We ordered the chicken kebab platter, and it was amazing. The platter included malai chicken, seekh kebab, chicken tandoori, and boti kebab. The malai chicken was incredibly flavorful, and the boti kebab literally melted in the mouth. The seekh kebab and chicken tandoori were delicious as well. If you're craving good Indian food, Biryani Hut is definitely the place to go. read more

Our first time trying Biryani. The food was delicious, I order the lamb curry and it had a little bit of heat not too much. The staff was welcoming and polite. Quiet setting and dim lighting. Give them a try! read more

Food was extremely spicy and greasy. Service was horrible. Waited 20 for food just to be put in containers. The restaurant is run down, and has zero ambience. Literally just seating thrown in a warehouse. And you can forget delivery. They cancel orders often. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

Excellent meal. I ordered the korma vegetarian. It was great. I also ordered the Indian bread and it was warm and fresh. I'll definitely come back. read more

We have catered two events through Biryani Hut and their customer service and food has been fantastic every time! Their chef visited our location a few days before the event to ensure adequate amenities and all of our guests loved the food. What was really impressive is that when we went to return their food containers, they were so friendly and gave us chai/biryani even though we were just returning supplies. Overall great customer service and food quality for catering! read more

Good food, good service, reasonably priced. Would recommend! Their naan is fantastic, give the cheese naan a try.

Delicious food it taste like home made food, owner's conduct is good . I will order food again.

I'm not one to usually write reviews but I just had to for this one! I just moved to town and have been dying to try this place because it's so highly reviewed online. I am so DISAPPOINTED in the food that I got. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan and my order came with literally seven pieces of chicken (in the picture I put all the chicken my order came with on the right) AND I paid $27 for it and left a tip. I also stood at the cash register and waited for a solid 2 minutes before someone came to help me. There was a guy who looked at me more than once. He was standing in the kitchen - door open - about 5 feet in front of me and couldn't be bothered to help me or at least grab someone who could. Never coming back here again and would love a refund for my food! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is also the same establishment as "dosa point Indiana". I'm not sure why there are two names. I've never left a review before but I felt the need to warn others about my family's experience. When we entered the restaurant it was empty but every single table was left dirty and covered in dishes while a man sat on a laptop at a table in the front. We didn't think anything of it at that point and figured maybe they just had a dinner rush and got behind. 20 or so minutes pass, we were still the only people in there, and still none of the tables were picked up. Our appetizer was brought out along with plates and silverware. My son picked up his fork and noted that it felt sticky, so I picked mine up and noticed the sticky/grimey feeling immediately. After taking a closer look it became VERY clear that it was. not. washed. and was just wiped off from previous use. Given the appearance of the dining room and the dirty silverware I can't even imagine what the kitchen looked like. We left immediately. Like I said, I've never left a review before but felt the need to warn others. read more

Great service and great prices on South Indian dishes. Will visit again for carry out

I came to Biryani Hut for Devour Indy and wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised! It's a small, casual, restaurant with some booth and table seating. They were playing Bollywood music on the TV screens (very good Bollywood music!) as well. The food was so good! Our favorites were the chicken appetizers, especially the pepper fry chicken!! This chicken was so juicy, soft, and flavorful. If we were to go again, we would probably just order loads of the pepper fry chicken. The biryani was good too, but honestly it wasn't the star of the meal. We had rasmalai for dessert and it was pretty good as well. The service was fast and the servers were very nice and attentive, always asking if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our meal. Moreover, this place is Halal so it's great for anyone looking for Halal/Kosher options. I really did enjoy the food here and will be coming back! read more

We like Egg biryani and chicken butter the most . Everyone is friendly and foods are awesome. Try it out guys!! read more

The medium level spice is perfect here. The flavors really pop and I would definitely order from them again. 5 stars - Bhindi Masala. Wow. This was awesome. The okra was sliced and in a masala curry sauce. Typically this dish is a dry stir fry, but the curry sauce was a nice change. 4 stars - Chili garlic gobi. Sweet and spicy. More on the sweet side, but still good. I got this because it reminded me of Gobi Manchurian and it was cooked in a similar fashion. Fried cauliflower tossed in an indo-chinese saucy coating. 4 stars - Veg Mix Curry. Green beans, corn, and cauliflower. I would have liked some potato in this to round it out. Curry flavor wasn't as dominant and more of a mild flavor curry. 4 stars - Naan was more flat than fluffy. That's okay though cause the rice was awesome. Fluffy, fresh, and the grains were almost a shorter grain and was a good compliment to the curries. read more

I like this place! I went with the chicken tikka masala ($11) and some garlic naan ($4). Huge portion of chicken tikka masala - it was basically 1.5 portions so you get good value for what you're paying. A nitpick is I wish the sauce was thicker, but it was good. The garlic naan was the best I've ever had. The service was great. The inside decor is dated. They were processing a ton of take-out orders and hardly anyone was eating at the restaurant so maybe that's a reason why. read more

