still get charged for everything not right it's ok as I'll also be calling corporate. Sad to say stay away as there other restaurants in the same plaza offering better service. I do need to say Gabe one of the bartenders is spot on awesome always goes above and beyond for each and every customer. read more

Went here for dinner, place looked nice. Bartender was right there for what I wanted to drink. Her job was excellent. Now for the food,,I ordered fish&chips when the order came out I asked if they could make the fries crispy they did. As for the fish it Sucked it looked like at came from Gordon's frozen fish and small. No crispness soggy thank god for tartar sauce and ketchup. When I go to my English Pub there's golden crispy and the fish taste great. I won't be returning to this place,I'll eat at my English Pub. read more

Their menu is very diverse. Everything looks and tastes so good. Great variety of drinks. Friendly wait staff.

Our server was wonderful. The food, however, was "meh." I had a lukewarm mahi mahi/shrimp combo with overcooked broccoli that had something on it, which looked like it may have been scraped off someone else's plate. My brother's medium rare burger came medium well. My sister-in-law enjoyed her orange roughy but passed on the overcooked broccoli. read more

An impromptu stop after picking up our race packets at the neighboring HEW, my friend and I visited Bonefish for Happy Hour. The bar bites menu is small; however, the five options are a nice variety. A few of the selections at this location include: mussels, potato skins, and sliders. The house wines and featured adult beverages to include martinis and extremely reasonable starting at $4. We ordered the Wagyu beef sliders along with the house Cabernet Sauvignon (Sycamore). The wine is a great deal for $4 and the pour was on point. The sliders are served on delicious potato buns and decorated with lettuce, tomato and a signature sauce. I can not speak to the quality of the sauce because I omitted mine being it's made with mayonnaise. The buns were fresh and yummy and the beef was grilled nicely. The meat had a great taste considering it was well done and the trimmings were the perfect amount. The serving size is two sliders and it makes for a great $6 meal. A neighboring patron ordered the mussels and these looked delicious. I'll definitely return to Bonefish for Happy Hour soon. Rumor has it, they feature $5 martinis on Mondays.... read more

Not impressed. I'm posting a pic of what my dinner was supposed to look like, vs how it came out. Shrimp and scallops were tiny and extremely over cooked. I think there were maybe 4 tiny scallops. Tomatoes in my salad were shriveled and sour tasting. Two stars because the steak was cooked right and the drinks were good. Won't be back though read more

We love the new space. It's spacious and cozy at the same time. We love coming here first for the food then for our most favorite server, Honesty, who's a joy. She is efficient and professional as well as funny and smart. We liked her so much the first time that we always request her and she always warmly welcomes us and makes us feel special. We like our hot food hot and she always gets it right. We eat here frequently and have never had a bad dinner. Last night we were so disappointed because she was working the bar but we were seated in a bar booth and as soon as she saw us because it was early, she came over, sat down, and chatted for a bit. She's like family now. BTW, we had Robert as our server and after Honesty, if she's not there, we'll request him. Great server too. (Everyone was masked which meant a lot) read more

We use to go to bone fish when they were on powerline rd here in Boca. So we went to the bone fish out at uptown shopping on glades rd. Service was fine!!!! The food not so good. We had a 5:30 PM reservation on a Monday night. They were not [yet] busy so we had no trouble getting seated. We started off with an order of Bang Bang Shrimp for the table. I thought it was a bit spongy (texture) for my taste, but others liked it. Bread was served to the table at no charge with an olive oil/seasoning mix to dip. It was wonderful! I ordered the Angler's Sirloin medium well. I got a few slices into it before deciding it was too tough. I did not see even a hint of pink, either. I had already started into my sides--the garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli (both wonderful). The server said they had received some complaints lately about steaks being undercooked so they wanted to avoid that. He apologized, though, and said they'd put another on. A couple minutes later, he swung by to get the original piece to show the kitchen. It probably took 15 minutes for me to get my replacement steak. He served the complete dinner plate, though, with another serving of both sides. I appreciated that. He also came by three times to let me know it was cooking and apologized for any inconvenience. The replacement steak was good. The sides were very good. The bread was very good. The shrimp was okay. They handled the situation well and for that I gave 4 stars rather than 3. I noticed a half-pound hamburger with cheese and french fries on the menu for $14.90. Remember they also serve the bread gratis. This is a better deal than Wood & Fire. I would be interested in trying this next time. read more

I ordered take out of a salad and calamari. The salad was mediocre but the calamari was awful. I regret spending over $20 for something that tasted predominantly like fried bread!! Service was good. Ambience fair Food inedible- we ordered mussels, rainbow trout, chicken snd shrimp, salmon and shrimp, Brussel sprouts, a bunch of sides, steak and snd bang shrimp. The bang bang shrimp and steak were good. Everything else not. My husband will eat just about anything and always takes the leftovers home. He could not eat the mussels and passed on taking anything home. We have eaten in other Bonefish Grill restaurants and enjoyed the food and ambience. Maybe this one needs a little more time to tweak it. read more

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner on 8/3/24. Our appetizer of Bang Bang shrimp was not as good as it usually is, due to the smaller sized shrimp. We ordered from the three course dinner, and I got the pork chop for my entree. The chop was tough and very fatty. My boyfriend's meal of mango shrimp and scallops came out cold (all of the sides on the plate were cold as well). We had to send his meal back to be recooked, so I ate by myself. Our server was poorly attentive, and seemed upset when we complained. We got our dessert to go (a brownie with ice cream) which I thought was inedible and pasty. To top it all off, both of us ended up spending the evening in the bathroom getting sick. Never going back. read more

