Service was good however many of the buffet items were cold. While they offer a vast menu, I have experienced better Indian Cuisine.
My friends and I picked up dinner. They both goat biryani, mango lassi and I got a curry and replaced the dosa with naan. The staff is friendly but they did forget to add the curry to my order. The wait time for pick up was about 20 minutes. The ambiance is alright and they give bottled water. My goat curry was so delicious but I wish the naan was bigger. The mild biryani was still very spicy but they gave a generous serving of goat and too much onions. The biryani and mango lassi were both tasty.

The portion sizes are huge! This South Indian restaurant in a strip mall in Castleton Mall area will not leave you hungry. Serving the dishes family style is easy as they provide you with big empty white plates. The menu is large and customizable on spice level, so everyone can find something they enjoy. There are several vegetarian options, desserts, and appetizers. Masala Chai is available. All of the servers put in a lot of effort to make sure we were satisfied: checking on spice levels after we got our meal, splitting up the bill at the end carefully, anticipating to-go box needs, etc. Free parking is available in a large surface lot.
The food was really good. The price was high in my opinion but it was good. The garlic naan was excellent. The service is non-existent. You have bottles of water on the table as you enter and the man serving us seemed surprised when I asked for a cup. I don't like drinking out of a plastic water bottle. Especially in a restaurant. They seemed surprised and not thrilled that we were eating in the restaurant and not picking up carry out (we will only do carry out in the future) - I said this was a $40 meal and then the bill arrived. Tipping was hard.

You are offered bottled water and order at the front. I'd seen the prices on Yelp, which I now realize must have been outdated, and didn't pay much attention past that. But when we went to checkout and realized my husband and I had just eaten a $70 meal....I was a bit shocked. We both had a regular combo with chicken, some extra naan, and one can of soda. I'm just not sure if I'd return. There are many other options with nice table service and upscale ambience for this price.
An authentic Indian spot -- unassuming from the outside, but the food speaks for itself. We dined in and loved it, but it's also a great spot for takeout. Quick, friendly service and delicious dishes that hit the spot.
They are located right off of I 465 and the first turn at the first light. The restaurant is located in this huge strip mall space. There is a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant. They are spacious inside the restaurant and you need to wait to be seated. Food was delicious and warm. Their inside decor and ambiance are good too. They have a lot of food options and a great amount of vegetarian options. They do have some vegan options as well. Their customer service is good. We felt the Vegetable Pakora was a little on the saltier end. The Garlic Naan was delish!!! Thei pastries taste yummy!! They even take birthday cake orders. They do dine and carry out. I don't think they have any outside seating to my knowledge. If you like to try the authentic taste of India, this is a must try! They are family friendly and business casual. They have a buffet setup but I have never tried their buffet before.
Hyderabad House is a takeout staple in my house, but today we decided to dine in for lunch. While the food travels well, there's nothing better than their veggie samosas fresh out of the fryer--so good that I forgot to grab a photo of them! Portions are huge and filling. My boyfriend and I split a regular size boneless chicken biryani plus garlic naan and still come away with enough for at least another meal each every time. One of these days I'd love to see what the family size Biryani looks like! Atmosphere is clean and modern but doesn't have a ton of character to it. Service is attentive and our food came out hot and fresh much faster than I expected.

Pros: Flavorful and delicious food. Items we tried - chicken hakka noodles, chicken lollipop, gongura chicken, chicken monagadu, different types of chicken and goat biryani. All these items hit the spot. Multiple TVs to watch games! Friendly staff Lots of seating available. Pretty huge place. Cons: Extremely extremely slow service. Haven't experienced such slow service ever. Also, I wouldn't recommend trying their Chilli chicken.
I had a hankering for Hyderabad House. No I didn't. I'd actually never been there before and it just sounded good. Plain and simple, I was hungry for Indian food. And because I've been wanting to #GetLost at Hyderabad House, it was clear how part of today would be spent. Very unfortunately, the main reason for wanting to try this particular restaurant (the beautiful buffet I've only seen in pictures) is still not offered since COVID shut it down. Note: I have NEVER not "buffeted" an Indian restaurant. Because I don't know what to order. Fortunately, I now know enough to order what I like, so I created my own buffet; one that will feed me into next week! And it was delicious! But I still prefer to sample many dishes as opposed to feasting on one or two. I WILL return to Hyderabad House. #Getlostindiana #Getlostindiana9000

I ordered masala fish fry today night and this is the photo above, absolute shit. Where is the masala, no salt and was completely bland and this was $18. Complete waste of my money. If you guys can't make proper basic dishes like this, don't include them in your menu. Very disappointed. read more

Vegetarians!!! So many options! Like, half the menu is vegetarian! I went with one of the vegetarian paneer dishes, some garlic naans, and veggie samosas. Everything was delicious! I would eat everything I ordered again. The chutney with the samosas was a bit spicy in the best way. My two suggestions for the business: - no bottled water. I assume this isn't a full-time thing, but we used bottled water instead of normal water. - the menu is not at all descriptive, so be ready to google some items, but I like the experience Great time, okay prices, tasty food! read more