I would give "MINUS" 10 Stars if I could. I have ordered 10 Naan(Indian bread). This is not the first time I order but numerous times. They always burn some of them so I decided to call first to let them know not to burn them. I came home and saw nothing but completely burnt naans. And they weren't burn just some but all brown. I called them to let them know but they decided to hang up the phone when I made the complaint. They hang up the phone 3 times on me. I'm all about supporting local businesses but I would advise everyone NOT TO Go this place. Bad food and the worst customer service service! read more

We had heard such great things about this place, but it was a huge disappointment. The selection was remarkably meager. Our server mixed up the spicy and mild entrees, so we each didn't get what we requested. We weren't overly impressed with our meals, regardless of the spice levels. It was almost unbearably hot in the dining room--I wondered if their AC was broken. Finally, the one girl working the front kept playing Taylor Swift songs over the dining room sound system the entire time. (I'm sure some people share her love of Taylor Swift, but we got pretty sick of it.) I mentioned it on social media later, and a friend told me that they used to be really good, but they're now under new management. The new owners haven't kept up the old standards, if our visit was any indication. read more

On Friday, 08/092024, we invited our friends to a get together dinner, when we arrived Sunny and his team did an excellent job setting up the seating exactly what we wanted. We requested that dinner should be set up as a buffet, and my God they went over board with food selections , from Samosa's to Chicken tikka, Nihari, Paye and 14 more dishes including mango lassi and Chai. All of us enjoyed the fresh delicious food , specially the Saag, Bihari chicken , Chicken biryani and our guest were bragging about how tasty and fresh everything was that served. If all the food was a CAKE, sunny and his team service was the ICING on the cake, excellent job, Thank you Sunny Paji. This Review is for Sat March 27, 2021 I want to mention this was the very first time my lady and I ordered from this place, and this may be the last time as well. Sometime that day I was searching for different places to get dinner from to celebrate our 12 yr anniversary early since my lady had to work during the week. We decided to give this place a try. I want to mention when looking at their menu, be careful on what you are ordering as their menu is a little deceiving. When we placed an order we seen you could get both half and a full tandoor chicken, to be honest its only a half or full order of what was like chicken legs, not the full chicken at all. So their menu needed to be reworded. Also we were asked how we wanted the meal cooked, m lady strictly said very mild, but I guess very mild and mild still in their eyes equals hot. This is either the case or they do not care what their customers want and will cook how they wish, just an opinion. So this is what we orders: 1 x Biryani Goat Fry, Family Pack, Mild, very mild please 1 x Tandoor Chicken full order (was suppose to be full chicken according to menu, but this was false advertised), Medium Tamarin and Mint chutney 2 x Garlic Naan So to give an idea how this order was I will start from the top to bottom of the list: So from what I could taste with the goat it had flavor, but way too much heat, also to add the goat has many sharp bones, so be very careful when biting in it. Because I feel they only cook the goat one way they mixed it with the biryani rice and well besides creating some good flavor it created too much heat as well, for started we asked for something very mild because my lady can not handle spicy dishes and I honestly should not being doing anything too spicy as this meal was. The Tandoor Chicken even though not a full chicken, still was good and had flavor. The Garlic Naan as well had great flavor. Now originally I wanted us to order an appetizer, but the person who took our order informed us them meal came with an appetizer, so we did not order samosas as we originally planned too. We were told we would get an order of Goat Fry, which sadly did not come with our order. My Lady did happen to phone in and informed the person who took the order that this was our first time, also that an appetizer was not included. We were informed we could come in the next day after her shift to pick an item on menu out for free as a compensation. I will be honest it was a nice gesture, but after talking things over we decided to just not go back again, if a customer is asked if they want very mild, or mild and they are given very spicy anyways, what is the point of even trying them again. I am unsure if other customers have ever had this issue or not, but just be warned if you can not have spicy food and ask for mild, I guess it will be a 50/50 situation, maybe we came at a bad time. I was told the gent who gave my lady her order was too busy on the phone when we picked u our order, so right there, business is more important than making sure one your customers orders is correct, they did not bother to do a quality check of the order. read more

Pros: Good food, served hot! Large portions Friendly staff No wait time, reasonably fast service even though a party of 10 ordered before us Buffet, sit down, take-out options available Cons: Veggie Samosas were off the hook, but you only get 2 (and also they were pretty spicy ) Garlic naan was loaded up with garlic (maybe that's how others like it) Tikka Masala had a very strong clove flavor Atmosphere could use an update read more

This place has definitely improved since I was here in 2019. The seasoning was just too salty for me. I prefer my Jalfrezi a little chunkier (more vegetables) the chilly chicken had the right flavor profile (however the seasoning was a bit off) I think it would be fantastic if they weren't so heavy handed with the salt. read more

