A great simple American/TexMex restaurant that's been in business in Lawton, MI for many decades. The food is straightforward and cooked to order. The burgers are cooked as requested - not cooked to death. The salads and toppings are fresh. The fries are perfect. The waite staff is delightfully friendly and good humored! A perfect place to have to stop for lunch or an even meal. read more

I've been walking into that place for a while now. The girls there during the day usually know what I want when I walk in. The food is usually good and if you like fish the Perch or Bluegill basket is pretty tasty. I try to get in there just for the Perch at least once or twice a month.. anything else that I have had in there is pretty good. I wished they would open back up on Tuesdays though..but I recommend T's to hang out with some friends or family for sure read more

One of the few restaurants I am aware of with a full service salad bar! My family and I have frequented this establishment for as long as I can remember. Food is solid every once in awhile you may have an anomaly but usually it's solid bar food. read more

Service is always good. They have a large menu plenty of options! They do get busy for a small town place be early or prepare to have a short wait on the weekends. It is split into 2 areas. Bars section with tv's and music and a dining room area more family friendly quieter side. read more

Fishermen platter with garlic broccoli. Lightly breaded perch, bluegill and walleye and cooked perfectly. The one trip salad bar was very clean, fresh and with many options. Good rustic atmosphere with clean restrooms. Great friendly service for a Wednesday night - first time passing through town. read more

The food here is amazing from burgers , pot roast , prime rib , we love stuffed mushrooms and Olive or Blue burgers . Open faced hot turkey with mash potatoes and Gravy are better then mom makes . So many wonderful and flavorful beers . My favorite is Smuff Berry . Outstanding blueberry taste , They have a Milkshake Raspberry IPA that is a very strong second in my book , plus if your looking for a imported beer they have over 125 in thier coolers . Service has always been over the top friendly , and the Ambiance is warm and inviting . If your in town you have to try it . Game days this place can get packed . Prices are very very good . Has to be my #1 small town place to eat and drink beer. read more

The service was good, the ambiance was good (a couple of old drunken men screaming at the bar but, oh well) the food was horrible, the bun on my burger disintegrated and the patties had absolutely no taste, I put hot sauce, salt and pepper and there was nothing to help it. The sweet potato fries were okay, they needed a little longer in the oil as they were limp. My husband ordered boneless chicken wings and what he got were frozen chicken nuggets that weren't good at all, and they came without any sauce; his beer was flat and the taster he got was horrible. We will not go back. read more

I've been going to Big T's since I was a kid. The food isn't exceptional but I've also never had a bad meal. The menu is huge and heavy on the fried side but they have fish, burritos, burgers, soup, salad, etc... it's really a menu where anyone could find something. They now have the salad bar back which usually has a lot of good options. My favorites here include: jalapeño soup, tater poppers, blue gill basket and hot Turkey or beef sandwich. The jalapeño soup is a great dip for other fried appetizers too. The place has changed but also remained the same since the 80's. It has the same vibe but also has expanded and upgraded a bit. They have an extensive beer list and brews from their own brewery. We were a party of 5 and were seated right away despite the place being busy and had excellent service. The parking can be tricky with limited parallel spots in front and scattered lots in the back. I always enjoy my dinner here and am glad to see them still around after all these years. read more

On a Saturday night at 5 pm I attempted to eat at Big T. I walked in and asked the hostess if we could sit at the bar area. She said yes so myself and dining companion selected a booth in the bar area. There were multiple tables available. While my friend was in the restroom we were approached by another host ( an older man) and told we cannot sit there. We were told we could wait 10 minutes or so for another table. I explained that we asked the other hostess to sit in the bar area and she said OK. The way this was handled was not nice. This is after I had a 30 person party there a little over a year ago. So if this is how they treat repeat customers, I would stay away. I will NEVER go back. He could have just picked another table nearby, the place was not even close to full. So if you like being treated poorly this place is for you!! read more

Came here for a joined birthday dinner for my wife and littlest. We tried to call in for a reservation a couple weeks ago and were told they didn't do them, but then was told this time that with the size party we should have called with a reservation. Pretty frustrating with you have younger kids with you and have to figure out where everyone is sitting once you arrive. The waitress did a great job with our large party and the food was ok. Not bad, but the restaurant could have been better. read more

Elizabeth is super friendly at the bar, we have enjoyed everything we've tried.....looking forward to next visit!

Place is gone down and service is awful. Wait staff always seems irritated when they have to work.

Great food and staff . Also very room for family time for dinners. Prices are fair for these times.

I highly recommend great service amazing food great place for all ages. We will return again read more

My best friend grew up in Lawton and has always told me about Big Ts. After attending a football game at lawton hs with her we decided to stop here for food. Big Ts is a huge building and they have a very large menu. When you walk me in you can see the salad bar which my best friend raves about. She also always talks about how good the blue gill basket is. I got the bean burrito no cheese as i figured it was the closest to vegetarian/vegan I could get and I had been craving a bean burrito. I also got the salad bar which I have to say I really enjoyed and loved the ginger dressing. my burrito was also good and it was a good portion. my friend ordered a blue gill basket of course and chicken finger basket to go. she also loves their ranch as big Ts is one of those good ranch places. the service was good and surprisingly super fast and Big Ts met my expectations. Nothing fancy but it got the job done. read more

Great place! Will be back when I. The area. Accommodated my allergies. So nice and a big place!

