Service was quick and attentive. Food was good but pricier than I would like. When it comes to just the food and service, it is easily a four out of five. Now onto the total experience, it would definitely be a two out of five. We came here for a birthday celebration but the vibes were slightly ruined because of the party next to us. The party next to us was celebrating an engagement that occurred right before their dinner. Not sure if the restaurant was aware as once the newly engaged couple and others joined, they had to bring many chairs to fit the whole group. They were a bit rude and obnoxious, but we tried to understand to the best of our ability as it was a joyous occasion for them. Whether it was constant flashing (photos) for 2 hours or bumping into us while they got around the table, we really tried to understand. I commend the staff for trying to calm the situation down for both our party and the party next to us as frustrations were shared. Appreciate the comped desserts for dealing with the party next to us.

Big Eye Tuna Tarts

Big eye tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, grilled octopus, pan roasted salmon, pressed eel roll, lobster tempura roll, bread pudding... of the 7 items, I would reorder 3 - the big eye tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, and bread pudding Are the vibes cute? Yes. The service? Excellent. But if I'm going to a restaurant, I expect to be blown away by the food, not just the vibes and service. The big eye tuna tarts and tuna crispy rice were packed with flavor and I would definitely recommend. The tuna crispy rice was really crispy, slightly spicy w the gochujang. I couldn't really taste the white truffle for the tuna tarts but the creamy ponzu was delicious I was most disappointed with the sushi rolls. Eel is one of my go to orders when I'm eating sushi and while it was good, it was nothing unique, besides the addition of the almonds, which weren't even toasted like they described. The lobster tempura roll was a major miss. The flavor profile was lacking lobster, when that should be the star of the dish. For the price tag of $62 for two rolls, definitely not worth it The grilled octopus and pan roasted salmon were good but I've had better versions at other restaurants The bread pudding, is to die for. Never had anything like it. SO SO DELICIOUS!!!

Upon entering, I didn't realize it's actually 3 floors! When we checked in on the 1st floor, we were guided to take the elevators upstairs. It's so dim inside and definitely makes the atmosphere more romantic, but the tables were a bit too close together so you lose that intimate feel. There were some big hits and serious misses. Both cocktails were expertly made and the perfect balance of sweet, aromatic, and luscious. I definitely recommend! The Big Eye Tuna Tarts was my favorite bite all night! It's light, luxurious, and delicate. I love that every layer was so thin but you can still taste every ingredient. The white truffle oil adds the perfect depth, the tart is light and crisp, and the tuna is so fresh and soft. It's definitely going down as one of my favorite bites of 2026. The Szechuan Yellowtail Sashimi had a clean, citrusy flavor more than a kick I was expecting from the Szechuan. It's not spicy at all but more zesty and umami. The A5 Wagyu Crispy Rice was one of their Specials menu items. It was savory fragrant but was lacking a "wow" factor. I would've preferred the A5 wagyu to be cooked or torched. Nothing else we got stood out or would order again. The Spicy Crispy Shrimp was not spicy or crispy. There was a good amount of sesame oil which I enjoyed but not enough to save it. Both rolls were good quality but not cohesive in flavor and felt like they lacked taste. We got 2 desserts but honestly, I'd skip dessert here and go somewhere else. Don't forget to grab a matchbook on your way out. Good try overall!

The food was fantastic and there were so many choices. The waiter was so helpful and suggested options for each section definitely get their help if it is your first time and save room for dessert. I loved the crispy rice app we got it was one of my favorites. The restaurant it self was beautiful lights with candle creating an intimate atmosphere.

Some of the best sushi I've had. The space is dimly let and the service was great! They have several floors, each with a different vibe to them. We started with the tuna tart and the scallops with cauliflower appetizers. The tuna tart was one of the best things I've eaten all year - worth the hype. The mixed green ginger salad was also incredible!! I got the spicy tuna roll and it was so fresh and amazing quality. Ended with the mochi ice cream (comes with 6 total, 2 of each of the 3 flavors). I fear that cheap takeout sushi is ruined for me because of how good this meal was.

Salmon crispy rice

Fantastic food and service. Vibe and ambiance were good but the restaurant is on 3 completely separate floors which was slightly odd. Prices were rich but to be expected.

My friend was raving about this spot on her previous NY trip, so on mine I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. We ordered the tuna tarts pizza, mushroom salad, salmon roll and a crispy shrimp roll along with shishito pepper margaritas. Everything was delicious. Everything. if you go, PLEASE GET THE TUNA TART PIZZA , you can thank me later :) The service was great. We sat at the bar, our bartender was so cute and kind & always had a smile on his face. & the place is cozy, cute and a whole vibe.

