We enjoyed our lunch here this past week. The chicken tikki was spot on, the tandoori was yummy as well. The veggie dish was just sparse, they need to put more veggies in it and a little less sauce. We enjoyed the naan and they give you PLENTY as well as a big dish of rice. We're not big on carbs, but If you are.... You're all set! Service was good, we had ice teas as well. Lunch was about $30 for both meals.

I got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and it was 10 out of 10. Service was good too, even though the restaurant was empty

Pretty authentic and very affordable. Hard to find authentic Indian food that's not being Americanized or changed to be trendy.

This is my go-to Indian take-out joint. Usually go with the American Indian classics -- tikka masala, samosa's, and garlic naan...delish.

Night 2 in Indianapolis took us to The Fountain Room, and honestly, I'd happily go back…read more We had reservations and chose to sit in the bar area, which turned out to be a great call. The restaurant itself is really well designed--traditional meets modern in a way that somehow works. Looking at the tiles and wall coverings individually, you might think, "Oh...interesting choice." But put it all together and it's actually quite harmonious. Design math, apparently. We started with drinks. I had one of their daiquiris, and it was perfect. I'm a whiskey girl, but after some enthusiastic pours the night before, the thought of more whiskey was a hard no. The daiquiri was light, refreshing, and tasty--sweet, but not obnoxiously sweet. And most importantly, it tasted absolutely nothing like whiskey. Mission accomplished. For starters, we ordered the Brie brûlée. I was a fan. The husband was...not. Here's how you do it: take a wedge of their freshly baked toasted bread, slather on some strawberry jam, dip that glorious situation into the pistachio-dusted Brie brûlée, eat, and repeat. And repeat. And repeat. I eventually had to intervene with myself. I ordered the beet and peach salad without the beets because, well...gross. The peaches could have been a little riper, but the salad was still really good. Nicely dressed, with candied pumpkin seeds and some kind of soft herbed cheese that pulled everything together. Very tasty, and thankfully no beets were harmed in the making of my dinner. Then came the meatballs. I have never in my life had meatballs that tasted like these, and I mean that as a very good thing. They were herbaceous, tender, with just a hint of sweetness. And somehow, they kept getting better as we ate them. Especially the ones at the bottom, sitting in all that sauce. DO NOT PASS THESE UP. The husband ordered the prime rib, which he rated an 8 out of 10. High praise, friends. This man does not hand out 8s like participation trophies. Service was great, the food was genuinely enjoyable, and the whole experience was exactly what we wanted on our last night in Indy.

Had several appetizers , I would pass on the crab cakes next time, a little bit too salty for my liking . Oysters were fresh ! Short rib plate was my favorite. The meat literally fell off the bone , tender and juicy, Ambiance was nice , it's more of a quieter restaurant. Decor was cute and booths for comfy! We had amazing service as well.

The service was very helpful deciding what to order. The setting was fun down town indanopolis feel. The lobster roll was definitely the standout. It was packed with fresh, flavorful lobster and had a nice balance of buttery richness without feeling too heavy. You can tell the seafood is high quality, which makes a huge difference. The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. It was hearty, well-seasoned, and filled generously. It didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. To finish, the cheesecake was a great choice it was from the cheesecake factory is what the offered for my birthday smooth, rich, and just the right level of sweetness with a strawberry topping to end the meal without being overwhelming. Overall, Slap's Fish Market delivers on both creativity and quality. It's a great spot if you want fresh seafood with a few fun, unexpected twists. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Great special and offers on the menu. I went with combo #5 .5 pound crab .5 pound shrimp and 1 lobster tail. $41.99. I picked all 3 sauces spicy. The bag came and when I opened it wow it smelled great. Lobster tail was a nice size and very good. Shrimp was great the crab legs were very good. They were about size 3,5-4 on the crab scale that runs 1-5 (5 being the best size) the crabs legs had great meat in them and very big. Normally places give you a size 2-3 so this was a very nice surprise. Potato's and corn were great. Very happy with the food and value. Great deal if I lived here I would come once a week.