Mediocre food - not great not bad. Lots of beer choices, decent salad bar, free popcorn and a large menu. I just wish food was a bit better. Walleye was full of bones, ribeye steak was on the lower end of the spectrum.....but for $24.00 I guess ok. Gravy on the hot beef sandwich way too thick to be enjoyable. It took 3 try's to get my order right.....enough said. read more

My wife and I have been going to Big T's for years now. For beer drinkers the Tommy Tetuski Memorial Beer Drinkinng Club is a must. I've completed it once and am working on my 2nd time thru. It cost only $1.00 to join and it's fun drinking your way thru all the beer choices they have to choose from. We love all the great bar staff they have and the fun friendly environment. read more

Went strictly for the salad bar today for lunch, I had been there years ago and remembered a very good salad bar. Today I was unimpressed. The spinach was wilted to start off. There were an ok amount of vegetables but only 1 meat option. It was cubed ham and I don't eat ham. Thankfully there was hard boiled egg and cheese I could have as protein on my salad. The mixed salads (potato salad, pasta salads, etc) were ok. Not great, although the broccoli salad was not even ok. It was perhaps too vinegar-y. Soup of the day was a stuffed pepper soup which was maybe the best thing on the salad bar. No fresh rolls either, just fry pre-wrapped rolls. Not sure how it was worth $9 for unlimited visits. read more

Love this place, food is great and beer is cheap. Hoghly reccomend! They even put on our football game for us

Yesterday we went to Big T. It's usually a treat for us because we can't afford to go out much. The ribeye dinner is my favorite! But, as disability doesn't keep up with inflation, the dinner is no longer an option. Big T does have a ribeye sandwich that's almost half the price and it has been really wonderful in the past. This time, on Wednesday, it was sub par. The taste was there. The cheese and onions on it were good, but the meat had great clumps of fat. Yes, I know ribeyes are well marbled, but the amount of fat exceeded the amount of meat. The other thing was that the tendons and/or ligaments made the meat difficult to cut and chew. The knife couldn't cut it and simply tore the meat instead of cutting it. The fries were very good. I made a mixture of ketchup and Franks red hot sauce for dipping them. Katherine, our server was wonderful. She's very personable and friendly. The best part of going out to Big T's! read more

Good food, good service, cozy atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meal and walked out happy. We had the burger, shrimp and fries, beef tenderloin and mushrooms, trout, crab stuffed mushrooms, jalapeño cheese soup, fried clams, big t fries, and probably some other things I'm not recalling. I would definitely check this place out again. read more

A group of us went to Big T's last Wednesday because we love their perch dinner! We weren't disappointed. It was delicious! They give you a lot to eat for your dinner. And the salad bar is wonderful. However, I mainly came here to brag up the waitress. Her name is Katie. She was probably one of the best waitresses I have ever encountered. She was quick, personable, very friendly, and she didn't get anything wrong. She was right there with an extra drink and extra napkins! We didn't even have to ask. Before we left, we asked if she would take a picture of us. Our group consisted of our mom, her 3 kids, and their spouses. This doesn't happen often as we don't all live close by. Thank you Big T's and thank you Katie for the exceptional service!! read more

Good was good, not awesome Salad Bar pricing is extremely costly. Over all service was good.

Seems like our waitress was too busy talking to "Dave" about her long day and football, I kind of feel bad coming into the restaurant bothering her. Popcorn and food all over the carpet in the dining room, really gross. The salad bar was fine, clean, nothing exceptional. My cod was chewy, I've never had chewy fish before, a little more batter than fish, just odd. My big t fries are just over cooked potato wedges with no seasoning, not even salt. Some malt vinegar would have been nice, but she was busy. 3% service charge to use a credit or debit card, yup, it's a cost of doing business, and they can charge for it, when I saw the sign, I wanted to leave, but my companion didn't want to. Imagine if a 3% off coupon could bring in new business, or a 3% charge will ensure I don't give this place another try. Skip big T, read more

Big T has my favorite blue gill and also New York Strip. Also, their salad bar has the little garlic toasts which are so good. They have a ton of beers on tap and also a lot in cans. Some of the cans we have gotten have been past their shelf life, though. During the pandemic, servers were wearing their masks under their nose, which made me stay away until I was double vaccinated. But overall, their menu is great and I enjoy going there. read more

Took my family for dinner tonight. I had a western prime rib sandwich. The sandwich was good but the au jus was terrible. My sister had a chimichanga and the salsa tasted bad. Wife had an open face beef sandwich. The gravy was bland, maybe out of a can. I had to make a trip south today, and since my friends and I are collecting Tagabrew tags (tags you can purchase at brewpubs), I decided to stop at Big T's in Lawton. First time I've been there, but I am sure to go back. The flight of beer I got was terrific, and they had so many choices. Each of the ones I tried were excellent, and I ended up leaving with a growler full of "That's My Jam" because I loved it so much! I ordered an appetizer of crab stuffed mushrooms, and a bean chimichanga. The mushrooms were amazing, and filled me up so much that I only ate a couple of bites of my chimi and brought the rest home. It was great too, but I was full of those yummy mushrooms! The service was top notch, Elizabeth took great care of me until her shift ended and then she turned me over to Afton, who was equally attentive and cheerful. It was a lovely lunch, everything was delicious and they were taking appropriate safety precautions due to Covid-19, so I felt completely safe. All in all, I can recommend this place for anyone that likes good food, happy and pleasant staff, and tasty brew! read more