Great experience overall! Food: We loved garlic nan bread but not too much of onion one. There's nothing wrong with the taste. Maybe it's just my preference on onion texture. Fried rice with medium hot shrimp was tasty. However even though we ordered mild on all other dishes, it had some kicks. It's not really good for kids if they can't eat spicy food. Parking: Restaurant is located in a strip mall so plenty of parking space and convenient. Service: There's nothing bad about service because you will get whatever you order in decent time. However they are not too friendly but it's ok with me as long as I get my food in time. I haven't tried a buffet yet but I'm looking forward to it. I was told that weekend buffet is little bit upgraded than the weekday buffet. read more

3 out of my last 4 orders was missing food. Rubbery chicken, goat vindaloo is mainly goat bones with little meat, and shockingly bland tasteless Indian food. Mild and Medium heat is the same. The service isn't rude but it's not nice either. I am just going to drive 25 minutes to Broadripple for better Indian. read more

I got delivery from here today and was so happy with the food we got! I ordered two chicken tikka masalas and an aloo gobi - they were both delicious! This used to be my go to place for Indian food the last 5 years. It was amazing and like no other around here. However I don't know if it's new owners but it is definitely not the same. Food is okay at best. Very dry curry. And prices have gone up $2-$3 per item. read more

Ordered takeout from Biryani Hut through door dash to try and had a pretty good experience. The food arrived still very very hot. I had the chili chicken and it was hot hot hot, just how I like it. My boyfriend had the butter chicken and though it was good, not over the top awesome but still hits the craving. They sadly were out of basmati rice and gave us white rice, it didn't match quite as well. But j think we will give it another shot, my entree especially was delicious! read more

Customer Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Food: 6/5 I've come to this restaurant three times now for both lunch buffet and dinner dinning. And the experience from here is always a 5 star. They are very patient with bunch of questions i give about the menu. Every single time i come here, i get to try new foods other than just Chicken Tikka Masala thanks to the variety of food options, kind waitress, and the good chef. The foods are really good and they are all authentic. They aren't Americanized, and that surely is our goal to experience. Honest chef. Also, I really enjoy watching Bollywood music videos. It makes us feel like we are really in an Indian restaurant. If you are not as familiar as i am with their food, i highly recommend that you ask them help you finding the best options from the menu. read more

DO NOT SUPPORT IF YOU ARE LGBT! I came here with a friend because my friend just moved to the area and is from India! We walked inside and we were instantly frowned at! We were asking what all was on the menu and we're trying to get details about certain items on the menu! The guy at the counter was just on his phone and wasn't really listening and we had to keep repeating ourselves! He seemed very annoyed and frustrated even though we came before they were even closed! Yeah the guy at the counter kept saying "it's not available!" And kept making up more faces on his face! I explain to him that we were just looking for something that wasn't spicy and that we also had certain allergens! And then he made a comment I'm saying well sorry about your maybe you should find somewhere else to go we don't really "except your kind here!" My friend and I were a palled and ask why he mean by that comment! And he just looked at my other friend and said something in another language and my friend understood him and said that he said that I should be ashamed of myself and that if he went back to his country he'd be killed! We immediately left and felt very uncomfortable! Never again!! read more

I don't have a option to give negative star ,but this place deserves negative rating , going into details ordered a full tray of goat biryani for a party , its sheer negligence of the chef/management to maintain the quality of the biryani , the full tray biryani was dumped with remains of goat pieces with excess oil and chilli paste .Hardly it was edible for our party as a entree dish. We'll never be back and never recommend to anyone for a takeout of full tray goat fry biryani from this place . FYI , Be aware, it will upset your stomach because of excess oil. read more

I have been craving some Indian food since my neighbor shared some with me years ago. I am a creature of habit and therefore usually only try new places that are highly recommended. I was in the area and stumbled upon the Biryani Hut. The two gentleman who worked the counter or possibly the owners were very inviting and kind. I wasn't sure what to order and there was a language barrier (for me) so I asked if they had a menu with pictures or possibly something on the wall. There was even a buffet that was covered I could not look at. Even the menu wasn't very descriptive of ingredients, so that would be my only complaint. Consumers need to relate to their purchases. I told the gentleman I'd like something with no meat or dairy and with a lot of vegetables. He made some suggestions and I asked him to please mark them on the menu for future visits. I went with the Veg Kurma and something else; however, only one order was made. Again, a miscommunication. I was only charged for the item I received. It was delicious!! I also got plenty of naan bread. I will definitely return as I am curious about other options. But I'll be guessing and see what happens. Fun, right!? read more

Ok, we were a party of 6 for the Saturday brunch buffet. The buffet is from 11-4pm. We arrived around 1 pm. We were the first ones there, so the waiter removed the covers from the chafers once we were ready to eat. We were disappointed from the moment we saw the paper plates and plastic ware to put the saucy food on. The food wasn't hot....and none of it tasted good. I wouldn't be surprised if they were leftovers. Around $30 for the buffet and a drink. iIt was an overpriced let down. We will not be going back. read more
