On a Saturday night at 5 pm I attempted to eat at Big T. I walked in and asked the hostess if we could sit at the bar area. She said yes so myself and dining companion selected a booth in the bar area. There were multiple tables available. While my friend was in the restroom we were approached by another host ( an older man) and told we cannot sit there. We were told we could wait 10 minutes or so for another table. I explained that we asked the other hostess to sit in the bar area and she said OK. The way this was handled was not nice. This is after I had a 30 person party there a little over a year ago. So if this is how they treat repeat customers, I would stay away. I will NEVER go back. He could have just picked another table nearby, the place was not even close to full. The food here is amazing from burgers , pot roast , prime rib , we love stuffed mushrooms and Olive or Blue burgers . Open faced hot turkey with mash potatoes and Gravy are better then mom makes . So many wonderful and flavorful beers . My favorite is Smuff Berry . Outstanding blueberry taste , They have a Milkshake Raspberry IPA that is a very strong second in my book , plus if your looking for a imported beer they have over 125 in thier coolers . Service has always been over the top friendly , and the Ambiance is warm and inviting . If your in town you have to try it . Game days this place can get packed . Prices are very very good . The service was good, the ambiance was good (a couple of old drunken men screaming at the bar but, oh well) the food was horrible, the bun on my burger disintegrated and the patties had absolutely no taste, I put hot sauce, salt and pepper and there was nothing to help it. The sweet potato fries were okay, they needed a little longer in the oil as they were limp. My husband ordered boneless chicken wings and what he got were frozen chicken nuggets that weren't good at all, and they came without any sauce; his beer was flat and the taster he got was horrible. Came here for a joined birthday dinner for my wife and littlest. We tried to call in for a reservation a couple weeks ago and were told they didn't do them, but then was told this time that with the size party we should have called with a reservation. Pretty frustrating with you have younger kids with you and have to figure out where everyone is sitting once you arrive. The waitress did a great job with our large party and the food was ok. I've been going to Big T's since I was a kid. The food isn't exceptional but I've also never had a bad meal. The menu is huge and heavy on the fried side but they have fish, burritos, burgers, soup, salad, etc... it's really a menu where anyone could find something. They now have the salad bar back which usually has a lot of good options. My favorites here include: jalapeño soup, tater poppers, blue gill basket and hot Turkey or beef sandwich. The jalapeño soup is a great dip for other fried appetizers too. The place has changed but also remained the same since the 80's. It has the same vibe but also has expanded and upgraded a bit. They have an extensive beer list and brews from their own brewery. We were a party of 5 and were seated right away despite the place being busy and had excellent service. The parking can be tricky with limited parallel spots in front and scattered lots in the back. I always enjoy my dinner here and am glad to see them still around after all these years. read more

