Such great memories revisited. Service was excellent! I never felt pressured or rushed to order and finish my meal. They do take reservations for the bar but we were able to get a table in the dining room. I had the BLT salad, risotto balls, and halibut which was all perfect. Enjoyed dinner at Bold. Really great food service and ambience. This was awesome but on the expensive side of the value equation thus 4 vs 5 stars. If money is not a factor then I would recommend Bold. $162 for 2. Each with one drink, appetizer, no desert but did include tip. About my food: loved my plate. Excellent presentation aroma and very hot. Flavor supported the perception. Scallops perfectly seared, crab rich and meaty, and shrimp very large and cooked perfectly. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired....you see a standard strip mall exterior. This belies the interior, which is decorated in warm colors with am inviting feel. Eat at the bar (Golf Channel on tv), at a high top, or around a low-rise table for a larger group. The menu features small plates (I saw several people ordering then sharing 4 or 5) as well as large plates. A popular large plate option was the seafood trio, with scallops (2 large), shrimp (2 large), and lump crabmeat, over a spinach and rice-polenta style cake with a citrus-beurre blanc sauce. Laura at the bar was wonderful, and accommodated every request we had! She treated us like we were regulars. The drinks were yummy. The food was just divine. Steak was cooked exactly how ordered, and the special dish was the best whitefish I've ever had. The crème brûlée was also the best I've ever had. I was savoring every.single.bite. I have always loved Bold! When I first moved here years ago it was my go-to for a nice dinner out, but without having to be really fancy. The menu is constantly changing but the service is always excellent. The waitstaff treat you like royalty (in my opinion anyway)! Yes. It's on the pricier side but I think it's well worth it for a nice evening out! One thing I love, but that you have to know going in, is that they're not in a rush to feed you and get you out! First your server will come by to get your drink order, and only after your drinks are served will they ask if you're ready for a food menu. I'm always in a rush through life and I love knowing that I can come here and have a long relaxing dinner and not feel pressured to finish or give up my table to the next guests walking in! Always always ask for their specials!! The chef will sometimes make specials based on what he has in the kitchen and they're always fabulous! Today's small plate special was a whitefish pan seared and served over squash/zucchini with some delicious creamy dill sauce (oops I didn't listen that carefully to my server!). I could have eaten 5 of these they were that good!! Another favorite of mine is the wedge salad. They have a spicy or not spicy option for the dressing and seeing as I don't like spice I ask for non-spicy. The bacon is house made and the blue cheese on it - best salad hands down!! read more

I just can't. During the height of covid, I saw for myself, and heard from many close friends, many, many instances of Bold staff not wearing masks, not taking the pandemic seriously. I used to love Bold but this pandemic is serious stuff and 700,000 deaths in 18 months is real and I have a hard time supporting businesses who did not seem to protect everyone. Bold, I hope you show me in the future that you care about the entire community. I know masks aren't fun but they really are not that big of a deal when protecting our community from covid. read more

We had a friend show up to join us for a drink and they would not accommodate. Told us the other tables won't opening were double booked. No one sat at them for remainder of the night. Iif I was being picky and had my way, I'd like to see a bigger dining room with more ambiance. It's very open and can be a tad noisy. It would be fabulous if it had some quiet little nooks where you could have a secluded feeling with you and your guest(s). Back to the food......a fabulous menu that never disappoints and their special features are always interesting and delicious. The drink menu has an extensive list of cocktails. I'd recommend the Bold martini. A mix of gin and vodka, shaken, not stirred. Topped off with some bleu cheese stuffed olives. The old fashioned is always excellent too. We had a very simple and relatively light meal. The portions were big for the small plates and salads so plenty of food. We both had salads I had the Caesar salad which included white anchovies. I love anchovies and they were very good. And my bride had the salad special including heirloom tomatoes mozzarella and balsamic glaze. This was a very good salad and very filling. We followed with some small plates, including the Panko crusted whitefish over asparagus. We also had the Brussel sprouts with bacon and onion. These first two small plates were excellent.
