Looking at the pictures as I leave this review....everything was so yum!! My family and I were a group of ten and we were in the neighboring area for the weekend. It was our last day and we were looking for some good breakfast, our favorite way to spend some girls time together. We went two one place before this and they couldn't accommodate our table size but they recommended a second place. We tried getting there but they said that our group was too big and someone beat us to the table they had open. Thankfully, we found The Breakfast Place that was so quick to accommodate us. We called them on the phone and they told us to come right on it and they'd get a table cleared for us soon. With great speed and pleasure, they found us a table big enough for all of us, got us seated and had the best team of servers to help us. We had a very nice young man who was assisting us and he was so friendly and patient. He also had a young lady assist him. I wish I asked their names but they were great. Both very young and exceptional. Went above and beyond. Everyone was super pleased to see the extensive menu and we all left feeling full and satisfied. Whether we had people craving savory skillets or omelettes or those craving sweet breakfast items like pancakes and French toast, we all left super happy that we were able to eat here. This is a great community staple and if we are in the area again, it'll be the first place we visit. I took my nieces here for a little girl time. We decided to try a new to us place: The Breakfast Place. We had high hopes since this is the meal they specialize in, and they did a delightful job. I'm glad we got there early because even though this is a small town, it filled up quick. The littlest decided on the pumpkin cheesecake waffle and a hot chocolate. She loved both of them immensely. The next got a classic breakfast and a hot chocolate. They both commented on how much they loved the hot chocolate. Pancakes are my go to, and these pancakes are large. Along with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, I was completely satisfied. Small town friendliness and delicious food. Worth the visit. read more

It's always been my best way to judge a good breakfast place. I've had this breakfast here and it's always good. This time I stepped out of the box and tried a omelet with home fries and wheat toast. Best regular old coffee, nothing fancy...just a good cup of coffee every time! The huge breakfast menu is great! It's only breakfast! They have seasonal fresh specials! Strawberry season you MUST try the Strawberry waffles! Asparagus season anything with asparagus is amazing! My favorite dish is the Mushroom and Spinach skillet but I have the eggs made over easy rather than scrambled! This place is always packed never disappoints! The staff is friendly and does their best accommodate your requests! Delicious breakfast! Coffee shouldn't cost over $3 a cup with tax. Service was great. Not real fancy inside.

Moved to Lawton just over a year ago but we never do anything in Lawton. So starting the New Year right decided to change that. We went to the Breakfast Place and we were not disappointed! Charming small town restaurant, really cute inside and immaculate..even restrooms! The waitress was a sweetheart, attentive and friendly. The menu was huge. I settled on a pancake bigger than my noggin, hubby for the Spicy Hot Mess..and it was both! Spicy and a mess which he loved! Eggs, cheese, homemade spicy gravy, sausage all piled on top of biscuits. Yum! Coffee was delish and dark, our fav! Sorry it took us so long to try this sweet spot but we'll definitely be back!! read more

At breakfast time, you can expect great food for a fair price - but you might also have to wait on busy weekends. It gets crowded on Sat and Sun for sure. Their food is fantastic, especially their waffles, omelettes and Pancakes. Seasonal pumpkin spice waffles were really a great find. They have fresh ingredients and a great menu. The dining area is spacious and open. A few Tv's and really hard working waitstaff make eating here great. It's perfect for large groups. Interestingly enough they also have ice cream here in the summer. After breakfast hours, you can come inside for a nice selection of hand dipped ice cream. It was fresh and reasonably priced. A great place! The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and made to our customized order. I always go with a classic of two eggs over medium, toast, extra crispy hash browns, and extra crispy bacon which was cooked to perfection. My family got a variety of sweet confections which they all thought were delicious. Their cinnamon rolls were made to order which my grandfather loved since he was able to get his without frosting. We have visited the Breakfast Place since it opened. We especially love the coffee and American fries. However, over the last year or two, the service has suffered, possibly due to being understaffed. The waitresses are friendly and seem to do their best. I'm not sure if the Breakfast Place needs more servers or help in the kitchen, but the wait between being seated and receiving our food is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this has happened on several occasions, even when the restaurant does not seem busy. I hate to jump ship but we will be trying other options for breakfast. read more

Decided to eat breakfast here with friends prior to a Thursday morning golf outing. This was based on online reviews. It was definitely a great choice. I had the Country Biscuit. Egg on top of biscuit topped with cheddar cheese and sausage gravy. Very tasty and a nice portion. One of my friends had the Eggs Benedict and enjoyed it though a bit too much hollandaise sauce. Others had basic eggs meat and toast breakfast but all enjoyed. Solid breakfast food, quick and friendly service that won't break your budget. All these combined for the five star rating. This place lives up to its name. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast on Memorial Day. I splurged with a biscuit and gravy combo that included a fresh biscuit, tasty gravy, sausage patties and properly cooked eggs. My wife had a breakfast burrito with green chiles, cheese and more. A good surprise to find in a nice small town. (In addition to breakfast items they also serve a wide variety of soft serve and hard ice creams in small ice cream parlor area.) So great for breakfast. Classic diner type comfort food. Pancakes are amazingly fluffy and yummy. The Hot Mess hits the spot on a slow Sunday after a long Saturday night. And the fruit cup is fresh fruit with fresh Michigan blueberries & strawberries, etc. (e.g., not canned fruit cocktail). Service is always amazing (especially fast & hustling Miss Olivia!). Considering the positive reviews I had to check the place out. Yelpers, you lied to me. This restaurant was an epic disappointment for me. I ordered the strip steak with eggs, potatoes and raisin toast. The strip steak was cooked right but the flavor was off. Whatever marinade or seasoning they used had a terrible taste and coated my mouth. The eggs were served over hard despite the fact I ordered them over medium. They do not carry butter, only margarine. My husband got the country fried steak that was good but nothing special...at least it was edible. There was one server for the whole restaurant. You never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. With that being said I will never go back. read more
