The food was decent enough, but seriously, $7 for french fries, $12 fried rice and $15 Bibimbap? Tables are super-small and close together, and chairs are very uncomfortable. I'd much rather go to Koreatown, Gangnam or Hodori any day, where the food will be more authentic and more appropriately priced, and I know I'm supporting local business people. Not sad that we went. This place was delicious! I was seated right away as the bar area was open. The bartender was friendly and helped me choose what to get. I went with the Korean Fried Chicken half spicy half soy garlic. The serving sizes were HUGE. The chicken was perfectly crispy. I loved the Soy Garlic flavor. I did not expect the spicy flavor to be flaming hot! I usually can handle spice but I had to order a cup of ranch just to finish them. Also my lips were burning still 30 mins after I left. I really dig Bonchon, the chicken strips are quality, white meat chicken and the sauces are all great. The regular soy garlic is my favorite, BUT a word of caution: they will not give you any extra on the side (apparently this is a corporate policy and strictly enforced)...so if your chicken comes out and doesn't have enough, ask them to take it back and sauce you up right! If you don't realize it until you've had a bite, then it's too late. Depending on who is making the food, I've had some instances where the strips were pretty heavily sauced (which also happened to be the time I tried the hot, and that stuff is no joke!), other times they have had just enough, and the last time I went they were a little dry. I find that splitting an order of ten strips and a side of fries is pretty filling. But overall, the food is excellent, service is good, and prices are fair. read more

I'm not even a fried chicken person - but this fried chicken is amazing! I'm going to guess that it's cooked via sous vide before it's quickly fried. The chicken is just very moist and cooked consistently. The breading is crispy and addictive. And - the smallest serving was the largest order of chicken I've ever seen. My BF and I split it and still had leftovers. Also - cocktails. It's hard to find a nice casual place with quality food AND good cocktails! I love that they have a small bar setting so I can go solo and be comfortable at the bar. Bonus points for the bartender for being friendly and extremely attentive. Do yourself a favor and just eat here. The chicken is flavorful and the texture of the breading is unreal. All the sides I've tried have been rad -- french fries, pickled radish, cole slaw, all of them are great. Beer selection is limited but it's not really their focus. Let me begine by saying the place is clean, the service is OK and the food is very good - so why the 3 star rating? Ok, here is why! First, lunch for two people was $40 plus tip. One Fried rice, one Coke Zero, one order of seasoned fries and two plates of mixed flavor chicken wings. The food is just not that exceptional to cost that much for lunch. Food! They do really shine in this area. The chicken has just the right crusty outside and is tasty and juicy inside. The "Spicy" one is different than traditional buffalo wings. It is hot but not too bad and the hot goes away instantly if you get the coleslaw. The coleslaw is just ok, not bad just ok, but it is tasty enough and it works like magic on the spicy heat factor. The fries actually are exceptional, as is the fried rice that I would have again. Service was acceptable but our server would show up, we would ask for something, and she would be gone for 15 minutes. At one point I asked another server for to go boxes. The table tops were almost falling off the table bases. They wobbled all over. They were busy or I would have moved. We made sure we had an elbow holding the top down so water and coke did not get spilled. And finally, after about half the chicken I ordered I began to not feel real good. That eventually progressed to the runs and nausea. I am pretty sure it was because it was food that was new to my system, and not any real issue with the food. So based on price, wobbly table tops, and my response to the food I gave it a 3 star rating. However, if you are in the area and want chicken I would still recommend you try it and make up your own mind, because the place was packed and, and lots of other people seemed very happy. read more

Came here for lunch and sat at the bar as I was hoping to just grab a quick bite. I ordered the wings- soy garlic 10pcs. Their complimentary sides include coleslaw, which to me, is gross. Pickled radish, which other than a pickled cucumber, also known as the pickle, I don't like pickled anything. No substitutions allowed, so I had to forfeit my sides and buy steamed rice, and since this was on the weekend, yes, you have to buy the steamed rice (if you go Mon-Fri 11a-2:30p, they offer the steamed rice as a complimentary side). My friend also forfeited her sides as she didn't like either of them, as well, and purchased fries. To be honest, I feel a bit... odd, I guess I'll use that word, paying $12.95 for wings that come with no sides, but having to pay $6.95 for fries was the silliest thing I have ever heard of, outside of being at a concert or the state fair. The food itself overall was not terrible, but it also wasn't the best. The wings were overly breaded and would've tasted better with ranch, which I couldn't get because we had to get our food to go because we had previous obligations, hence the "quick bite". The fries were dry and other than the parmesan cheese on top, had no taste. Thankfully they at least threw in some ketchup, so that added some extra flavor. Then the food took over 45 mins to arrive, so my quick bite turned into a long and expensive experience that I don't plan on ever re-living. read more

First time in. It's President's day and they are kinda busy although we were seated immediately. Ladies that worked there are very nice. But..... few things stood out. Ordered fried rice with chicken and 4 wings with 2 drumsticks. 1. Food on the floor. Wait staff seated folks where there was clearly a mess on the floor. My daughter mentioned it before the customers came in and stepped on rice and fries left behind from previous diners. 2. SUPER SLOW KITCHEN! Waited 30+ mins before we got anything. Rice came first. It was decent rice, I would order it again. But as lunch special at $10, serving was about 1 1/2 cups. Pathetic. 3. I asked for a fork and small plates. It took about 8 mins. When the young lady returned she notice of the 2 plates and forks one of each was dirty. Had to replace them. 4. It was another 30+ mins before we got the chicken. Rice was cold. We saw other tables complaining about the delays. They were offered an appetizer for the wait. We were offered change our order because there was a "mishap" in the kitchen. Saw a couple who came in 45 mins after us, get a HUGE order of chicken before us... 5. I gave 2 stars because the food was decent. Over priced, but ok. I've had Wings and Rice in Tucson and they are hands down better than this and reasonably priced. I hope Bonchon get their act together. For now, I will pass. 2 stars because I feel bad for the girl who work there, has to suck to apologize to all your customers! read more
