I never stopped before because they don't have a parking lot, and finding parking close by could challenging, we parked 2 blocks away. It's a small, cozy place! It wasn't very busy when we arrived, considering it was lunch time, but it got crowded while we were there and I noticed several take out orders. We were promptly greeted upon entering and since it was just the two of us, we were seated at a small table for two. However, after ordering, a side table was needed for all of our entrées! We shared the vegetable mixed platter as an appetizer, which was more than enough for the two of us. All were delicious but my favorite was the samosas with mint chutney! I chose the Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice) with rice and garlic naan bread. Although it took awhile for it to be prepared, my meal was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! I finished my meal with a cup of hot Masala teaAll in all, a pleasant dining experience.

The interior is cozy and nicely decorated and doesn't have an overwhelming amount of tables. They seemed to stay consistently busy inside and a steady flow of carryout orders. Spice levels are always a little tricky with Indian food. I did order a mild vegetable briyani dish for my toddler but it was too spicy for him but he did devour the garlic Naan. I ordered one of the lamb dishes "mild" and my friend one of the sizzling chicken dishes "spicy." We switched dishes as the spice levels seemed to have switched from what we requested. Overall everything was delicious. Mango lassi was great and I also decided to try Masala tea, which i will definitely have to try again.

This place feels warm and welcoming upon entrance. They have ample seating and separate space for parties/larger group. (Ample private parking space btw) We were greeted and seated right away. With a hangry kid with us we requested to get mango lassi right away. But in handle full of minutes remaining order was placed too - Chole Bhature, Aloo Tikki Chat, Butter Naan and Malai Kofta. And then the long wait started. We got our lassi after about 10-12 minutes wait and CB and ATC in about another 25-30 minutes. So far after trying multiple restaurants in multiple cities, 5 star has better Chole taste than others. Bhature was average, we have had better Bhature. Aloo tikki chat tasted better once the hot tikki cooled down a little. Lassi had perfect sweetness but bit watered down than a bit of chunky consistency of lassi. The hostess did check on us in between and apologized about wait due to busy hour. We had easily waited good 30 minutes after finishing our appetizers. But! Finally the food arrived. And it was delicious for sure. Perfectly cooked naan, savory but little sweet kofta entree. The only thing lacking was we had ordered mild spice level but this was definitely a medium. Informed our hostess of this to get a response of well the Indian spices can be spruced down only so much. Agreed but not agreed! Women restroom was clean but out of paper towels, (no air dryer) stayed so till I was there. All in all, great food but too long and gaped of a wait for each item to arrive, okay-ish service. I am willing to give this place one more try and hopefully on a less busier hour before I set my review in stone for this restaurant.

Wow! We just discovered this gem tonight and I already can't wait to go back!…read more Wonderful service, prompt, friendly, and helpful with the questions I had. We started with the Paneer appetizer, which was awesome. Both sauces were wonderful, I couldn't decide which was the best. We then ordered the lamb biryani (huge portion!!!) and the fish curry (also large portion), along with some garlic naan. Every bite was so very good. We ate way too much! For desert we tried two options and they were both fantastic. Bonus points for having Coke products and the mix was one of the best we've had in Indianapolis. The restaurant is large and open, and very clean. Smells wonderful when you walk in. We will definitely be back.

Sounds like a great deal and I love Indian food so I decided to try. This is a place to be when you have a big appetite. I was greeted and seated right away upon entering. The place is much bigger than I assumed by the looks of the entrance. Many tables available. Staff were dressed and acting professionally. For some reason the buffet area had little lighting and was dark, which is not very appetizing. But the food was good. I am a big fan of Tikka masala. Theirs is different than what I'm used to- in a good way! It is sweet, savory, tomatoey, creamy and smooth. It was addicting. I ate more than I should. Channa masala was very salty, so it's a no for me. Chicken curry was good too. But Tikka Masala won. I think this is great value especially considering this is in Downtown indy. I will be a frequent customer here for sure.
