Brutal Experience- Saturday Night not busy at all This was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. The place was completely understaffed. There was basically one server trying to cover the entire restaurant, and while she was actually very nice, she was clearly brand new and completely overwhelmed. Management set her up for failure. It's not her fault -- but the result for customers was terrible service. The beer was flat, which is pretty inexcusable for a place that literally specializes in wings and beer. The kitchen was painfully slow, and when the food finally came out it was disappointing. The wings were cold and chewy, like they had been sitting around way too long before being served. The atmosphere felt neglected -- slow service everywhere, frustrated customers, and a general sense that nobody was really running the place. While I don't frequent Buffalo Wild Wings as often as I'd like, there's nothing like tasty wings every now and then, especially for someone like me who loves chicken. There is a location conveniently located by the Arizona State University Tempe Campus, and they always seem to have promotions or my colleagues heading out there every now and then. They have party bundles and value bundles along with boneless and traditional wings, tenders, appetizers, sides, dips, and extras, burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, kids meals, drinks, desserts, and sauces. The service at this location is always helpful. I went just for a snack recently where I got some traditional wings. Honey BBQ sauce (sweet, sassy sauce) or Parmesan Garlic sauce (creamy and rich: Parmesan, roasted garlic and Italian herbs) are my usual go to though I instead tried a limited time flavor of Honey Garlic sauce which combined honey and garlic, balanced with soy. This flavor was originally introduced over March Madness though this was the first time I was able to enjoy it. A great place to come for happy hour!! I love chicken tenders and these were pretty good! Loved the $3 large tater tots for happy hour- super crispy and crunchy! We let them know that we didn't mind sitting apart. They sat a party of 5 that came in after us, and a whole bunch of parties of 2. A customer came in for their online order and when he realized 2 of the meals were missing the hostess told him they didn't have those things available. When he asked nicely why he wasn't contacted to see if he wanted a replacement or refund she threw her hands up and said she was stressed and rudely asked him what exactly he wanted her to do about it. My dad asked her how long of a wait (he didn't know we had asked before hand) she threw her hands up in the air again and pointed at a table of people and said she was waiting on them to leave in order to let us sit. We left as soon as we saw the hostess and server arguing and about to fight. We ended up going to Gus's New York Pizza across the street. They actually had good customer service and the food was delicious. I would not recommend this Buffalo Wild Wings location. I understand having a hard day at work. I don't understand taking it out on all your customers and fellow employees. It was so bad I almost turned around and left without picking up my order. Upon entering, there is another atrocious door that you have to put your hands on. Upon entering, it was very dimly lit and no one greeted me. To the right was the cashier and some young male employee reeking of marijuana approach the register, appearing half asleep. I let him know that I was there for an order pick up under my name. He retrieved my order from the back, I opened it up in front of him, while paying, to make sure that there were napkins and plastic cutlery. No surprise, there wasn't so I asked him if I could have them. He not so kindly went to get me some. When he returned, he says that my payment declined, which was not true because on my screen it's said approved. When I began to tell him that he started laughing and said ha ha, just kidding you're right.... I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The food was subpar at most. We have come to this BWWs location on Thursdays somewhat consistently since the NFL football season started. We have also been here prior to that as well. I've been to other B-dubs that were definitely 4 star, however this location near ASU is a solid 3, consistently. The service is hit or miss. The staff seem understaffed and busy. The layout of the place is strange. There is a hallway upon entering the building where people check-in with the hostess to get seated, but also that same hallway is where the to-go pick up area is. So it gets congested to say the least. When we come, we walk past all that mess and head straight back to the bar (open seating) and prey for chairs. So far it's worked out since it's just the 2 of us. If you need more seats be prepared to wait. The happy hour from 3-6 is decent. I would say the food is VASTLY different when you dine in versus get take out. Several times I have ordered take out and I come just a few minutes before my order is ready and go straight home(I live 5 mins away) to eat it. Every single time the dry lemon pepper wings have absolutely no seasoning on them, like they threw the fried unseasoned wings in the box and then put a tablespoon of lemon pepper over it since that seasoning is always at the bottom of the box instead. Also everytime I order both carrots and celery, they either forget it or the veggies are very wet and gross- no in between. And they usually always forget my dressing too. But when I dine in the food is always great- no wet veggies and the lemon pepper wings are very seasoned. So my advice would be not to order take out unless you get wet/sauce wings.. read more

After we moved the server came about 10 minutes later and took our drink order and when we asked for food menus she told us to scan the QR code and that she would only be taking alcohol orders. Not the answer I would expect from a server. We got our food and my friends order was wrong. We got the right sauces but traditional even though he selected boneless. After everything was right we didn't see our server for about 10-15 minutes so we placed beer though the QR code and ... nothing minutes later. Also were dry on soda/water refills since she still hadn't checked in. She then showed up with the beer and we had to ask for refills. We also had to pay via the QR code she said so then I asked if I could give her my phone number for the points. Ended up still paying via the QR code website and left. At this point why even have "servers" when clearly they're just food runners. Not the experience we expect when going to a restaurant and trying to not be on your phone.