My best friend grew up in Lawton and has always told me about Big Ts. After attending a football game at lawton hs with her we decided to stop here for food. Big Ts is a huge building and they have a very large menu. When you walk me in you can see the salad bar which my best friend raves about. She also always talks about how good the blue gill basket is. I got the bean burrito no cheese as i figured it was the closest to vegetarian/vegan I could get and I had been craving a bean burrito. I also got the salad bar which I have to say I really enjoyed and loved the ginger dressing. my burrito was also good and it was a good portion. my friend ordered a blue gill basket of course and chicken finger basket to go. she also loves their ranch as big Ts is one of those good ranch places. the service was good and surprisingly super fast and Big Ts met my expectations. Jennifer was our server- she was the kindest person and gave us the best service ever!! My family and I are from out of town about 3 hours north. We're in town for our one year wedding anniversary (we married in Marcellus). On the way to dinner my husband felt ill and was sick at dinner. She brought him crackers and house made ginger ale to help with his stomach. When we decide to leave early because he wasn't feeling better, she quickly brought us to- go boxes for our food, along with a large cake with a heart on it out of whip cream and single candle for our one year anniversary! Loading our children up in the truck, she saw my husband getting sick outside and brought us a bucket and napkins for our drive back home. I cannot thank Jennifer enough for being so incredibly kind to our family, the great conversation and the service. I will never forget her! Went strictly for the salad bar today for lunch, I had been there years ago and remembered a very good salad bar. Today I was unimpressed. The spinach was wilted to start off. There were an ok amount of vegetables but only 1 meat option. It was cubed ham and I don't eat ham. Thankfully there was hard boiled egg and cheese I could have as protein on my salad. The mixed salads (potato salad, pasta salads, etc) were ok. Not great, although the broccoli salad was not even ok. It was perhaps too vinegar-y. Soup of the day was a stuffed pepper soup which was maybe the best thing on the salad bar. No fresh rolls either, just fry pre-wrapped rolls. Yesterday we went to Big T. It's usually a treat for us because we can't afford to go out much. The ribeye dinner is my favorite! But, as disability doesn't keep up with inflation, the dinner is no longer an option. Big T does have a ribeye sandwich that's almost half the price and it has been really wonderful in the past. This time, on Wednesday, it was sub par. The taste was there. The cheese and onions on it were good, but the meat had great clumps of fat. Yes, I know ribeyes are well marbled, but the amount of fat exceeded the amount of meat. The other thing was that the tendons and/or ligaments made the meat difficult to cut and chew. The knife couldn't cut it and simply tore the meat instead of cutting it. The fries were very good. I made a mixture of ketchup and Franks red hot sauce for dipping them. A group of us went to Big T's last Wednesday because we love their perch dinner! We weren't disappointed. It was delicious! They give you a lot to eat for your dinner. And the salad bar is wonderful. However, I mainly came here to brag up the waitress. Her name is Katie. She was probably one of the best waitresses I have ever encountered. She was quick, personable, very friendly, and she didn't get anything wrong. She was right there with an extra drink and extra napkins! We didn't even have to ask. Before we left, we asked if she would take a picture of us. Our group consisted of our mom, her 3 kids, and their spouses. This doesn't happen often as we don't all live close by. Seems like our waitress was too busy talking to "Dave" about her long day and football, I kind of feel bad coming into the restaurant bothering her. Popcorn and food all over the carpet in the dining room, really gross. The salad bar was fine, clean, nothing exceptional. My cod was chewy, I've never had chewy fish before, a little more batter than fish, just odd. My big t fries are just over cooked potato wedges with no seasoning, not even salt. Some malt vinegar would have been nice, but she was busy. 3% service charge to use a credit or debit card, yup, it's a cost of doing business, and they can charge for it, when I saw the sign, I wanted to leave, but my companion didn't want to. Big T has my favorite blue gill and also New York Strip. Also, their salad bar has the little garlic toasts which are so good. They have a ton of beers on tap and also a lot in cans. Some of the cans we have gotten have been past their shelf life, though. During the pandemic, servers were wearing their masks under their nose, which made me stay away until I was double vaccinated. But overall, their menu is great and I enjoy going there. read more

I had to make a trip south today, and since my friends and I are collecting Tagabrew tags (tags you can purchase at brewpubs), I decided to stop at Big T's in Lawton. First time I've been there, but I am sure to go back. The flight of beer I got was terrific, and they had so many choices. Each of the ones I tried were excellent, and I ended up leaving with a growler full of "That's My Jam" because I loved it so much! I ordered an appetizer of crab stuffed mushrooms, and a bean chimichanga. The mushrooms were amazing, and filled me up so much that I only ate a couple of bites of my chimi and brought the rest home. It was great too, but I was full of those yummy mushrooms! The service was top notch, Elizabeth took great care of me until her shift ended and then she turned me over to Afton, who was equally attentive and cheerful. It was a lovely lunch, everything was delicious and they were taking appropriate safety precautions due to Covid-19, so I felt completely safe. All in all, I can recommend this place for anyone that likes good food, happy and pleasant staff, and tasty brew! read more

Ugh...It's so sad what the Big T has become. I grew up a few miles from here and it was a mainstay throughout my childhood and teen years and it was ALWAYS a great place. The Big T burger used to a top 5 burger in my book, but after my visit today, I can tell you the whole place is a shadow of its former self. My wife and I both had the burger and it was almost nothing like it used to be, the ingredients seemed to be a cheap substitute, and we both ordered medium and it was over well done. There were also weird signs blaming the government for them not being able to hire employees or something and also the reason they just have to charge an extra 3% on credit cards. Seriously, get a grip, that's just laughable and pathetic. I'd heard it wasn't the same under new ownership but my gosh this is really bad. It smelled gross in there as well. Service was nice and that's about it. Just bad/strange vibes in there and I'd say stay away. read more
