Five Guys Cheeseburger w/ Small Order Cajun Fries
Joe F.

4/11/20 "Dayum, dayum, dayum!" - Daym Drops, in reference to his delicious bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys. Five Guys continues to wow me with their perfect burgers. Evidenced by today's delivery order, a Five Guys burger is just as good no matter where you eat it. Today, we ordered two cheeseburgers with a few fixings: lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions and mushrooms, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. A good, sturdy, backyard burger. We also threw in a small order of cajun fries. Now may be a good time to add that I have been *cutting* calories lately, so how on earth could Five Guys accommodate this? Quite easily, actually, with their handy calorie calculators both on their website and delivery page. So, after working out a little math, we placed our order for 12:00 P.M. Our burgers were delivered via DoorDash. There was no delivery fee (do tip these folks), and we even had the option of contactless delivery. Our delivery person took care to stand a ways back when I opened the door to grab that signature paper bag. After weighing out 100g worth of cajun fries (232 cals), we assembled our plates, got the Netflix going, and dug into these juicy cheeseburgers (~920 cals each). It occurs to me now, writing this review, that I haven't had a Five Guys burger since the Spring of 2018! So, two years later, I can confidently report that the food is still ever godly. 'Til next time, Five Guys. Thanks for a fine lunch at home.

After I took my 1st bite I pulled this out of my mouth

I would rate this with zero stars but if I want to comment unfortunately I have to give a star. This is the 1st time eating and ordering from here and I found hair in my food. I called to the store to let them know and all I got was... well unfortunately because the food left the store we don't know if you put your hair or you co workers hair in your food?!?!... WTF!!!! Worst customer service ever and the hair was cooked into the burger as you can tell. Upon further inspection I found 2 strands of hair COOKED into the patty of the burger!!!....

During the course of my meal I could amuse myself watching the growing grease stains

Grease in a bag with some fries thrown in. Ew! The picture tells the story. Obviously they don't keep the oil at the right temperature since when I'd bite into a fry, it wasn't white with a crispy outer crust, but had the translucence of oil which it oozed. Cruelty to potatoes! Such a shame to take lovely fresh potatoes from a family farm in Idaho that is proudly listed on the board and then subject them to such torture and charge so much. The hand-forms but thin burger was tasty, and it's nice that they let you put all sorts of toppings for free on it, but even they couldn't mask the bland and seemingly stale wrinkly roll. First time at a Five Guys. It may be my last.

Soggy bread and soggy lettuce

Just picked up 2 burgers, drove 5 min home and they were completely soggy a small price of soggy lettuce in both and has no flavor !!!!! Paid 45$ for 2 aweful burgers I don't recommend at all .

My friend and I had an overnight layover in Phoenix while flying across the country. Luckily my friend has family in the area so we asked them to show us around and maybe try some good ol' Southwest grub. They all said we had to try Five Guys Burgers and Fries. So after making the trek over to Tempe we finally arrived. Meh... When we said Southwest grub we didn't have fast food in mind. Plus I've now heard there are Five Guys locations all over the place. Living in Southern California, amazing fast food burger joints isn't a new thing to me. After trying Five Guys I'll gladly stick to Tommy's or In N Out.

The service sucks. Gave my take out order to another customer and refused to fix it. Find a different location if you want 5 Guys.

Best burger hands down! A little rough to get here and you have to pay for parking. Make sure you have some change to feed the meter.

There are about 5-7 parking spots out front. We were happy to find a spot. It is CASH ONLY. So make sure you bring cash! It is one of the oldest places in the area and we have heard amazing reviews! It has a lot of history and super cool pictures and a great vibe. The people are great. William took really good care of us. We got the bacon cheeseburgers, fries and beer battered mushrooms. FIVE STARS!!! Omg. William was friendly and he made sure our entire order was made to order so our fries and beer battered mushrooms were fresh! They charcoal broil your burgers to order in front of you! Everything was delicious! You can definitely taste the charcoal broiled meat!!! The fries were perfectly salty and crispy! We asked for extra crispy fries. And the beer battered mushrooms were crispy on the outside, salty and juicy on the inside. It is also important to note that they premade bacon pieces in the shape of the burger patty so every bite has bacon! It was spectacular. I love my entire meal!

It's a no frills small joint that's been slinging food here for decades. I got the bacon cheese burger, fries and a coke. Simple, yet all I need with a burger. I loved how they do the bacon here too. It's not strips of bacon but instead a circle of bacon. So good and crispy! The condiments are self serve in this middle area and you shout your order when it's your turn and then wait for your burger to come up then grab a tray, your burger, drink and side. I love a nostalgic place, and this is def that! It was packed when we got there but don't fret. Line moves fast and people eat and then get out knowing it's a place you eat and then move on.

I've joined him for lunch a few times, and as someone who tends to stick with what I love, I always go back to their bacon cheeseburger--it's consistently delicious and highly recommended. My husband has been coming here regularly for the past three years, mostly for lunch and occasionally for dinner. It's his go-to spot, and a big reason why is the welcoming atmosphere. Anthony, who seems to be the heart of the place, is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always makes an effort to greet customers and share a story. The rest of the team is just as warm and inviting, which really elevates the whole experience. The food is top-notch across the board. The BLTA and grilled cheese are absolutely amazing, and the burgers are hard to beat. They also offer fun add-ons like bang bang sauce and even Cheetos, which add a unique twist. Great staff, high-quality food, and a genuinely welcoming vibe--definitely a 5-star experience at the Tempe location!

The food is great priced, fresh, and very diverse, where else in the valley can you get poutine, salmon salad, and chicken egg rolls in the same day? Most notably, their Brickhouse wings with Oatmeal Stout BBQ were so good I had to come back for more (no picture, we devoured these almost immediately). The beer-flavored desserts and beer-themed menu items really kept on theme for the brewery. The beers are exceptional, and they keep a rotating tap of local beers and classic favorites. I especially love that they partner with local producers to create their food and beverage menus. This place is a must-visit.

There is plenty of bar space if you're popping in for a drink.. of course, the actual bar that runs along the shelves of liquor, and there is also a bar on the other side of a roll-up door, perfect for people who come with dogs. There's also a bar space that runs along the window that separates the small dining room and the patio. There are a few tables inside as well as some bigger tables on the patio. The patio is nice with lots of shrubs right outside the rail. The murals on the wall are pretty darn cool - - they're like enlarged historic photos of the area. I love them! And I'm not sure who's giant face is hanging on the ceiling but it's short a spark conversation. The menu here has a little something for everyone. There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly. In fact the day we went there was a sweet Pitbull named Daisy who literally hopped up on a bar stool and sat there like a little angel the entire time. The bar had a dog full of water that they sat down on the counter next to her owner's beer. They also have dog biscuits to give. It made my day to see that sweet little dog hanging at the bar having a treat. This really is kind of a spot that feels like it's probably the hangout spot of many people. Great bar food and a good selection of beers. What's not to love?
