A quick look showed that one of the lift cables had broken. I checked the Profetta Door Company website, and it showed that they opened at 7:30 AM. I was on the phone at 7:31, and they promptly answered my call. Roughly 90 minutes later, their team member was at my house, making repairs. He replaced the cable, did a check of the opener's internals, adjusted the door, and had me back in business in barely an hour. Great Job!!

The tech told me the overhead rack could not be repaired, and he had a replacement in his truck (upsell?) I told him I would get another recommendation and he told me I had to pay a$150 service charge but the whole new unit would be $500. total. I felt uncertain but I told him to install the new unit, which worked great. Although the website said they accept checks, the tech refused and charged me $25 to use my credit card. The next day, the wall sensor on the other unit did not work; power was on, but nothing moved. After many, many calls and threats to cancel the payment, Snap did send a different tech out who was very confrontational and denied even touching the other unit. I called a different door company; that tech found a loose connection in the unit...problem fixed. Recap: unit and installation 5 stars. customer service: one star.

Their process involves deceptive pricing structures, a complete lack of upfront communication, and shocking customer service. * The Pricing Trick: Two weeks ago, I called them because my garage door felt heavy. They quoted me $250 over the phone to fix a spring. After inspecting it, they told me the spring wasn't broken yet, but they completely failed to mention any service or trip fees. When the spring actually broke a day later, I hired them based on that $250 phone quote. * The Bait-and-Switch: Once the job was done today, the final bill was suddenly over $350. When I questioned why it was higher than the quote, the installer condescendingly "schooled" me, claiming my door had two springs and they "never just replace one." If that is industry standard, the person on the phone should have clarified that upfront instead of using a low quote to get their foot in the door. * Unacceptable, Hostile Behavior: The installer was curt, miserable, and incredibly rude. After I paid him and he walked away, he actually made a special trip back to knock on my front door just to argue with me again, insulting my property and calling my yard "swampy." In reality, he bizarrely chose to hike through the woods and climb through a back chain-link fence instead of simply using the clearly visible vinyl side gate right by the house. Even my normally sweet dog immediately picked up on his aggressive, hostile energy. The job got done, but it came with hidden fees, mansplaining, and an installer who went out of his way to intimidate and insult a customer on their own property. Avoid this business.

Reliable - They came when they said they would. Trustworthy - I had no clue what was wrong and was ready to buy a whole new garage door opener. That would have been expensive because I have an unusually high rise door. They suggested I hold on that until they looked at it. Sure enough, it was just a gear they could replace, and they did so on the initial visit. I hope it is okay to say that I have worked with a few places in town and nobody is like Tri-Co.
