just a cardamon flavoring my food #yum #ReviewsByRL

Was actually heading to a late lunch elsewhere when we noticed the "Indian food" sign and decided to stop in. This is in the location that was previously donuts and dragons. The inside is bright and spacious. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. It was fairly busy when we were there, at least a couple dozen people, couples and families, lots of kids, too. (This was about 2:40 pm on a Saturday.) All the food I could see on the tables looked so good. So the one downside that prevents me from giving 5 stars is that the menu is the names of dishes, but no descriptions or photos. So while I've had Indian food before, I had to ask a ton of questions since I didnt know what the food was. I'm sure I still don't understand all the offerings they have. So we kind of ordered what was sounded familiar: hubs got the chicken tikka masala and I got the palak (spinach) chicken curry, and a garlic naan. Food took a little while and hubs' came first, mine was about 5 min later, which was a little awkward. Food is served in plastic containers (think Chinese soup), and you get plates from the side. So that also was a little meh, but then again, it was a lot of food, so I already had my to go containers! Flavor-wise, both were served hot, smelled great, had huge chunks of chicken in them, amd were delicious. We both ordered medium spice. My spinach was less spicy, so i might kick it up a bit next time. Again, the flavors in each were so good. In mine I had some little spice pods that had such aroma and flavor, almost a sweetness. I asked ... it was cardamon. So I learned that as wel, since I did not know how to identify that spice. I would definitely eat here again. #yum #ReviewsByRL

My new favorite place for Indian street food. Gobi 65 was perfect with the crisp and the flavor. One of the best I've had. Mysore masala dosa was spicy, as expected. Good texture and lots of potato filling inside. Vada pav was spicy and flavor was spot on. Didn't feel too heavy. Sambar idli was good too. I like that they pack the idli separate from the sambar for takeout. The sambar was not too watery and had a good amount of lentils and veggies in it. Employees friendly and food came out quick. The dining area is big with a lot of tables and chairs for groups of all sizes.

We went back to Chowrastha the 2nd time after 2 months to celebrate a birthday dinner. Having Indian roots, my friends and family appreciate a good Indian dinner with a nice family vibe. Chowrastha ticks all the boxes l! We tried Samosa - fried veggie pastry Indian spice chicken appetizers Bhelpuri - savory snack with puffed rice Chicken Mandi - Arabic flavored rice All the dishes were very spicy (please SPECIFY for less spice - they do accommodate) Our bill came up to $95. Note : I kicked off a star for Facebook showing an offer of buy 1 Mandi and get 1 Mandi free on Tuesday but the store said it was a mistake and did not honor our request. I get mistakes happen but when a large group shows up, you don't just keep repeating it was a mistake.

Yummy Indian street food with a fun vibe! I love the murals and the music that make the atmosphere really festive. The service was quick and the food was great. We started with the pani puri which tasted amazing, but I wish there was more puri pieces because there was a lot of stuffing left over. The Bombay sandwich was also really good and the butter paneer with garlic naan was perfectly flavorful and spicy!

Came here for the first time and was really impressed! The restaurant itself was very spacious and plenty of room for our large party. The menu was huge with an almost overwhelming variety of Indian dishes. Some of the dishes are available in the buffet and some of the foods were needed to order. With such a variety of foods, the staff there was extremely helpful to narrow down what we should eat. I'd recommend the chicken tandoori!

The staff is nice and accommodating ensuring that every guest is taken care of. For my meal, I decided to try a mix of dishes all with medium spice and wasn't disappointed. I started with Butter Chicken, which was tender bites of chicken served in a rich, creamy tomato gravy that was perfectly spiced. The basmati rice served alongside was fragrant and fluffy, the perfect complement to the dish. Next, I had the Street Style Fried Rice add Chicken. It was a delightful mix of tender chicken, shrimp, vegetables and an infusion of Indian spices that gave it a unique, flavorful taste. The Tandoori Shrimp was another highlight with medium sized shrimp marinated in an aromatic blend of spices and grilled to perfection, served with a refreshing mint chutney. To top it all off was the Garlic Naan that was buttery soft and packed with garlic. Perfect for soaking up the sauce from the butter chicken and tandoori shrimp. Everything was flavorful and authentic, with generous portions that are more than worth the price!

Ended up getting the Phool Makhana Bhel (roasted lotus seeds) as a crunchy, mildly spicy appetizer, which was delicious, and a generous portion. (Deeply flavorful spices, wonderful crunch.) Went with the dal (yellow lentil soup) and ghee-free crispy methi roti (fenugreek leaf spiced flatbread) for my main -- both were deeply satisfying and powerfully flavorful, as well as very filling. My friend's goat biryani was apparently terrific (according to her); we ate a pile of food, but still ended up taking containers home. For the record: medium spice was juuuuuuuust right -- didn't make the eyes water, but had a mild bit of a bite. Super interesting menu, even for vegans! Will have to try dinner here in future.

I opted to enjoy mine the traditional way but it sounds like a fun option for vodka enjoyers! Butter chicken: 6/10 -- a little low for ME personally. Not trying to hate! I have had a fair share of delicious butter chicken and this was not as good as some of the others I have tried. It was just too sweet for my liking, although we did order a medium spice level. I think that anyone who did not grow up eating indian food would enjoy this very much so don't let my scale influence you on this specific dish. Cumin rice comes with the butter chicken! Garlic naan: 10/10 -- perfectly garlicky! flaky, buttery, and delicious!! Plenty of parking is available in the lot out front. When I went, the lounge/bar side of the space was still under construction but it should be open now! I need to revisit to check out some of the snack/drink options. Service was non existent so don't expect much there but it was not bad since we were just a table of 2.

When we arrived no one was there to greet us; we found the owner by popping our head in the kitchen. He was super nice and explained he was short staffed today but led us to a table and got waters for us. We were 2 adults, one teen, and one kid who eats very little. We ordered 4 breads... garlic naan, house special paratha, aloo paratha, and keema paratha. These were all so fresh and flavorful, and great portion sizes especially on the stuffed ones for the price! You could make a meal of these alone. We ordered tikka masala, rice, and the owner suggested coconut curry which wasn't listed on our menus but was excellent. The tikka masala was rich and buttery and perfect. We loved all the food and had leftovers of everything. We will definitely be back!