Was really looking forward to trying this place. However was about an hour plus late. So didn't get to sit at the upstairs place. We went downstairs. Low key vibe. Very nice. Dark. Romantic. Food incredible Peppers. Mushroom salad shrimp. Grilled octopus. I had to pack food to go. As was running out of time. Will return for more choices. Great place.

I knew this place was trendy, so I really didn't know what to expect of the food. But, I was completely blown away with our meal! So much so that I made another reservation immediately afterwards to bring my other friends here. The inside is very dark and intimate. We had a pretty big group, so we shared the tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, crispy shrimp, broiled sea bass, pork belly, skirt steak, spicy tuna roll, scallop roll, toro roll, and the bread pudding. Best dish here is definitely the tuna tarts. Our waiter recommended it, and I'm so glad we ordered it! It's not something that I would usually order, but I could eat like 5 of these myself. Other standouts were the tuna crispy rice, spicy tuna roll, and the miso sea bass. This sea bass tastes like the one at nobu but 100x better. The texture of the fish is indescribable. You just have to try for yourself! This place is pricey though, so it's a great spot for a date night or a special occasion dinner with friends. Or just a normal Friday night. I'm so excited to come back here!

Spicy Tuna Roll

An experience well worth the cost. Everything was delicious, from the salad and tuna crispy rice to the spicy tuna roll, and the ambiance is very nice and elevated. I also enjoyed my martini. Can't wait to go back one day!

The atmosphere and ambiance was great. The food (octopus and scallops) were just okay and nothing I would come back to try again. The service lacked....the main bartender, Miko, seemed to be under a lot of pressure with the demands of making drinks and was therefore not attentive to me and my partner. He definitely was not the friendliest and after we were served our food, he never came over to assure if our order was correct, how everything tasted, or if we needed anything else. For this type of establishment...please do better.

incredible dining experience!!! everything was fantastic from the food to the staff/service to the atmosphere. - big eye tuna tarts: just wow. get a whole one for yourself bc it's that good. the hint of truffle and the tuna paired with the subtle crunch of the cracker, perfect - crab salad: also excellent, really enjoyable rice cracker texture to go with the crab - tuna crispy rice: delicious, easily could eat the whole plate as well - salmon sashimi appetizer: jalapeño shishito sauce was great. acidity balance in this dish was perfect - king salmon, toro, uni sushi/sashimi: super fresh - sesame crusted shrimp roll: kind of dry and hard, the only one I'd probably pass on - jalapeño scallop roll: big scallop pieces - mushroom rice donabe: hearty and felt like such a nice comfort food - bread pudding: sooo good. chewy bouncy with still an airy texture - summer berries: bright and explosive fresh fruit flavors will be raving about this place. the staff were all so helpful and attentive and friendly. also spotted 2 nba players while dining here which was an extra bonus lol. amazing

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

They share a takeout menu and it's super easy to order--text what you want to the phone number on the website and pickup in ~20 minutes :). You pay on a handheld and they don't ask for tip for takeout. I love this process and truly wish more sushi restaurants in LA adopt the takeout box. The only one I know of is hefty but also $200 each lol, making Sanyuu's $69 omakase and $78 Everything don, not to mention the $30 giant salmon nigiri set, A STEAL! I enjoyed most of the pieces but I will say I don't like their amaebi or uni at all. I'm not sure what kind of uni is used here but it's the type with a very strong mineral flavor & aftertaste that I don't find enjoyable. We're spoiled by easy access to live spot prawns everywhere and fresh SB uni. Despite this, I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I lived in the city.

The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. At the time, I thought that seemed fair enough, but looking back, I'm not so sure. For what was left in the bowl, $30 still felt overpriced. The fish slices were cut extremely thin, and there was really only a single layer of fish, so overall it just wasn't very satisfying. That said, there are still quite a few items on the menu that caught my eye and that I'd like to try. I'm going to chalk this one up to ordering the wrong dish rather than writing the place off completely. One thing that did leave a bad impression, though, was the interaction at the end of the meal. The girl who brought our check wasn't exactly rude, but she seemed visibly annoyed when we asked about using Apple Pay but ended up putting the charge on my card and it felt like asking her to bring over the Apple Pay machine was somehow inconveniencing her. She also didn't bother asking whether I wanted my receipt. Maybe none of it was intentional, but her overall demeanor came across that way and left us ending the meal with a bad taste in our mouths.
