Have been here many times. We are fans of Indian food. I personally have an insatiable appetite for korma. It's pretty good here. My wife enjoyed their saag and we both liked the garlic naan. I was too hungry to think about a review pic until halfway into my dish. I think there were four gentlemen working there at lunchtime, and every one of them was very diligent friendly and helpful.

Best Chicken Kabos on the north side of Indy. Big fan of their carry out service and the way they package everything. Outstanding service and a place I find myself getting frequently. Garlic butter Naan bread is an absolute must!

Standard run of the mill Indian In America within a predominantly white neighborhood kinda restaurant. Decent curry, nothing deeply traditional or unique. Good stop for a quick lunch. Note they close at 2:30, as is common with Indian restauranteering - I was shewed away at 2:10, so don't plan on staying until the 230 closing :\

This is my go to for those Indian food cravings I get!! First off, it comes off as just a simple fast food environment. There isn't very many decorations or Bollywood music playing (in fact, both TVs had ESPN on). However, it's the food that's the star of the show and that's what brings us back time and time again. On this trip we ordered Samosas, Chicken Korma and Butter chicken. Wow, the sauce for both dishes were incredible. We dined in and our food came out in "to go" containers. Not a big deal, if I'm a betting man they're probably going for the "less is more" approach. Again, the flavor is just incredible. If you're passing through Carmel and want some delicious and satisfying Indian food, they got you!!

    Chicken Kabab. Amazing flavor.

We have been coming here for years. It's always so FRESH. The secret ingredient tea is amazing. The owner says they will hopefully be selling it stores soon. . I will be the first in line to buy it. All the food is made to order! Naan is delicious. You can dine in, carry out or they do events. Check it out.

The only thing generic about this place is the name! I decided to try it for dinner based on all the good reviews and boy am I glad I did. The menu is pretty extensive, but I went with the classic Chicken Tikka Masala, which is pretty much my go-to at any Indian restaurant. It took about 10 minutes to prepare, and in that time frame there were probably 5-6 people that came in to pick up to-go orders. Needless to say, this is a popular place! The food was delicious and just the right amount. The garlic naan was huge, but also just as good. If you're craving some ethnic food on the north side of Indy, definitely give this place a shot!

I have denied myself the deliciousness that is Fresh Indian Grill for four months now. It's so conveniently located, that I was afraid I'd go everyday. Yesterday was the day I finally caved only to find that my suspicion was correct. I'll be back. I came in to pick up a carryout lunch. I chose the chicken saag with a medium level spice and made it a combo meal with garlic naan and a drink. The chicken in the saag tasted like fresh grilled, juicy chicken. The saag was wonderfully cooked and seasoned. The rice was perfectly cooked and the portion was a good size. The medium spice seemed just right for me. I like a little spice but not too much. I forgot to ask them to save the cilantro, but I picked off the garnish from the saag easily and what was on the naan didn't seem to bother me. I think the iced tea was a chai tea. It wasn't your typical iced tea and I really enjoyed it. It took about 10 minutes to get my food after ordering.

I'm OBSESSED with here! Seriously, you have to go. I've been here multiple times throughout the years and it's some of the best service and Indian food in Indianapolis. You walk up to order and the menus are easy to ready (and separated by signature and vegetarian options- which i found helpful). I've had the chicken tikka masala and the aloo gobhi. Both have been great! I totally recommend making it a meal and getting the combo. The naan will blow you away! So you get a pretty large portion of whatever you order and four pieces of naan- amazing deal. Amazing taste. I love it. More importantly, the service is awesome. There's always someone asking how your meal is or if there's anything they can get for you. I really appreciate it. Usually places where you order at a register and sit down don't have the best service, but fresh India goes above and beyond!

    Incredible butter chicken. Get it!