There's always a catch. And this place has it's own. Keep reading to find out what, but it's a doozy. I enjoy seafood of all types and I really enjoy when a good restaurant is consistent in quality and selection. That's one of the reasons I am leaving a 5-star review. The food is really excellent, the service is great and the restaurant is comfortable, attractive and for the most part, easy to get to. Last time I went for dinner, I skilled my usual Almond Crusted Trout and decided to stick with appetizers. We had the Brussel Sprouts which are served crispy with melted cheese, garlic, and oil, in a big heaping bowl. They are amazing. Just be sure to ask them to leave out the croutons because they are bland, take up space and make you fat. The other appetizer we ordered was the Bang Bang Shrimp. At other restaurants, the shrimp in this dish are tiny and mostly bread. Not here, they are big and crunchy, cooked perfectly with a spicy orange sauce on top. Just those alone were more than enough for two people to have for dinner. But that Almond Crusted Trout is to die for. It's heaven. And it's likely a whole fish, there's a lot there. I usually split that or take the other half home. If you like mixed drinks, they are reasonably priced and come quickly. If you want something special, they are very happy to accommodate. Overall, this is my favorite seafood restaurant. But now, the catch. It's jam-packed all the time. You can barely find a parking spot in their lot. But, if you can get a reservation if you can get a parking spot, then most definitely go and enjoy some of the best seafood in South Florida! read more

I really dislike giving negative reviews. I am a regular at a Bonefish but not this particular restaurant. Generally I am very happy the food and the service is generally great. At this specifics bonefish restaurant the service was borderline awful. I had a reservation I was told it will be ready in a few minutes, he gave me one of those electronic box that would tell me my table is ready. Fourth five minutes later I came back the hostess. With the lip service type of apology, you know the type where the words are true but there's no belief said it will be a few more minutes. To me a reservation is worthless if I'm there for more than 20 minutes. I probably would give only one star but the food was actually pretty good. read more

Not only is Wednesday hump day but it's also Bang day (whoa, hello dirty innuendo!) $5 bang bang shrimp all day long at Bonefish! I love going to the bar, having a $3 glass of their house red (they have merlot and cabernet), noshing on their terrific, fresh bread with the olive oil and basil and people watching. You get a nice mix at this Bonefish location---the functioning alcoholics, the Boca-ites and then once in a blue moon, the normal people. I get all that and walk out the door for $10, you can't beat that! PS-Parking sucks at this location due to the other shops and restaurants. Bonefish has a valet station set up in front but not sure how much it is. Your best bet is to park on the side of the shopping center behind Boardwalk Burgers. read more

Uptown Boca location serves good food BUT the kitchen prep and waiter service is slow. We Sat down immediately but waited 15 minutes for a waiter but the place was fairly empty on a weekday lunchtime. After reviewing menu we waited another 20 minutes to have order taken. Then the food arrived 40 minutes later. We ordered dessert and coffee, then waited long for the check. Working people cannot afford to take nearly 2 hours for lunch. They need to add a few Lunch Specials they can get out quickly! Nice atmosphere and good food, easy parking but too slow. read more

I love Bonefish Grill. The food is great and the service is great. It is the only restaurant I will go to during the pandemic. I've enjoyed Bonefish Grill for many years now. The food is always delicious and who does not love the bang bang shrimp after all? I think it must have been Bonefish that introduced this shrimp fish that you see so many other restaurants copying. I went for lunch with my friend the other day and had another pleasant experience. We ordered a few appetizers and of course some of their specialty martinis. Our server, Rob was super attentive and helpful answering all of my questions because as usual I was too indecisive. Of course he brought some warm bread with olive oil dipping sauce for the table which is always very very good. For drinks we started out with the crushed pineapple martini and the tropic heat martini. The tropic heat was delicious and had a jalapeño sugar rim which really gave it a kick. The pineapple martini was made with coconut rum and was a bit too sweet for me. I did not complain about it but Rob saw my face when I tasted it and asked me if it was OK. When I told him it was a bit too sweet for me but still tasty he offered to swap it out for a new drink which was really great. I opted for the pomegranate martini and that was delicious. He also gave us a sample of their white and red sangria both which had fresh fruit in them and were absolutely yummy too. For lunch we split the Kung Pao brussel sprouts which was on the specials menu. Sooo good! We also tried the Aji tuna appetizer which as well was very good and the corn and crab chowder and house salad. The dressing on their house salad is a citrus vinaigrette and it is so tasty. I've had their shrimp Cobb salad before with this dressing and it's just delicious. Other items in the past that I've tried of course were the bang bang shrimp and bang bang shrimp tacos which were so good you can't go wrong with either. They also have delicious mussels and fish specialty dishes. If you're not in the mood for seafood the lily's chicken or fontina pork chop are both very good. Plus each month they have a specials menu with seasonal items (and specialty drinks). Hopefully they will bring back some of the delicious items they had in the past like the saucy shrimp or the ceviche. The saucy shrimp was so good. The kitchen would happily oblige us by preparing it over pasta for a main dish which was not on the menu. Oh they have a great happy hour with $6 drinks. Can't go wrong there! Even though Bonefish is a chain it's always a delicious option and you can't go wrong. read more

Bang bang shrimp is always a hit. Ambiance was weird. Too lit. Service was very bad. Timing was off. 15min for our drink order. Then 30+ minutes for our dinner AFTER we got our salad. Mahi was dry and inedible. Potatoes tasted processed. No refill on water. I had to reach for the pitcher of water myself after asking our server (he forgot). No ice in the pitcher.