Let's be clear up front: there is no lunch buffet! The item needs to be removed from Yelp and Hyderabad House should remove it from the front door. That being said, the menu is uniquely diverse. If one is not familiar with various Indian foods, the menu may require extensive explanation. Portions are extreme and one can plan on delicious leftovers. Personally, the peanut chutney didn't set well on my tongue, but others may enjoy it. read more

Castleton location is the best when visiting HH. Their Biryanis are must try (mutton or dum), husband looooooves it. For veg, give Corn Manchurian and Malai Kofta a try. I give them a 10 out of 5. They are that good every time I ordered it. (Sadly no pics of those) For dosa, their ghee roast dosa is yummm-mazing! It serves 2. (I ordered it just for me and had two meals out of it lol) read more

I always love the food here, great tastes And flavor but the service is not up to par. Please get a hostess to greet your customers and take them to their tables, so many people come in and don't get acknowledged quickly. The waiters need to be more attentive and actually give you service, check on you-give you menus, ask how your meal is etc. It's like there are random dudes hanging out and chatting and then running to a customer when they are flagged down. The owner needs to seriously upgrade the service level. It was not busy the night I went and everyone was waiting on ordering and getting their good, paying their checks. read more

My friend and I were looking to treat our selves to some Indiana take out after a long day of work. There have been a few new Indian places in the Castleton area so based upon reviews we decided to try this place out. The location is great at the end of a strip mall behind Castleton Square Mall. The inside is spacious with an open construction ceiling, light floors and walls, accented with bright green and walnut wood tones. When we arrived there were several people waiting at the front and no employees around. After about six minutes someone came up front and started helping. We waited around 15 minutes before they employee got off the phone and was ready to take our order for take out. We placed our order and were told it would be about 20 minutes before it would be ready. We went for a walk and came back on time. We stood waiting for another ten minutes and were offered a bottled water, and were offered to have a seat in a booth to wait, which happened to be dirty so we declined. While we were waiting we looked around the space and saw many, many, tables covered in dirty dishes. There was a busing cart left standing in the middle of the dining room, as well as a large trash can on wheels on the other side of the room. We finally got our food and were on our way home. After we arrived home we realized that one item we ordered wasn't with our order so we called and they refunded the cost of the item. Anytime we have Indian we always get saag paneer and chicken tikka masala. We tried our items and they were good, but not great. The flavors weren't as well developed or balanced as other restaurants that we have tried. The location is great, and its nice to have a new Indian restaurant with a buffet in a modern space in the Castleton area. I am hoping it was just an off night for this location and with some cleaning, adequate staffing, it can be even better! read more

This place is slowly becoming my favorite biryani spot in Indianapolis area. We went there on a busy Tuesday and it was busy. Despite the fact, we were seated without having to wait for a long time. We got Masala Dosa and Vijayawada Biryani. The dosa was exactly what I wanted - crispy on the outside with flavorful potatoes on the inside. So good! I recommend trying it if you're here trying anything other than their famous biryanis. We also got the Gongura chicken and Vijayavada chicken biryani. The chicken was so soft and tender and perfectly cooked and the gongura gravy was just perfect. We had asked for it to be spicy and they nailed it! Highly recommend this item as well. The Vijayavada biryani was also extremely flavorful and had the perfect blend of spices. Ah so good! I went there based on the recommendation from my friend. After my initial visit, I've no already been there two times and tried different biryanis. They're all very good. Highly recommend this place. read more

Hyderabad house is one of the very authentic Indian food restaurant in Caselton,IN. They have a specious indoor seating and a nice comfortable seating options. Lots of vegetarian and non vegetarian options to choose from and spice level is really nice. In appetizers I recommend trying March bhajji/ mix vegetarian pagoda and chicken 65 or chicken lolipopand in entrees One of the very few restaurants which offeres such a big variety of biryani. I reco.mand Gongura Curry based chicken/ goat, mughalai curry chicken/ lamb is also amazing. In vegetarian you can never go wrong with paneer Tikka masala and dal tadkka. A must try Indian place in Indianapolis. read more

Hyderabad house has an impressively extensive menu and most of their dishes come in hot, mild or no spice. Beware the spice most likely will upset your stomach! From what I gather they especially in south central Indian food with a focus on biryani, which is what I would recommend. I had the Gobi Manchurian, a deep fried cauliflower dish tossed in a hot spicy sauce. The batter was crunchy and the sauce savory. It approximated meat pretty closely! With the only giveaway being the notable but not unwelcomed cauliflower after taste. Additionally, I tried the goat biryani, which was seasoned aggressively and actually had a good portion of meat to rice ratio. I do wish they had used a slightly fattier cut of meat as some of the goat was slightly overcooked and dry. Expect to spend about $15-$20 per person! read more

Amazing halal food! I tried the manchurian chicken fried rice and the tikka paneer dosa, both which were amazing. Well priced and big portions too! The service was great and efficient and the decor was simple and clean. Definitely recommend this place and I'll be going back for sure! read more

Do they serve a daily lunch buffet?
They had a lunch buffet prior to COVID but when I ate there a few weeks ago, the buffet was gone and they were doing order from menu. I believe it is down till COVID slows.