I didn't see butter chicken (my favorite) on the menu, but when I asked, the man behind the counter told me they made it. I was thrilled and got it as a combo meal (rice, naan and a drink) for $17. That's pricey, but it's a good portion of food and could probably be shared between two people. On this particular day I was super hungry and ate the whole thing by myself. The butter chicken was amazing! The sauce was smooth and rich in flavor. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The Naan was pillowy and a little chewy. The rice was impeccably seasoned and tasted great on it's own. Combining it was a little flavor dance party in my mouth. I couldn't get enough. Absolutely wonderful food with quick and friendly service!

This was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant! It was soooo good. I got chicken curry mild and my bf got chicken tikki masala medium. I really loved what I got, but my bfs food was actually my fav lol. I'm definitely going to get the chicken tikki masala with medium spice next time. We came in an hour before they closed and they were so nice and food was fresh! Me and my bf always need a place that has later hours so we really appreciated how nice they were about us eating there and how good the food is. Price was very reasonable too!

Yeah, this'll do in a pinch! I'll edit my review because Fresh Indian Grill seems to have stepped up their game a bit. I was craving some chicken tikka masala during a time when the local sit-down Indian restaurant wasn't open. But lo and behold, after some searching on Yelp, I found this fast-casual joint. Fresh Indian Grill came to my rescue by being open and having some bomb chicken tikka. It satisfied my craving and I was able to go on with my day. The meals come with a side of basmati rice. I didn't know that and ordered an additional side of rice, so I ended up with too much rice. Don't make my mistake! Just order the meal and you'll get rice. Unless you want a lot of rice -- in that case, you do you. I also got an order of naan, which was delicious and soft and pillowy. I never actually stepped into this restaurant because I got my order through Door Dash. So if you're looking for delivery Indian food, try this place -- they use Door Dash to deliver.

This was my first time visiting Fresh Indian Grill, and it for sure will not be my last! I opted for a carryout order and it was seamless and very quick - about 15 minutes from order to pickup! Also, the menu is priced very fairly. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosa. The Masala was very good and I would highly recommend it, it was fresh, came in a great to-go container and was very hot. The samosa was also really good, I had never had this kind of appetizer but I will definitely be getting it again! Also, the dipping sauce for the samosa was awesome! I would highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back and try other menu options!

I have been coming here for years! They have the absolute best chicken tikka masala paired with the garlic naan. I can't get it without their sweet tea which tastes like sweet tea with cinnamon. . . Sounds weird but it's GOOD! I recently tried to step out of my usual and got a couple new (to me) dishes to try. I honestly didn't love them but it's just due to my personal preference. It wasn't dry & didn't lack taste . . I just don't prefer them over my usual. I will say the lamb in the biryani was very tender & didn't have much bone to pick out which is a plus. Sometimes they post coupons on their FB page so that's worth a look before you go!

Paneer massala was tasty. The Roti and Naan was extra

The interior is bright and fun. They're in the strip mall at 86th with the Noral Target, so there was plenty of parking. We each ordered separately, but they nicely put our order on the same overall table ticket so that it was delivered at roughly the same time. I hadn't been here before, and was excited to try it. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL

Oh man, we must've done something right because the food gods have blessed us all with Vegetarian…read moreVillage. Indy, do you hear me? Please listen...You have been blessed by the food gods! You won't find this concept in many cities so I hope we can recognize it as the gem that it is and take advantage of it to keep them around. So what is it you ask. First, it's not a restaurant. Rather, imagine if mom (dad, sister, aunt or whoever can cook in your family...mom just connotes warmth and wholesome for me) were to cook healthy, wholesome meals and bring them to your house whenever you wanted. This is what it is; it's a catering service but I think they're aiming to cater to us, to singles, to families and to our everyday lives. Awesome, right? Many of us don't have time to cook or we just don't want to so we eat out. There's a downside to this: we often have to sacrifice healthy food for convenient and/or tasty food. It's a First World problem, I know (one with shockingly negative consequences but that is a lecture for another setting). The brilliance of Vegetarian Village and places like this is they offer a perfect solution to this modern day problem in that we can have all three: healthy, tasty and convenient. The Holy Trinity of modern eating. No sacrificing. Again, this is why I'm thrilled to have them here... The food: I wanted to order the holiday meal but since there are no Yelp reviews yet and I knew nothing about their food, I was apprehensive to do so since I would be ordering for 8. I called and the owner was kind enough to fix me a plate to try at their Central Ave. location. An entire meal: pastry stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet mashed potatoes, cauliflower, and string beans with pearl onions and almonds. How cool is that? Good business practices is all I can say to that. I had no idea what to expect but yum. The meatless turkey was delicious as were all of the sides. The turkey is a recipe she has created on her own. Like I said, this is wholesome cooking...comfort food prepared with heart (metaphorically...this is a vegetarian business after all.) Classics made meatless by professionals. This food is truly an extension of the chefs and they are very passionate about what they're cooking for us. I was fortunate enough to talk with the owner for a bit, and the dishes they are making sound amazing. Meatloaf, lasagna, sloppy joes, chicken noodles, veggie jambalaya (all meatless of course). My favorite bit: they offer 5 entrees for $45. This is crazy affordable and so perfect for singles or couples. Families of course too. I cannot wait to try everything they offer on their menu and I will keep you posted. Some things to keep in mind: This is a new company so my understanding is that the chefs still work other jobs. For this reason, we need to place our orders a week ahead of time. It's not like ordering a pizza so a little planning is required. Also, pick up is available. I think they offer this in both Carmel and midtown on Central. Great locations. Check out their website because I believe they are going to have a sampling/tasting of their food soon. Thank you Vegetarian Village for bringing this concept to Indy and making our lives a little easier...and healthier!

Mix veg tasted like home cooked sabzi. So neither good neither wow. Saag was perfection to me. (Leftover saag tasted even better haha) Butter naan - loved how it was soft yet crispy and that it didn't get chewy when it got cold. Loved the raita, jeera rice was well cooked, quantity of salad and achar was delicious. Dessert- got Gulab Jamun which was freezing cold and hard as rock. Tasted a tiny bit and that was that. The veggie burger came with a squishy bean patty, with peas in it -- not my fave texture or flavor but tolerable -- and a tahini sauce... but they barely put any sauce on it. A gourmet, no-high-fructose-corn-syrup ketchup or tomato jam might have been better, or at least more of the tahini. It did come with a nice pile o' crunchy pickles (love) and a lovely green salad with balsamic dressing (way too many carrots). Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

Still the best taco I've had!…read more This time I dined in instead of doing takeout. It is teeny tiny inside, just a few tables. But the decor was so pretty and vibrant. I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

The important thing to know is that they stop dine in by 8 pm but allow carry out till 9 pm. We saw them turn away a lot of people that wanted to dine in post 8 pm. Our waitress was quick to respond to every table that was seated - we ordered our apps and dinner and food came out quite speedy. We had the bulgogi rice bowl - meat to rice ratio could have been better - as in the meat was a bit less compared to the rice. The So Ddeok so Ddeok was a hit with the sauce as well as the combo of rice cake and hot dog. The fried dumpling was however okay. We came for the fried chicken and that was definitely something we all enjoyed. We ordered the half and half boneless with the original and secret sauce - the original is just okay but has great crunch as expected. The secret sauce was better, however not enough spice so we will try a spicier sauce next time. The pickled radish was so very delicious. I couldnt stop eating them. Definitely worth few more visits to try out the various sauces and other Korean specials

I didn't realize when I came here that it was a sitdown restaurant, but it also has takeout. I couldn't decide between the Bulgogi rice bowl or the Gangnam Style chicken wings so I ordered both. So glad I did! While I couldn't eat it all. I'm looking forward to the leftovers. The food was fresh and tasty, hot and served quickly. Service was super friendly and polite. The kind of service that makes you want to come back. The place is new and clean. There is a bar if you are so inclined.
